Mark, if u don’t mind naming the cafe? I am heading to Scotland in July and Paisley is first on my list ...all Because of Paolo. Meeting him is my whole entire goal of This journey! And to see your beautiful country of course !
Adele was recording at Abbey road on the same day. When Adele heard Paolo Nutini was in the studio too she went in to his studio and watched him record Iron Sky. Adele was watching from behind the camera and she said at the time it was the best live recording she'd ever heard.
I grew up around the corner from where he lived hes the most genuine human being and that voice in my opinion is one of a kind. If you care to know if fairly sure he learned Italian folk singing from his grandfather thats how he can sing like he can.
What an incredible comment. Perfect description . I would say for the genre he is best vocalist of his generation. Eddie Vedder/Kurt Cobain before him, Mick Jagger/Jim Morrison/Paul McCartney before them. So many others deserve mentions like Van Morrison, but honestly Paolo is 1 in a billion. Only one other young singer has this level of potential: Henning May. If Paolo and Henning ever sang just ONE song together I would die a very happy man.

I loved you reacting to Paolo Nutini. He is one of my favourite singers, incredibly talented and criminally underrated. You saying "who is this guy?" Mirrored my reaction upon first hearing him and I immediately dug into his entire catalogue. I've been a massive fan ever since. Love him and love that you reacted to him as I'm a big fan of yours.

Scottish musician Paolo Nutini did a memorable show in São Paulo, Brazil, 4 years ago. Punctually starting at time, the musician played his greatest hits and drove the passionate audience crazy.. the song “Last Request is huge here.
I’ve heard this years ago and I’m so happy you’ve reacted to it. It’s truly amazing. It really puts you on a trance the whole time. Ahhhh! Also Chaplin’s speech was such a good add to it. Really good.
Reminds me of Richie Havens at Woodstock, singing "Freedom". Amazing. You're not finding this song too late. You found it right on time. Nice commentary.

I have to say ... I never make these comments, in years of watching UA-cam, not once ... and yet, here I am. Your reaction to this, one of my favourite songs, actually increased my enjoyment of the song, which ... was not easy to do. And the reason for this is that your reaction was so genuine, so authentic, so mirrored my own ... that I felt like I was watching it with a friend whose taste I understood and who understood mine. Well done.
Possibly his best. Absolutely love the speech in the middle of the track too, from my favourite scene of The Great Dictator by Charlie Chaplin, and arguably my favourite speech of all cinema history.
My mind is absolutely blown. I’ve known about paolo Nutini for years as a pop singer with some pretty good music. This is nothing like anything else I’ve ever heard him sing and it was incredible. You should really listen to some of his pop hits, last request, candy, pencil full of lead, just to hear the contrast!!!! Also a reaction to Joshua colley would be great - he’s a broadway singer and you can pick almost anything by him and get a demonstration of fantastic vocal production.
I listened his first record in 2008, but I didn't see him (what he looked like) till a year after. I was amazed! I thought I was listening to a very much older person! He definitely sounds like an old soul. One of my favorite artist till this day, really hoping for some new material to come out ♡

Awesome Scottish singer who hit the uk charts with a funky little track called new shoes, his first album was cool and funky and sweet and romantic in spirit and feel, his latest work is deep and soulful, full of hurt and angst that reminds me of classic 1950/60's soul
7:26 Yes! "Double-tone vocal fry." That's what I was searching for, what it was in that voice that was so compelling. I heard the ragged rasp, the emotion, and all that, but I lacked the trained ear and knowledge of technique to identify that. Thank you! Excellent reaction!
I saw him when 5 months pregnant with my daughter. She’s now 10 and has literally listened to him her WHOLE life. My 7 year old’s favourite song in the world is New Shoes. He knows every word!
I know you did this 3yrs ago. But you should do a comparison to his first hit that I know of,,, Candy. His vocals are so on the other side of the spectrum from this song. Of course that song is playful and fun. But hit it with such a high pitch. That's the song that turned me on to him.
First time hearing this song, first time hearing of this singer, first time seeing your channel... and I've instantly fallen in love with all 3! "So... that happened!" Hitting the nail on the head! Haha. Subscribed and hooked! 💯❤😊🙏

Omg, i love him! When I went to his show the power went out due to the weather, and he performed via candlelight and a backup generator. It was still AMAZING.

Scotland’s finest , never heard a better voice , even better than Rod Stuart and ( pushing my luck here ! ) Kelly Jones
It’s a tuff choice between paolo and kelly, both got serious vocals.
Your not pushing your luck at all, Paolo is just as good a vocalist as Kelly, even better in my humble opinion. 🙏🏽💜.
Love him, been to see him twice
Amazing to see an artist paying tribute to Charlie Chaplin's humanitarian speech from "The Great Dictator". This song is SOMETHING ELSE. Thanks for the great reaction 😍
