We need to speak hard truths to our friends, kids and families in a gentle compassionate way. We won't change the hardcore trans cultists. It's really sad that they won't debate sensibly. A lot of people even now do not know that men who identify as Women are in Scotland's women's prison. When most people find that out and it's true they start to rethink their beliefs. The point of what these Women and men like me who support them are saying isn't about transphobia it's about safeguarding all vulnerable people. Even I get hatred for having very mild views, I've lost friends. I'm an absolute nobody and I've lost friends! Imagine what these guys have been through.
British police are supposed to respond to "non-crime hate incidents", where they might call on someone to ask them to check their thinking after someone reported being offended by something they said. Although not considered a crime, they're recorded and can be found by prospective employers, affecting job applications and suchlike. Not to mention it being a waste of police time, while burglaries hardly ever get investigated, and nineteen women can complain about rape or sexual assault by the same man over two decades and he's never charged.

Virtue signalling is what it is but cases are coming to the fore with nurses taking legal action in Scotland and England over men in female changing rooms. Call them up and ask if they'll support eg Alzheimer cause and rights for a month or stand up for the rights of people under going cancer diagnosis. By having no flag whatsoever, (at a hospital, a cafe, a charity shop, etc etc) should indicate that everyone is included.

In one detrans video I watched, the speaker said it wasn't "gender dysphoria", but rather it was "social dysphoria", which rings true when I consider the case of my lost daughter.

Like most things, their is some truths in bodily dysphoria and gender non conformity, or more specifically sex non conformity. Sex non conformity is a result of a shift in the opposite sex direction ( mentaly and behaviours). This is on a huge scale. You say that gender dysphoria is hocus pocus. If one's behaviour, pychology, and other aspects of one's pychi is seen be an individual as similar to the other group. That can induce sex dysphoria if, one doesn't fit into the group one is expected to. If one then express one's sexual orientation in a similar way to the opposite sex. Then there is a problem. A gay man wont be attracted to them. Especialy if they don't look masculine. The straight acting gay men, you may be attracted to won't be interested. He will want someone masculine in a relationship. You have a problem. Wheras one may see that all of one's qualities will be attractive to a man that wants what you are except for one thing. Your male. You have a problem. Many in this category don't even fully masculiise. Small, youthful looking, confusing to both gay men, and straight men. You have a problem. These are rare, but do exist. Blanchard reported all of this. You should do one's best to accept one's sex, if one can't then, your left we few options. Those that historicaly make life changing desccisons. Do fit like a glove into the other group. They then disappear. Just being as you call in gender non conforming is just in the majority of cases, your just gay. But we also shouldn't sugar coat the facts that even they, may struggle to find suitable partners. In a nutshell being gender non conforming, isn't gender dysphoria, but some do drift towards the so called trans community . Something I don't really beleuve exists as a community. Ordinary homosexuals, sexuality does have a typical male expression, even if gender non conforming. It won't work for them. That is what we're seeing with some de trans.

Pronouns are more than a matter of free speech. She pronoun refers to a biological female. He pronoun refers to a biological male. It's much more than just a matter of free speech Its a matter of reality and dissembling reality. It's not okay, nor should it be legal for a man or woman to claim the opposite sex pronouns.. A person now called ' trans' should have to use a double pronoun - a man who presents as a trans woman should have to have the pronoun heshe - indicating by the first root pronoun that they are a biological male.. Similar for a trans man - pronoun shehe. Language matters.. There are men and women, he and she. That is ALL people . No cis pronoun needed. Then there are a minority of people with gender disphoria who are not comfortable with their bodies and their gender and want to change to the opposite sex.. But that's not physically possible. To ease their discomfort and to be visible for their mental health a special separate set of pronouns to describe them and for them to use would not disrupt society ie heshe and shehe.. My psychiatrist and therapists know nothing about the real issues, I've done my best to explain but it's just not on their radar because they don't deal with kids. Yes, they're switching genders for the perceived social benefits of being a woman! Feminists have said for years that men have an advantage in society and misogyny is rather commonplace, and yet some men are still seeking this approach to transition into a female. Not Autogynephilic, but a man who identifies as a man yet, is socially and sometimes surgically transitioning to a female for the perceived social benefits, sports included. If it’s mainly about sex or relationships, then why not come out as gay or bisexual? Why pursue a male-to-female gender transition? Being a man in this day and age is difficult, but being a woman has its own set of unique challenges. Though Transmaxxing is becoming increasingly trendy, I just don’t get it.

