As a South African, Trevor has a natural gift with accents. He does our various domestic accents and dialects excellently too! 😊
Pity he is such a fckn sellout.
@@cleochots3073he has an South African accent.
@@lilianhaggland2031South Africa has several accents, based on the various tribal groups and their languages, that's what napez is trying to say.
@@lilianhaggland2031 what are you trying to argue?
His Australian accent was okay but to an Aussie, we could still hear the South African accent.
That loud laughter from that guy... He related from personal experience 😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
First time I've heard a non-Aussie do justice to the Aussie accent! Respect 👍
The man can make you die of laughter in just 5 minutes. His first laugh is in 30 seconds. A legend
I agree.
Yoooo 🙏🏽 found a legend's comment. Can't wait for the world finally recognize you for your art. Fan from 🇧🇼
Agreed
Trevor Noah has a good friend who is Australian and he picked up the accent by listening to him. He does lots of different accents very well.
Trevor lied to you & you believed him😅
@@ogone1465comedians have cap stories all the time, u cant trust comedians😂😂😂
Althaf Noah. Trevor Althaf
He's a master at accents. A very clever comic. Definitely one of my favourites. Also, as an Aussie, that accent was bang on.
As an Aussie also I didn't think it was bang on at all. Yes, I could also hear the South African accent in there with it.
My wife who is Russian absolutely loves his skit with his Russian accent sounding like a DJ backwards! 🤣😂
Yeahh...
His Russian is my favorite of all!
I enjoy watching him mimic Putin.
I love that one watched it many times 😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
his aussie accent was spot on. always hard to come across a non aussie coping the accent flawlessly.
Trev really nailed us 👏 👌 proper accent, we loved him over here, he can stay.
😂😅 that WAS great.. Trevor ALWAYS delivers A★ performance.. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
That is a solid Aussie accent!🤣🤘🇭🇲.. Respect
good but sounds leb aussie at times
1:30 😂that guy's laugh
Finally a decent Aussie accent. Comedy at its best, pulls no punches and isn't worried about offending anyone.
Proudly south African...my brother from another mother
Trevor is a master class in accents.
Excellent job on the Aussie accent. The food thing at customs is true there are a whole host of diseases that we don't have here, so keeping them out is critical to our bio-security, they could nearly destroy our food industry, so you with the apple...
I see what you did there 😂😂
I remember when I was a kid in Western Australia and you could eat clean fruit straight off of your backyard trees with no fruit fly maggots and no pesticide needing to be washed off..
Now you have to make a choice between the dangers of pesticide or the revulsion at maggots. Maggots are not so bad if they're small enough though.. Extra protein!
The damn British guards did their job pretty well back in the day, kept all the germs out and the prisoners in!
We've watched enough movies to know that all the worst villains are just sitting there, munching on apples. We've found a good way to stamp out that problem.
The fruit thing coming into New Zealand is the same , for the same reason. Don't land at Auckland airport with a banana in your handbag. $200 fine...
The funny thing is when a lot of people try an Australian accent they often sound South African…so it doesn’t surprise me that a South African can pull off the Aussie accent.
Very true like a Afrikaner South African. Very similar I must say. But Trevor Noah executes it in such a elegant manner.
Yeah I've thought that before. Like, is that an Aussie character? Oh no, he's supposed to be a Saffa
Yeah we can do the Auzzie accent
True... Most South Africans can do a good aussie accent
@@mrb2643lmao no you can't 😂
He’s good. He sends up his South Africa accent well too.
Jeeeeeeebus! That ‘customs officer’ rant was absolutely SPOT ON! I had a moment a few seconds after he segued out of that voice where I stopped and reminded myself that it wasn’t a recording that he took and rolled out for his bit on stage - it was actually Trevor bloody Noah pulling it off! Unbelievable.
Everything spot on good 😂😂😂😂😂Thank you for sharing this clip. I miss seeing Trevor on the daily show, but stand up is his first love.
Am south african..hrew uo watching Trevor..what i like is the fact that i can watch hs shows over and over again and still laugh like its the first tym
As a South African we love Trevor he always makes people laugh proudly South African
Im from trevor noahs home town and what makes the accents so good is when you go to uct aka university here you never ever speak the same way again😂
OMG - I had to play the host twice - Scottish accent is … almost like Welsh 🤯 I have no words! 😃
The stuff about Customs is actual TRUTH
Easier for a Saffie or a Kiwi to do an Aussie accent. But still a good job. Dev Patel in a movie called Lion absolutely nailed it.
Trevor is good with accents 😂
The three hardest English speaking accents: South Africa, Australian and New Zealand.
