Congrats on getting your hands on this, I've always been told that Chinese Minecraft is crazy but I never knew they took it THIS far. It just feels like an alternate universe version of Bedrock where they kept feature creeping until literally EVERYTHING had a premium skin. You lost me at the cosmetic footsteps
As a chinese person who never plays chinese games, I can confidently say that most chinese gamers hate the chinese version of minecraft. They used to have access to minecraft bedrock on mobile before foreign media became more strictly regulated and netease, one of the biggest entertainment companies in china became minecraft's publishing agent.
Not just Minecraft, other games as well. For example the Chinese actively boycotted the Chinese edition of Warthunder because it was ran by Tencent and sucks ass.

Stupid mod suggestion: Survival minecraft, but every time a creeper explodes the next one's explosion becomes a bit stronger than the last. Permanently.
The reason why there's so many things such as minigames, events, forums, marketplaces, customization, etc. on Chinese Minecraft is because Chinese apps are designed in a way so that you do not need the support of any western apps, Chinese companies want you to use their apps and their apps only, this allows companies in China have massive monopolies over certain areas of the internet.
So these apps are basically designed to generate a sunk cost effect to keep the money only going to that app's owner? Almost impressive how dystopian that mentality being a standard anywhere sounds.

As a Hongkonger, I have been played Minecraft Chinese version when I was 6. I can said that most of the Chinese player hate Minecraft Chinese version. They mentioned that the game is very laggy, single player need WiFi to play it, the pet fox in the game is annoying, the updates always delay. Therefore, they hate it. And I hate it too! As a result, I play Minecraft bedrock when I was 13. And now I'm 14.
I can explain Chinese culture in gaming in three words: microtransactions, piracy, and COMBINING. From first hand experience, it's hell. It's only cool at first but once you're a few hours in, you start to question yourself and ask yourself how and when you got here. It's just a hell stew made by adding in whatever that is popular, it's like pineapple on pizza except there's a million other ingredients.

Wow, I had no idea Chinese Minecraft was like that! Fundy should make a launcher mod for regular Minecraft so we can enjoy launching the launcher launcher launcher!
Alot of games in china are different, its because the chinese market is so incredibly different. There are huge swaths of people who just will not play a game if you cant buy your way to the top, and because of the hacking issue many games region-lock china(not to mention chinese internet being restricted heavily). All of this leads to some insane gatcha games
It’s just that Mojang Developers are like thinking of what to put in the game and avoiding the way to impact their game dramatically and also was in Microsoft, Chinese developers just go in and out!
I feel the need to comment about this despite not having finishes the video yet. Although I haven’t played this version of MC I do play a few games that are heavy on the gacha (mostly hoyoverse games). And let me tell you, while gacha games look vibrant, colourful and attractive at first, they aren’t all that cheerful underneath it all, especially not long-term. They’re based on addiction, FOMO, resource management and a need to “fit in” / be at least equally as cool as others. I don’t know how exactly gacha mc works, but based on my experience with other gacha games, there are probably daily chores to take care of that reward a minimal amount of currency you can use to gamble, but ultimately it isn’t enough to guarantee you get what you want, and there’s probably at least a 50/50 to lose as well as a pity system with non f2p friendly amounts of gold / rare pity. To non-gacha players, this means that you have to log in every single day (whether you want to or not) to get some amount of currency that you can use to roll the gacha and have a chance to get the item you want. A chance, that gradually gets higher and, say, guarantees a gold drop on 90 pulls (that seems to be the magic number), which may or may not be what you wanted with a, say, 50% chance for each outcome. This means that you get to grind the game daily and\or spend a bunch of money with the very realistic chance of not even getting what you wanted, and no refunds given if you lost. You just gotta grind and spend more! (That’s why it’s so essential to do your dailies - even skipping a few days feels like a pretty large hit to your account.) Top that off with time-limited and often time-gates events and you have the perfect recipe to create FOMO = the fear of missing out, and create a playerbase that logs in every day because they’re afraid that they’ll lose out on getting what they want if they take a break. Don’t get me wrong, these games can be wildly entertaining long-term too - I enjoy my gacha games very much. But the thing is, these are dangerous games, because it’s MUCH easier to develop unhealthy tendencies in them than a regular game. It can ruin your experience of playing the game and take it from, well, a game, to a daily chore and something you literally need to budget for, like irl. You need to keep a clear head not to fall into unhealthy, toxic habits in these games. And many do fall there, they provide the basis and constant income so all these new, flashy and inviting things can be added to lure in the next unsuspecting victim, i mean player. So while you look at this game and think “man, why don’t WE have that? :(“ remember the cost of those features, and all the things you get to have (having a relaxing experience in the game, controlling the content in your game and getting exactly what you’ve purchased, not feeling any pressure to play and having the ability to take breaks from the game whenever you feel like it, and log in as frequently or infrequently as you want without any consequence or difference, not having to budget, having access to free mods…) in exchange for having a more “boring” and less colourful version of minecraft.

@@FisterTm People below 18 have restricted playing time, something like one hour everyday from 6pm to 8pm. And instead of just asking you to type in your age you need ID confirmation. This is enforced on pretty much all mobile games provided by chinese app-markets. Most foreign games (especially the big ones) available in china are distributed through chinese game dev companies (tencent and netease mostly). They are responsible for updates independently from the original company (chinese mincraft for example only had up to 1.12 when Mojang released 1.16, probably because netease was too busy trying to figure out how to make money from a block game) and also host their own servers, which is independent from the international or even asian server.