The old Meath hospital in Dublin is now a medical centre. There is a side building to the right of the main building that has horizontal wooden panels that are painted in trans colours. Also a big trans flag in the window. But about 2 months ago the front of the side building was painted white. I heard someone wrote something on it. So they had to paint over it. They also have a gender free toilet. I was looking for the men’s and was told there was none. Only unisex toilets.
Strange that all of this is getting pushed so much, yet you come to the comments here and will struggle to find a single person arguing from the trans side of the debate. It's almost like they are a tiny minority who aren't represented in society hardly at all, but are represented in media as if they make up half the friggin' population. I know of 1 trans person (had the hormones replacements therapy) in the town I live in. Yes, I know, it's only 1 which I know of, obviously will be more, but there are more than 145,000 people in my town. Woth yheybway it is being pushed, you'd expect me to see a trans person everyday, multiple times. Doesn't happen. Most people are normal, in this sense. Just had a quick google search - 0.2% of the UK identifies as trans. There are probably more people who think Elvis is still alive...
Let me walk some folks here through my personal experience. I'm trans, hello. You'd never know it passing me in the street, why? Because I don't make a mockery of people. Many people are uncomfortable with it being mainstream and fear people taking advantage of it or pushing it onto children... these are valid and legitimate, but unfortunately for folks like me with genuine dysphoria it's highly frowned upon so we don't seek treatment and it festers and grows until we die or seek some kind of therapy. Talk therapy never helped me, and in fact anytime I got push back it made me realize... yeah, no... I'd want even the shit sides of being a woman. From both an analytical and emotional perspective I'd still rather be a woman. The macho persona men are pushed towards doesn't appeal to me, so I guess yeah... I'm not a "real man" or even a man at all in any sense, and have no desire to be.
If a 16 year old girl who weighed 85 pounds came to you and told you she was fat and disgusting and needed to lose 85 pounds, would you affirm her anorexia and encourage her to lose the weight, or would you maybe try to convince her that the problem is with her mind and not her body and she needs mental health care to teach her to see reality? Affirming gender dysphoria is no different than affirming anorexia.
The countries which legislate that race and gemder are self identified , can be changed, no proof needed and their selection is legally binding and can change birth certicates drivers licence and passport details legally. If you give different groups different rights and privileges, self definition of membership may not be the perfect solution, but shurely a better one than complete foreign definition. British police are supposed to respond to "non-crime hate incidents", where they might call on someone to ask them to check their thinking after someone reported being offended by something they said. Although not considered a crime, they're recorded and can be found by prospective employers, affecting job applications and suchlike. Not to mention it being a waste of police time, while burglaries hardly ever get investigated, and nineteen women can complain about rape or sexual assault by the same man over two decades and he's never charged.

Like most things, their is some truths in bodily dysphoria and gender non conformity, or more specifically sex non conformity. Sex non conformity is a result of a shift in the opposite sex direction ( mentaly and behaviours). This is on a huge scale. You say that gender dysphoria is hocus pocus. If one's behaviour, pychology, and other aspects of one's pychi is seen be an individual as similar to the other group. That can induce sex dysphoria if, one doesn't fit into the group one is expected to. If one then express one's sexual orientation in a similar way to the opposite sex. Then there is a problem. A gay man wont be attracted to them. Especialy if they don't look masculine. The straight acting gay men, you may be attracted to won't be interested. He will want someone masculine in a relationship. You have a problem. Wheras one may see that all of one's qualities will be attractive to a man that wants what you are except for one thing. Your male. You have a problem. Many in this category don't even fully masculiise. Small, youthful looking, confusing to both gay men, and straight men. You have a problem. These are rare, but do exist. Blanchard reported all of this. You should do one's best to accept one's sex, if one can't then, your left we few options. Those that historicaly make life changing desccisons. Do fit like a glove into the other group. They then disappear. Just being as you call in gender non conforming is just in the majority of cases, your just gay. But we also shouldn't sugar coat the facts that even they, may struggle to find suitable partners. In a nutshell being gender non conforming, isn't gender dysphoria, but some do drift towards the so called trans community . Something I don't really beleuve exists as a community. Ordinary homosexuals, sexuality does have a typical male expression, even if gender non conforming. It won't work for them. That is what we're seeing with some de trans.

