- Todays videos is the Shure mv7 review. The Shure Mv7 is basically the cheaper version of the Shure sm7b. The mv7 microphone is both a USB microphone and an XLR microphone. This video covers the Shure mv7 microphone review and comparison in both USB and XLR. We also do a Shure MV7 setup, as well as a Shure MV7 unboxing. This microphone could be the best streaming microphone as well as the best podcast microphone.

Shure MV7 - amzn.to/38GsoAq
The Shure MV7 microphone is the cheaper little brother to the Shure SM7B microphone that is super popular among podcasts and streamers. In this video I review the mv7 in USB and XLR modes of the microphone. I was quite surprised at the sound quality in both modes as well. This mic very well could be the Best usb mic for streaming, best podcast microphone, and the best usb microphone for vocals.

I really loved your movement back-and-forth it help to show the range I love that you tap the arm for feedback and that you demonstrated direction of the mic towards the mouth and even up close to it almost eating it great review. 👍
I really appreciate your movement because it helps to understand the range I love the fact that you tapped the arm for feedback and then you also gave the direction as to where it should be as far as our mouth so this was an excellent review
thanks MAN! just a note if you need more or less range on the mic you can adjust the gain as well
Awesome video man! Your really underrated. I like almost eating microphones lol 7:16
10/10 would eat a nother microphone
@@RyTechGaming Nice
😂
Man the XLR makes it sound good. Like, nigh indistinguishable from the SM7B. Definitely a mic for the long road.
Yeah add in the compression from twitch and youtube, you won't hear much if any difference between the mv7 and the sm7b. But your wallet will notice a big difference.
@@RyTechGaming I forgot about YT/Twitch compression. Is there any notable difference on something like Spotify or other sites?
Got mine the other day.....I love this mic it sounds so much nicer on my stream than the blue yeti
Oh yeah, I'm personally not a fan of the yeti
Good intro 🔥
Thanks man! Something i wanna do for all product videos moving forward
@@RyTechGaming definitely adds to the channel. 👍🏽👍🏽
The intro was really good I would say.
Thanks dog. Something ima do moving forward to all the gear videos. Make it more cinematic.
I know I was like oh ok 👍
My old Samson Q2U has USB and XLR
I'll have to check it out, thanks

Sometime you get hungry
Great vid. I've recently been given this microphone as a gift but my purpose for it would be to record acoustic guitar and singing. Will this device be ok for that or should I return the mic and get something else?
I would day heavily dependable on the use case. This mic is great and you'll have good sound from it. And you shouldn't have any issues doing what you want to do with it.
@@RyTechGaming Thanks for getting back to me so soon. Ok I'll stick with it, I don't have a soundproofed area for recording so it could be good in that case. Intro was pretty sleek. Liked and subbed.
I'm by no means an audio engineer but from what I've seen studios typically use high end condenser mics in a controlled sound proof area for vocals. But again you won't go wrong with this mic
I saw a video of this mic used for a non-electric guitar and it worked well with every setting on Max (Heavy compression, HPF, limiter, etc). Saw another video using it with drums and comparing it to the SM7B. It sounded tinny. Depends on the instrument.
I would also argue if you're recording instruments or vocals for music you should be using it in xlr and not using the software from shure that way you have better control
I’m the jet Rowley Jefferson. Buy me skins
honestly there no difference from the usb to xlr it seems from the reviews i've seen. Your just getting more control over the audio if u use a mixer with it. For a streamer useing it in usb form would be perfectly fine
For sure. But if your only end goal is to us it in usb id suggest cheaper mics personally.
@@RyTechGaming oh for sure like the elgato wave but some people just like the look of the shure mic and that worth it for them with the sound quality
Does this suport obs for streaming ?
Yeah its a microphone.
@@RyTechGaming 🤣
usb is more good
Heart me 💚
