Wow ! Very nice sound from the kit. Has a very nice bottom end sound to it. Controlled. The cymbals sound nice too. Sabian . Both the kit and cymbals compliment each other. This kit looks and sounds fantastic. Well done.
What about the fact that they are end grain but joints? In my experience making segments rings the strength comes from overlapping when it is face grain or edge grain. End grain glue joints never seem to hold up over time...
That would be amazing! I'm growing an apple tree from seed right now & wondered "Hmm.. i wonder if apple tree's could actually work as drum wood?" Haha!! Thanks for the reply ;) I currently play a Birch Tama Silverstar & love the bright, open & louder tones it gives!
A real joy to listen to this player on this kit. Very special!

Absolutely gregorus! sounds magnificent👌
These sound (and look) amazing. This isn't Keller shells slapped together with hardware and called "custom". This is legit drum building.
Both ear 👂 and eye 👁 candy 🍬 drums 🥁
i want my snare to sound like that! how did you tune that snare?
Nice build! These guys put the tractor in protractor.
drums sound awesome. how do you keep the butt joints from failing under the pressure of playing?
It's over lapped at the joints.
What about the fact that they are end grain but joints? In my experience making segments rings the strength comes from overlapping when it is face grain or edge grain. End grain glue joints never seem to hold up over time...
How do you join the maple to the pine? Lap joint?
That snare sounds amazing! Can anyone give the specs on it? Great work on the kit!
Jeremy Freelon it’s a one off snare that has sold. It was end grain heartpine. It sold for $1800. Thanks so much for asking!!
Thank you.
What does the cost on a kit like this run? Something like 22,10,12,16
Brian Muehlher shoot an email to derrick@outlawdrums.com he'll help you out.
That drum set sounds superb! Great job gentlemen! I was wondering if Apple Wood can be used to make a drum set?!?! Would it be hard/dense enough?
DemiseMusic&Entertainment apple wood.. I’m sure it would be fine. How ever I do have a apple tree on the property. Was thinking about it.

Bird house material.
Great job Michael!
Did you guys ever make a
snare drum the same way?
Matthew Paluch we did not. We made one close to that. Thanks man!
Matthew Paluch we did not for this kit.
but.. different woods absorb water at different rates.. even with the best wood glue out there, how do you keep them from separating in 10 years?
What kind of snare is that?
Muito bom
Builds a stave drum kit and then spends the entire video playing the snare drum that isn't included?
