One point to consider is the usage signs and durability. The MX master rubber wears after some months with lucid areas and the rubber itself comes off.

@@junechevalier yeah low profile KB are all pretty similar from what I see. I have a K series and K Pro, both 80%. I don't like the regular K but really like the K Pro. I use it at my office job and it fits the décor nicely as it isn't all gamery which is very cringe in a keyboard imho. I would be very, very tempted by a Nuphy Air96v2 (like 96% of the way there, forgive the pun) but I prefer the layout of the Keychron K17 which is a recent release and I would have purchased that if it had been on the market when I got my K1 Pro.
When they upgrade the K17 to a Max (adding 2.4ghz) I will leap on it.
I am still tempted by a Nuphy, Maybe ill get an Air 75 for home.
Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut I agree that the M6 wouldn't exist without the Logi MX 3.
The guy behind me in my office has a MX keys and it is really, very nice. I would be happy to own one. But its more expensive than my Keychron and I prefer linear reds more than the feel of the MX keys. I feel like the MX keys is a unique class of keyboard, developed to a design brief instead of being overly inspired by an existing product.

Seperation of infinite wheel and normal version of M6 is quite better since mx master from it's 3rd version had tremendous wheel issue due to its magnetic tech.
Of course not forgetting to mention M6 has half the weight that of mx master 3s which users were crying out so loud to reduce.
If keychron can resolve some of the issues such as loud wheel sound, build quality etc, I thinkLogitech will loose in the area for sure.

Okay, I got to used both MX3 and M6 for my only workstation with 6 hours plus per day.
For my opinion, I think Logitech MX3 still did better job at this point BUT for big huge of price gap M6 is the great option to be consider. With the materials that cheaper (all plastic), battery not lasts long as MX, clicks is not that silent and wheel mouse is loudddd, no gesture hotkey, and not really stable for their software (you even have to connect usb with M6 before setting anything). But big think that huge pros for M6 is polling rate that you can't find any productive mouse at this price range. Good video BTW.

In the long run, the keychron will outlast the mx master 3 for sure. The rubber used by logitech on the master 3 is probably the worst rubber I've ever tried on a mouse. Wears out way too easily, gets sticky and gross after long term use, dimples start to form where the thumb button is. I've replaced my master 3 with the m6 and I'm much happier with the m6.
Also don't forget to remove the protective film from your m6 mouse feet if you're planning to use it.

Great comparison. I own an MX3 and a Logitech Pro Superlight mouse. I use the Superlight because it is much lighter and I prefer a light mouse. I use both mice for productivity. May I ask if the mouse left and right switches on the M6 are similar in pressure required to activate? MX Master feels great in your hand, but it breaks really easily. I've gone through 3 MX Master models in the past 2 years. One had double click after 2 months of usage, another one just stopped moving after about 12 months, and on the last one after about 6 months the thumb button is broken, i.e. if you put your thumb where it's supposed to rest it reads it as a button press. Very unfortunate. Looking forward to trying out keychron m6.

  • @daisous
    @daisous 7 днів тому

After a month of extensive research on mice and testing the MX Master 3s, I have to say that the MX Master is highly overpriced and not worth it. It looks terrible after just a year of use, and if you’re a designer, programmer, or anyone who relies heavily on a mouse, you’ll likely need to buy a new one every year. The polling rate of 125Hz on the MX Master 3s is comparable to a $5 mouse from Walmart, making it inaccurate and causing significant fatigue when pointing at objects. A true productivity mouse should have a polling rate of at least 1000Hz, which provides real comfort for long hours of precise pointing and cursor tracking.
With a 1000Hz polling rate, you won’t experience headaches, migraines, or the negative effects of blue light exposure, such as blurry vision, eyestrain, dry eyes, macular degeneration, and cataracts. While the MX Master 3s and Keychron M6 are similar in terms of ergonomic grip, with the MX Master 3s slightly ahead, the Keychron M6 still achieves about 90% of the grip comfort. However, when considering the overall comfort for your brain and health with a 1000Hz polling rate, the choice is clear.
The Keychron M6 will help you feel more relaxed during long hours of work, allowing your muscle memory to take over, which reduces strain on your eyes and brain, enabling you to focus and engage in deep work for longer periods, like 4-5 hours. In contrast, with a low-polling-rate mouse like the MX Master, distractions and discomfort can set in after just one hour of use.

I've used some other mice with bluetooth conenction by Logitech and Razer, but they get a little choppy and jittery, and it's a big problem for me as I'm using my mouse to navigate through various 3D softwares which has so many buttons and menus next to each other. Keychron M6 is very precise and smooth even while on bluetooth, and I haven't had an issue with misclicking the wrong button ever since I used it a few weeks ago.

MX Master mouse is kinda sucky. I've been looking for an alternative for a long time.
The material sucks. Rubber is soft, and doesn't handle long-term use well. I mean my ABS plastic keys on my keyboard are now smooth, what can you expect from rubber?
It's also not too comfortable, as it is heavy, and slow to lift.
The features however are unprecedented. The wheel is amazing. But I'd give up all that, as long as it has the 6th button (thumb), which I use on MacOS for multitasking a lot.
If Logitech released an MX Master that's lighter, and without the rubber, I'd pay as much as $200.

The lighter weight is because they're also marketing it as something you can game with instead of just strictly a productivity mouse like the MX. Because for a long time now, a lot of people have been asking Logitech to make a gaming mouse with the shape and features of the MX but they never really quite got that. Keychron wanted to cater that with this product. A mouse light enough to game with, has low latency wireless, and keeping the productivity features.

Unless you buy a 3rd party app. People buy this mouse to highly customize it for their workflows. Not being able to do that is pretty much a joke at this point....because they keep selling it.