Emeralds are given to you free but go away at the end of the month to encourage you to buy more diamond to get enough emeralds instead of losing them, cashing in on the sunk cost fallacy. I'm assuming the other currencies are either free funds, your gold you get from playing or daily log ins, or event currency. And while Java edition gets nothing and we love it for that, Bedrock gets these types of things but because they can't steal mods wholesale the marketplace is smaller and shitty. But they do have some things, they have a Ben 10 adventure map like China's divine boss adventure rush whatever, probably not even translated well.
Chinese version and bedrock version are 2 different things Every great bedrock addon is free and almost nobody posts their stuff on the marketplace And stop with the hating on bedrock for the marketplace nobody is using that everybody gets addons for free like java
@@xCamiscoolx As someone who actively plays bedrock, I can say the marketplace *does* suck to some extent. Yes, there are good mods and creators on there, but a lot of them are ripoffs/reposts of mods you can get free for java. The free mods/maps are mostly limited. They're usually either just a display of something, or are very niche. I've definitely seen a fair number of free, extensive modded maps on there.. Problem is that half of them are tedious, and are free for educational purposes. I tried playing one, where you restore a bayou. It got laggy within the first hour or so, and I couldn't progress any further. With java, you could slap on your own extra mods to help with lag/render issues, like optifine. You can't do that on bedrock. Yes, you can edit the mod content, but there aren't any that improve game processes.. Bedrock is just too limited for that. And as I said earlier, all the good, free maps are niche. One I saw was based in archery. I've been wanting to try it, haven't gotten around to it. I'm good with minecraft archery. But I have a friend with mobility issues, who can't use a bow at all. A map like that would be impossible for her. Other cases are maps aimed at children, or ones that just don't really go anywhere. I tried this disaster themed map once. Thought it'd be minigame like where you and a friend or two just do what you please while trying to survive what the game throws at you. Nope. There was a whole extra story and village you were supposed to deal with. Wasn't what I'd expected/wanted at all, and it ruined half the experience. It was just a stardew valley style game with disasters. (I'm not fond of games like that. Too grindy, and too little freedom. You have to do specific things to progress, and not enough stuff is optional for that) Regardless, point is. Bedrock *does* suck, just not as bad as people make it out to be. I do really like some of the stuff it has compared to java, like the ability to put potions in cauldrons/dye from cauldrons, or the fact bedrock leads have *slack*. Why don't java leads have *slack*? It's so much nicer. Makes it look like you're not constantly choking the poor animal. I'm sure there're plenty of others, mostly on education edition, but I can't remember any more off the top of my head right now.
@@fullmoonshadow6967 well I partially agree with you but what makes bedrock good is the compatibility with other devices like an Xbox or a pc and yes I agree some addons do suck but not all of them there are some creators who actually work hard on their addons the issue with bedrock is how hard it is to make addons and where to find them because there isn't an official website that the creators can post their addons and there are multiple bad websites that includes actual good addons that creators post on because they get paid for it or whatever the reason they have to post it in the specific website which makes it a problem for us bedrock users to find add-on if they aren't posted on UA-cam However some addons are still great and highly recommended to use like better on bedrock like poggy and maybe you just downloaded the wrong map to teach archery to your friend And what I hate about bedrock is the lag and bugs in it but in the last few years I haven't came across multiple bugs it's sometimes just blocks not placing when you place them But what makes java great is the mods on it without the mods everybody will play bedrock And what I like about bedrock is the survival mode on it bedrock has alot of cool features that isn't in java like different colour waters and the world generation which makes it interesting and fun to explore the weird world generation But the main point of what I said is to find reasons on why bedrock sucks because some people hate it for minor reasons or for no reason at all I respect your opinion on why bedrock is bad but don't hate on it because of like one thing (And yes I read everything you said lol)

(That’s why it’s so essential to do your dailies - even skipping a few days feels like a pretty large hit to your account.)
Top that off with time-limited and often time-gates events and you have the perfect recipe to create FOMO = the fear of missing out, and create a playerbase that logs in every day because they’re afraid that they’ll lose out on getting what they want if they take a break.

Chinese version and bedrock version are 2 different things
Every great bedrock addon is free and almost nobody posts their stuff on the marketplace
And stop with the hating on bedrock for the marketplace nobody is using that everybody gets addons for free like java
@@xCamiscoolx right I used to play bedrock too when I was young and last I checked you can get a lot of free add-ons.
You have to do specific things to progress, and not enough stuff is optional for that)
Regardless, point is.
@@fullmoonshadow6967 well I partially agree with you but what makes bedrock good is the compatibility with other devices like an Xbox or a pc and yes I agree some addons do suck but not all of them there are some creators who actually work hard on their addons the issue with bedrock is how hard it is to make addons and where to find them because there isn't an official website that the creators can post their addons and there are multiple bad websites that includes actual good addons that creators post on because they get paid for it or whatever the reason they have to post it in the specific website which makes it a problem for us bedrock users to find add-on if they aren't posted on UA-cam
However some addons are still great and highly recommended to use like better on bedrock like poggy and maybe you just downloaded the wrong map to teach archery to your friend
And what I hate about bedrock is the lag and bugs in it but in the last few years I haven't came across multiple bugs it's sometimes just blocks not placing when you place them
But what makes java great is the mods on it without the mods everybody will play bedrock
And what I like about bedrock is the survival mode on it bedrock has alot of cool features that isn't in java like different colour waters and the world generation which makes it interesting and fun to explore the weird world generation
But the main point of what I said is to find reasons on why bedrock sucks because some people hate it for minor reasons or for no reason at all I respect your opinion on why bedrock is bad but don't hate on it because of like one thing
