I didn't think anything could make me want to move to Hawaii even MORE than I already do, but this video captured such breathtaking views and hikes and moments that you've achieved that!
You know what this video is just awesome, AWESOME!!!!!!! I loved every single bit and you-guys are also amazing, It made hairs on my back stick up honestly! Some day i wish to be like this but yeah, never gonna happen :( :) it was really good though, i love it!
Thanks, glad you liked it The majority of the video was shot with my gopro mounted on a "Steadicam Smoothee". I have since learned a few tricks to keep it even more steady! It is very lightweight and easy to balance, but wind quickly becomes your worst enemy!
WOW! This video just showed up because I'd been watching some other travel/adventure videos & all I have to say is DAMN. Excuse my language but I'm just that impressed. I just recently returned from a 5 week trip across Europe where I started filming & editing my own videos so I know how hard it is to produce high quality content. I've been studying videos like yours to improve my own skills for future videos. I just wanted to say great work! You just earned yourself a new subscriber!
Boiling pots! That specific jump was a little ways down from Pe'epe'e Falls, right in front of one of the lookouts. If you check out 0:11 you have to climb down, walk to the right, and your there man. You should see it right away
Glad you liked it! I used a combination of the wide, medium, and narrow field of view. I tried to keep the majority of the shots in medium or narrow unless I found it necessary to go wide
Thank you! Many of the shots (including the running shots) were captured with my gopro mounted on a "Steadicam Smoothee". I have since learned a few tricks to make it even more smooth! It is a great piece of gear that i really enjoy shooting with
Very Nice video!! I'm such impressed by the quality of the Gopro and you did a really good job man. But how do you do to stabilize your video when you're running during the movie?
The edit was done in FCP 7, some shots were stabilized in FCP X, some shots were slowed down using twixtor in After Effects, and then the video was color graded in Davinci Resolve.
Thanks! I shot with protune off, which gave me more contrast to start with, but the graded shots are far from what came out of the camera. Much of the color was brought back in post.
did you film this in wide mode or narrow? it looks like it does not have the fisheye effect. please respond and i loved this video! watched it 5 times!
***** that the GoPro Hero 3+ which is the slight upgrade to the Hero 3. the 3+ is basically smaller, better battery life, better wifi, supposedly sharper & wider...at least thats whats advertised. can't wait for the Hero 4!!
I have a Gopro hero 3 black edition as well and was wondering what type of software did you use because my videos don't even look close to the quality of this one. If someone could help me answer this question that'd be great! thanks
