  • This week we are restoring a 100 year old wrench manufactured by the Vlchek Tool Company in Cleveland Ohio. Vlchek was a major manufacturer of tools in the early to mid 1900's and supplied many if not most of the tools that were included with automobiles at the time. This particular tool is void of any marks except a single logo and a mold number which means that it was most likely part of a tool kit.

That wrench is STUNNING! You got the ends of the wrench so shiny just in your sanding and buffing I'm surprised you even did the electroplating! You have given me some ideas on the old wrenches I have!

I love the look of a highly polished nickel electroplated part so I couldn't help myself. The black paint with the clear coat came out very strong after the proper curing time also so I expect this wrench to last a long time. Thanks for visiting the channel. Please take the time to review some of my other projects and tell me what you think. Thanks for your comments. Cheers!

Thank you! The polishing took a lot of time but I believe it was worth it in the end.

Thank you! It took so much time to sand and polish the heads but it was worth it in the end. Cheers!

Very nice! The polishing is, unfortunately, a very slow process.

Thanks! I think it took about three hours to sand and polish each face. Worth it in the end though, especially with the nickel finish. Thanks for visiting the channel. Cheers!

Thank you! Strange about the missing link. Thanks for letting me know. I just checked my post details and it shows to be there and it showed on my device. I'll keep an eye on it. If you use an Apple mobile it may be that. I know someone else who uses one and she cannot see any embedded link cards or end screens in videos that she watches. Thanks again for letting me know and thanks for visiting the channel. Cheers!
