If you paid attention, the grass also make way to the lonely Glaze Lily, meaning someone is taking care of the lonely flower frequently, it's a routine for that someone. My headcannon is : That someone who goes out of their way to sing and to take care the lonely Glaze Lily is none other than Zhongli. He goes there everyday, singing the beautiful tune to the flower and taking care of it so it can go full bloom. My man lives such a bittersweet life.

For 6,000 years or more. Morax has made a nation worthy of the title "The most prosperous nation of Teyvat". I really respect Zhongli/Morax for everything he did for his nation.
In my opinion and mine alone, Guizhong might have been the one who came up with the name "Zhongli". Seeing that both the "li" and "Guili" and the "li" in "Zhongli" are written the same way (like this "离") it is hard to believe that it's a mere coincidence. Now, "Morax" comes from Latin, but Guizhong, Guili and Liyue are clearly derived from Chinese and the land takes inspiration from Chinese culture. Also, if I am not mistaken, young Morax was described as a bit of a brute and wasn't honed for much apart from martial arts and ruling, so I doubt he himself decided to adopt a cultural name. Guizhong, however, is described as very caring and intelligent, despite lacking physical strength. Summing all that up, I believe she gave Morax a Chinese name to better fit the established culture and setting. Of course, I could be completely wrong, but after all this is, but mere speculation :) I really hope we get another part of Zhongli's backstory, this time diving into more of their relationship. She made such huge impact on Zhongli, it's hard to believe we know so little about her.

It’s been a while since I was running around Liyue and even longer since I explored it for the first time and out of the world quests in Liyue, learning about the Guili Assembly left a deep impression on me. I legit had to pause my game because the whole story and especially about Guizhong was just so melancholic.

The Guili Lore with Guizhong (Gui), Morax (Li), and the Adepti has been my favorite since I learned about it way back in the early versions of the game, but I could never piece every puzzle of the lore together as well as you have. Though one thing I thought was another part of the Guili Assembly was Azhdaha. I'd love to know your view on his role in Liyue, if he was also from this era. i know this is cliche but what if Guizhong puzzle box contains her confession for Rex Lapis that she purposefully made it so that is it impossible to unlock it because she doesn't want to show her true feelings haha

I don’t believe that Guizhong was only a “normal” close friend of Zhongli . At one point,he has for sure fell for her.While people may not agree with me , one thing is for sure : She left a big impact in his life. I wanna meet her so badly. I wanna see how could she turned a cold-hearted god into such a gentleman we see today .
She left an impact for sure.Zhongli became the Warrior God only because Guizhong was brutally murdered when he wasn't there to protect her.I think he might have been a little approachable before but after her death his only goal was to fulfill his bloodlust

Honestly the archons titles confuse me a lot. So was morax first known as morax and then got the title lord of geo. did he then get the name rex lapis? then became an archon a got the title lord of contracts (smth like that) and then ruled for a long time and now became zhongli?
