Czech lifeguards are back with another adventure! This year from Hawaii and in Full HD. Captured by GoPro HERO 3 Black Edition camera. September 2013.

TRIP INFORMATION:
Estimated trip cost: 2000 USD / person, including round-trip tickets from Philadelphia and flight between Oahu and Maui.
ITINERARY:
OAHU ISLAND:
Honolulu - Spitting Cave (cliff jumping) - Waikiki - Haiku stairs - Hanauma Bay - Sandy Beach Park - Makapu'u Point Lighthouse - Polynesian Cultural Center - Haleiwa - Skydiving on the North Shore - Kaena Point - Dole Plantation - Pearl Harbor
Night stays:
- Waikiki Beachside Hostel - 32 USD per night
- Kaiaka Bay Beach Park (North Shore) - permit is granted only for Fri - Tue for 52 USD (available in Honolulu, Department of Parks and Recreation). There is no camp open in Oahu for Wed and Thr - all are closed.
Meal recommendations:
- Spero Spera - epic Korean sandwiches! free wi-fi - Honolulu
- Bowle's Burritos - Mexican stuff - Windward coast
- Giovanni's Shrimp Truck - amazing shrimps!
Car: Kia Optima, 900 km / 560 mile trip
MAUI ISLAND:
Kahului - Haleakala Volcano - Hana (Road to Hana) - Ohe'o Gulch (Seven Sacred Pools) - Waimoku falls - Pipiwai Trail - Mamalu Bay - Lahaina - Banyan Tree Park - Maalaea Bay - Maluaka Beach - Makena Bay - La Perouse Bay - Black Rock - Mokuleia Bay
Night stays :
- Banana Bungalow Maui Hostel - 37 USD per night
- Kipahulu camp (at Haleakala National Park) - 10 USD for the NP permit for 3 days/nights, including camping in any NP camp.
- Papalaua Wayside Park - camp - 15 USD per night

- Thai Food By Pranee - Hana
- Horhitos Mobile Taqueria - Mexican seafood - Kihei
- Bad Ass Coffee Maui - Lahaina

I love this GoPro HERO3 The WiFi function makes it easy to control the camera and to view the photos and videos.
This camera functioned even better than I had expected. The videos were better than expected. The other functinality: burst stills, time lapse, several video resolutions, and the WiFi, of this camera make it extermely difficult to beat.

So how much did the professional videographer cost ?. This isn't an amateur production. It is way over the professional line. It is really good and fun to watch.

Jan Baros Hey guys! I'm 18 and want to travel like u but i don't know where to start. Like did you plan this for a long time or just woke up and said "hey lets go"? Great video!
jose angel We made a decision and plans within 10 days. I would say it depends what person you are - some just wake up and go others need to prepare carefully and to be in group. The most important is your first big trip. I believe that for young people is the best option to work somewhere (restaurant / hotel staff, lifeguard, ocean cruiser crew...), make money and trip around. The first trip is important because it will probably change your mind about how difficult it is - you'll find out that it's not that hard and maybe in time you will become the wake up & go person :) Good luck and be save on your travels.

We all were European college students and we had to earn some money back in Europe to be able to attend Summer Work & Travel program in the U.S. Then we worked for almost 4 months as lifeguards in Ocean City, MD and we earned enough money to afford a trip like this. If there is a will, there is a way too :)

The another thing is if you really focus on your adventure you can always work, earn some money and (meanwhile/sooner or later) live the way you wish. Sometimes it might be not that easy but in the end, trust me, it's worth it still. Remember - traveling is the only thing you buy that makes you rich.

Call yourselves lifeguards cliff jumping irresponsible my dad's a lifeguard and knows the dangers of tombstoning and cliff jumping
Nothing wrong with having fun and besides if their cliff jumping and something goes wrong they're trained to know what to do.

Thank you, Chris! We didn't use Protune. Just some post production - color correction, color curves, brightness & contrast, white balance...

That's exactly how it was. You need to get there before the guard does :)