I am a retired lawyer and I missed it when our federal government - led by a woman, ffs - amended the Sex Discrimination Act in 2013 and in doing so had the definition of 'man' and 'woman' removed and replaced with the term 'gender identity'. I'm so frustrated that people just won't listen and how hidden this,all is. I live in small town canada 🇨🇦, and I'm shocked how even after the CASS report, nothing has changed. My psychiatrist and therapists know nothing about the real issues, I've done my best to explain but it's just not on their radar because they don't deal with kids.

Politicians and political activists colluding to remove the reccomended health care from children is not asking for reasonable discussion, and there has been decades of research conducted into Trans people, going way back to the 1960s now.
Of course if politicians ignore the research and shut down the centres which cater to Trans people, which is what has happened in the UK, then of course can pretend that no such research exists and there is no one left to contradict you

The old Meath hospital in Dublin is now a medical centre. There is a side building to the right of the main building that has horizontal wooden panels that are painted in trans colours. Also a big trans flag in the window. But about 2 months ago the front of the side building was painted white. I heard someone wrote something on it. So they had to paint over it. They also have a gender free toilet. I was looking for the men’s and was told there was none. Only unisex toilets.

I know of 1 trans person (had the hormones replacements therapy) in the town I live in. Yes, I know, it's only 1 which I know of, obviously will be more, but there are more than 145,000 people in my town. Woth yheybway it is being pushed, you'd expect me to see a trans person everyday, multiple times. Doesn't happen. Most people are normal, in this sense.
Just had a quick google search - 0.2% of the UK identifies as trans.

Let me walk some folks here through my personal experience. I'm trans, hello. You'd never know it passing me in the street, why? Because I don't make a mockery of people. Many people are uncomfortable with it being mainstream and fear people taking advantage of it or pushing it onto children... these are valid and legitimate, but unfortunately for folks like me with genuine dysphoria it's highly frowned upon so we don't seek treatment and it festers and grows until we die or seek some kind of therapy. Talk therapy never helped me, and in fact anytime I got push back it made me realize... yeah, no... I'd want even the shit sides of being a woman. From both an analytical and emotional perspective I'd still rather be a woman. The macho persona men are pushed towards doesn't appeal to me, so I guess yeah... I'm not a "real man" or even a man at all in any sense, and have no desire to be.
Whatever you do though you aren't a woman you are only what you think a woman is.

If a 16 year old girl who weighed 85 pounds came to you and told you she was fat and disgusting and needed to lose 85 pounds, would you affirm her anorexia and encourage her to lose the weight, or would you maybe try to convince her that the problem is with her mind and not her body and she needs mental health care to teach her to see reality? Affirming gender dysphoria is no different than affirming anorexia.
The countries which legislate that race and gemder are self identified , can be changed, no proof needed and their selection is legally binding and can change birth certicates drivers licence and passport details legally.

If you give different groups different rights and privileges, self definition of membership may not be the perfect solution, but shurely a better one than complete foreign definition. Foreign definition gives the state a kind of power which it shouldn't have.
I say this as a German, Germany once had a state definition of what was a Jew, you should know what followed.
To add, that state definition was as arbitrary as sex assignment at birth sometimes is.

In the case of sex change, trans means transition. In the case non-binary folk trans means a transendence of gender construction.

It is the same in every western country. Real trans people don't need this because no-one would know they are trans after transitioning. So it is obviously about something else and coming from a very central point in the world and coming top down.

I would have no problem with a 'trans' woman calling himself heshe.. then like some grammar I know that no matter what 'she' looks like, however female sounding and looking, that I am talking to a person who is male, the sex being indicated by the first part(root) of the joint pronoun and that person should not have access to private female spaces.
I know also there's specific female conversations there is no point in me asking advice or exchanging expeiences about with them because a male can't have had those experiences not being a woman.
Also there could be joint pronoun toilet and safety spaces. All ' trans' people should feel more comfortable sharing spaces with each other than demanding that men or women share their spaces with them and pretend that they are the same. They are not.
The nonsense that they want 98% or 99% of men and women, not to be refered to by their pronouns of reality.. but forced to be called CIS women and men!! It's ludicrous.
It's the trans persons who need to change THEIR pronouns to something new if they are rejecteng their biological identity and physical reality.

The only way to understand trans is to read Judith Butler's Queer philosophy of the late 80s and 90s and some of its background in the decade before.
