For those of you that missed it, the rare album mentioned in the title and thumbnail was “July” which was found at 6:26. This album is a mega rare psych album and this particular copy was sold right after we put it down at either £1200 or £1500 (my memory doesn’t serve me so well sometimes!)
Don't dismiss thin vinyl out of hand. That could mean it's direct metal mastered (usually indicated as DMM in the deadwax) and, more generally, some of my best sounding records are super thin.
The pitch depths are in most cases the same no matter of its 120-180grams, so it would not make any difference. But I guess that if they cheap out on the weight and do a 110gr instead of a 140gr, what else did they save money on in that production. I actually prefer the thin ones, less chance to get warped and always lays out flat on the record player.
@@johan1840100% correct. Dangles are incredibly thin and are some of the best sounding pressings I own. David Bowie’s Dynaflex pressings are amazing as are Lou Reed👍
Great video as always!! I have that July og and the funny thing is that it’s the second copy I have found. The first copy was in a bag of junk going to the garbage. I did a video on it.
I think it's the July album they showed very briefly. That's a very rare one. They didn't buy it so I'm not sure why it's in the title. Just a guess on my part.
That LP you picked up at 5:46 wasn't Tudor Lodge! It's called 'This Is Young & Renshaw' from 1971and was by Paul Young (later Sad Cafe) and Frank Renshaw who were both former members of Manchester R&B and beat group the Toggery Five who recorded two brilliant and collectable 45's in the mid 1960's.
Iron Butterfly’s album Ball, is a great album! One of their best. I think their first album and this one are two important Psychedelic albums. Definitely worth buying. I really think most people don’t know this album very well
Two of my favourites in your stack there - Scott and Rory! I recently picked up an OG copy of Scott 4 for £60, but £80 isn’t a bad price either these days.
I have that July album. I paid about £2 for a VG+ from a charity shop about 25 years ago. Great record. That one you found was an OG copy as well, had the major minor text in the top left hand corner.
That Easy Rider-soundtrack I have also, good album! Do they have there many new wave /alternative records there on that market ? greetings from Belgium Vinyl Hunter Jason 🙂
The “Helloween” album is a bit of a shocker tbh😬 Especially coming after “Keeper…Pt II”. The lead single, “Kids of the Century” was alright, but it’s almost a ‘Rock’ album and not a great one really 🫤. Still, each to their own, I’m sure someone out there loves it and I guess you have to have it if you want to complete collection of theirs🙃

I caught that. Have it on CD. Good album. Not 1200 pounds, good, but $15 for a CD good, definitely.
I remember going to massive record fairs in Bristol Temple Meads and The Bierkeller when I was a kid.. Still have everything I bought ❤❤❤
Your grandad creases me up! 😂 love him
Love this show!! ❤❤❤
poppa dave fanclub here .
Sign me me up too 🙋♂️
What's your favourite Poppa Dave moment thus far?
I’ve got the original Track Axis Bold as Love, sounds amazing! Definitely worth the 40 pounds

Seen Rory... Amazing❤❤

Where was the clip of one of the rarest albums?
I am asking this myself also: It certainly ain't that Helloween or that Rory Gallagher album...?!?

@@mikesrockinrelics could be a repress or a reissue - but an originel is really very rare
they just lost me with that July hype thing ..

I got my copy of July for £1 about 20 years ago. M/M. !!

Wow. Even that Steve Miller Album is awsome
Dr Stien❤
Great Video Jake & Dave 😊
Great video july is an amazing album
Isn't July the first band of Andy Sumner? Edit: That was Dantalion's Chariot.

What did you think of the Iron Butterfly record? Personally, I've always found that one to be a classic. Cheers!
An album so rare blink and you would have missed it?
You must have got there early, it gets very busy later in the day with loads of tourists and casual browsers.
I have an OG Canadian pressing of July.... even rarer.
Another great band on the Transatlantic label is Skin Alley, you guys should definitely check them out! My favourite is their 3rd album Two Quid Deal
Marsupilami were also great. Just recently bought a vinyl reissue of CMU 'Open Spaces' which was originally on Transatlantic.
I think that the Album July from JULY is the rarest you found at this market ... 🙂
Chase,American band in the style of Chicago and,BS&T.Several members were killed in an air crash if my memory is correct?
I am staggered an LP as rare as that July was just shoved in the crates with all the other stuff 😧
So what was the price on the July? I'm gonna guess between £1500 to £2000, if it was a solid cooy. Top of my wants list.
July price???
Stray album is the last one I am waiting to get to complete my collection and I don't have the Jimi Hendrix Axis lp either, painful watching this...
Worldwide Fanclub??
That July an original or reissue,??.. just seems too unbelievable a record seller won't know an original July.
It's a UK original! Sold for somewhere between £1200 and £1500 at that very fair 😱 are you a fan of the album?
@thevinylhunters yeah brilliant uk psych gem mate