Which accent in South Africa
Have you tried Irish
@@abdulkiryowaDo they even speak English in Ireland?😅
I lived in New Zealand and I spoke the language after two weeks, it took me to learn Dutch again in one and a have year.
How about Scottish or Welsh?
When an Aussie asks or get asked how's your day the answer is always yeah good or no worries it's a polite greeting that isn't supposed to be answers with an honest answer you could have the worst shittiest day but we don't really care answer yeah no worries 😂
Trevor knock it out the park every
time 😂
He is one funny man 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Trevor Noah is extremely good at accents and comedy people.
Love from South Africa. Marilyn xxx
Give him that he was good, he did a pretty good Aussie accent too.
Tri-nations
the cats out of the bag, he's actually an Australian pretending to do a South African accent.. haha... its that good ;)
LOOOOVE Trevor - pure genious!
Trevor is quite talented and he works really hard. Way to go expanding your horizon bro!
He is very quick and funny! 😁👍 Yes your assumptions are correct, they always bring bags of food and never fill out the food declaration! 🤯 Ignorance is no excuse, it's printed in every language! We have a precious eco system as we feed many countries! NO SEEDS, BUGS, LEAVES OR MEAT! They are fined, the food trashed and destroyed! 🤨
Damn good Aussie accent... Sounds just like Mark Taylor, Cricketer 'ret' / Commentator. This was heaps of fun to watch. You will have a great time when you travel here.
Good times when trevor was still SA and funny lol
Fruits are a massive thing here because we are so far from everyone... we grow most things here and if we get an outbreak of fruit flies from somewhere else it will destroy our fruit farming.. we don't even take fruit across borders here due to that
Wow! That's an amazing practice. Wish we had similar things in South Africa, but with so much politics here we can't
@@simonboyane1140You are part of a much larger landmass. Australia is still largely an island, and NZ even more so. The 😊issue isn’t fruit flies, but we don’t have many of the diseases such as rabies, Dutch Elm Disease, foot and mouth and until now we have avoided the disease that has been wiping out honey bees.
We want to keep it that way.
Fruits here don't have many of the diseases that are in other countries. We even have fruit restrictions between states.
He must have a knack for doing accents. It's true that the Aussie accent is very difficult. I have heard many people try to do an Aussie accent and most of them sound South African.
He has a close mate who’s Australian, he apparently learned it from hanging out with him
For South Africans it’s easy
Yeah my brother Trevor right there🇿🇦💪🔥
The Australian and South African accents do some fairly similar even to us sometimes that’s why we do each other’s accents more easily?
Australians are the friendliest pple in the world! Very laid back, nothing shocks them😂😂😂 I guess that's why.
His attempt at an Aussie accent was pretty good, but he lasped into an English accent in places. Our Customs ppl are obsessed with fruit because, as a island nation, we have the opportunity to keep out a lot of foreign pests & diseases.
That was great😂
My boy right there🇿🇦...love him to bits❤❤❤
I never realised how much of an Aussie accent I had until watching reaction videos. I always thought it was the the rest of the world that had accent. I actually so say " how ya garn" bought to my attention by reaction videos amoungst other true blue Ozzie words. 😅
Love your ability to make us laugh. This was truly hilarious 😂 😂😂
I had a short conversation with an Australian once, it takes me a few minutes to understand what he said. I'm not from an english speaking country so it's not easy for me
I always feel like the word "here" is the fastest indicator if someone has an American, Australian, New Zealand, South African, English, Scottish or Irish accent. In any case, Trevor has always had amazing skill with switching accents.
The Aussie accent was pretty good. Not perfect, but pretty good. It's hard to get rid of the SA accent. They are similar but so different.
That was spot on, he nailed the accent. I remember being asked in Ireland Do you have costome between the States in Australia. My answer was they are not very strict you can take drugs from state no problem but if you get caught with fruit you go to jail. It was a joke of course, but almost true.
I did like this performance.
Hi Matt. I love your reactions I'm always looking out for the next one. As far as Australian accents are concerned Scottish comedian Danny Bhouy is great not only has he got the accent he's nailed the vernacular. Danny Bhouy live at the Sydney Opera House is fantastic. Too long for a reaction but well worth a private viewing. There are many individual clips from longer performances which involve Australian accents like Fruit Police and Gecko Attack. and obviously Australian accents. I'd love to see your reaction to one or more of these. Cheers from Oz
DB did a show on the back of a tour of the outback. I saw it on ABC a long while back and would love to see it again but can’t remember what it’s called. DYK? I wonder if he does the same job in countries elsewhere and how popular he is in Scotland.
