One of the most beautiful songs ever written. My mother passed when I was only 7 so obviously I have some resonation with the lyrics but still, its just so brilliantly written I'm sure I would love it even in another life.

I remember when this album came out and the storm this song in particular caused, a lot of my friends started to distance themselves from Metallica but I liked it instantly. Seeing this performance made me think "I can do that" and inspired me to perform solo acoustic sets, this being the first song I ever played on my own live....
