Yeah, knowing about second page on dock is so OP for low enough elo. I remember discovering it by mistake because I was going to research everything and didn't know what arrow does. Found it. Didn't find how to get back. In meantime forgot about it and then rediscovered it, eventually I figured it out. :-D Also dunno how low elo perceive fire ships, but back in the day, I didn't like some units just because they felt like they don't kill stuff fast enough and I didn't quite grasp what is good about fire ships. Same as I didn't like archers due to micro. Or mangonels because of friendly fire. It didn't also help that I am from country that didn't have native language support, so I didn't really understand what tooltips said. :-D So I was mostly just clicking stuff and figuring it out, if it was easy enough to figure out. Oh and because blacksmith had so many upgrades, I would always build four of them to speed things up, otherwise I would forget about queuing other upgrades. Fun stuff, til eventually someone explained bit more to me and I eventually got better in english, so I actually understood tooltips. :-D
I do think grabbing the neutrals is important at that level of the game. It's useful to have economy that the other player isn't even thinking about. That way you have the resource to address a landing on your main island.
What a fun game, and Islands is such a fun map to play. And I don't agree on the Dock ranting. If you play this game you should be able to READ. And should be able to see THE HUGE RED ARROW indicating that there is a second page. The only thing I would change with the dock layout is switching place between the trade ship and the fire ship. 😎😎

I havent played that much AoE, but I remember for a good while I though none of the civilization I was using had fire ships, until T90 mentioned it in a video. Or how I though Conqs needed the horse upgrades as well.
Oh the days where i used mangonels to counter enemy fire ships cuz they sank my galleys. It was an ego battle for me: your fire ships vs my mangonels since i liked to believe that fire ships were waste (as i couldn't find/train them..) 😂
Something T90 never mentioned with the introduction of auto-scout is that it is another change which advantages eco-focused players. Not only can eco-focused players get information about the enemy base without any effort, but they might get tipped off about an enemy attack without any effort, and most valuably to them they get to know where all the resources on the map are with zero effort. Terrible for the game.
I remember playing a mod with sheep and I won by sending all the sheep to my friends base and it lagged him out so bad I was able to strike his base from a distance with siege tech...
That blue name is, I believe, a Japanese racial slur similar to the N word or "pale face", think in those lines. I'm not Japanese and it's been a while since I last watched it, but I believe that it's explained in Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift. If anyone knows for sure, then plz let me know.

Elo is there rating system used for the game. Higher elo implies a better player. T90s low elo legends series follows and gently critiques games of players with lower elos (i. e. your typical player).
Elo is the ranking system. When you start the game in ranked you are given an elo of 1000 then need to lost games to get to your rank. Low elo legends is any player considered "low elo" which is typically under 1000 despite 1000 elo being like the top 30% of players. (Give me a moment to verify this claim)

If I played ranked I would be around 150 ELO and I would certainly be scared of the number. That said, I would be scared of most things, but still.

at least after scouting a neutral island it drastically reduce the chance of building 2 archery ranges on it