@@kathyconway5327 The only one I'm familiar with is the Live at the Sydney Opera house from 2007 in which he does refer to touring Austraqlia
@@tlihdsnm26947 I’d imagine he’d have been there more than a few times it ran so long but when I tried again to find this thing I saw a Montreal festival event he did where he was mimicking a gecko he had interacted with on his travels and it was very familiar and so I thought I may have conflated that performance with an Arj Barker ABC show about travels in the outback. These two are very similar in some respects and I am an idiot so it makes sense to me now that I would have mixed them up.
Dude, your pronunciation of Noah is so South African 👌🏾
His Aussie accent was great. Customs you would not get through if you had food, plants, seeds they would be confiscated and you would have a big fined. Then you would be on your way.
That was great and spot on. Beat Aussie accent of heard. It’s a hard one to do.
I was at customs at Melbourne Airport and the the officers were going through cases and pulling out loads of banned foods from an Asian visitor. The visitor was arguing and throwing a fit but the officers stood their ground. Melbourne, and provincial cities in Victoria, has a huge Comedy Festival annually, in March.
I enjoyed watching our boy in Australia. All that's needed now Matt is for you to learn to speak English!
Both my daughter studied at Wits University. We are predominately Afrikaans speaking parents, but their English is outstanding, when converse with one another.
Trev is a real phenomenon
😂😂😂Hillarious, gotta love Trevor
Danny Bhoy does the best aussie accent. Sydney Opera house 2007.
You must hear the skit where he coaches Barack Obama as Nelson Mandela.....the voices are unreal
HAHAHA brilliant. 😂😂😂
You are doing a great job !
Awesome, wish to visit Australia soon
That bloke did a perfect aussi accent i really enjoyed that love the way you love aussi humour im hanging out my aussi flag on the front veranda this friday australia day dispite all the controversy which has put a damper on it but anyway thanks mate for the entertainment
He’s great…👊🔥❗️
Nailed it
i lived in Edinburgh for 13 years, I always like to hear a Scots accent. Perhaps you could react to SA Chicken Licken adverts, very funny and innovative.Greetings from Cape Town
South africans are some of the most eclectic people of any nation.. so It shouldn't come as a surprise honestly ❤️
Love the videos though, Keep em coming!!!
I think South Africans and Ausies have close accents
You just gained a follower broe 😂
that was great. Really good on his accent.
Yeah his Aussie accent was really good. Only two or three pronunciations weren't right, but generally, exellent. Trevor Noah's accents are very good.
@TrevorNaohofficial - thanks for esponding to me. I think I was only talking about your Aussie accent coz that came up in one of the videos. I've watched or been at a few of your live gigs (in Australia) which are bloody fantastic. I admire your material even more than I love fooling around with accents & I'm a huge fan of comedy.
xx
Linda.
Fruit is massive here and it’s not just customs. The state borders have designated stops either side for you to throw away any fruit you might have in the car.
Arj barker observations of Australia are pretty good
Trevor will catch his accent immediately 🤣
I'm not sure what the obsession with us Australians is for you, but this channel is great :)
That’s soo true with the fruit lol
You are such a sweetheart. I like you. Just came across your channel and have liked and subscribed.
YT algorithm just threw you my way and as much as am ever entertained by Trevor; I stayed for your accent.💦
😂 Trevor is brilliant. We are very strict about food and animal products entering illegally as we grow and farm so much here.
He should be an actor
😂😂😂😂😂....love the intro I will use it as planning on doing stand up comedy soon ,don't worry i am South African and therefore I am allowed 😂😂😂😂😂
He has been doing it for 15 years..glad u only noticed now
I have seen all sorts of things brought into the country and who knows what diseases they carry. For future tourists, just don't bring any food products with you but if you do, even if you think it doesn't count, declare "everything" you have on you and I mean *everything* . Trust me, the fines are steep and depending on what you are trying to bring in, you could even be deported on the spot. Ignorance is not an excuse.
Yeah, especially apples 😂
Someone may have said this already but I’d say Noah’s accent sound like Eric Bana. He’s a fan I reckon.
Best Aussie accent I’ve heard is Val Kilmer in The Saint .
good accent and very funny
Briliant accent man
💯
Your fan in Durban south africa
Trevor is brilliant with accents - Johan Marais Johannesburg South Africa
Can I suggest the Irish trio Foil Arms and Hog sketch on youtube: how to get through Australian customs. Very sharp.
"What did fruit do to your country?"
It's what it can do, one piece of fruit could potentially destroy our agricultural and horticultural industries.
It's easy for us South Africans to imitate Aussie's.
