When I was in London with my family on vacation we went to a well rated Indian restaurant. My brother is really into spicy food but I am not really. He ordered himself a curry and asked for full spice. He can handle almost all spice and he ended up crying like crazy cause it was so hot. I tried a bit, like a tiny bit, and it made me cry so hard and I couldn't taste a thing after.
Oh how I’ve missed videos like this from you guys! I’m so happy that you finally had a chance to get away and take a break from the renovation. Hang in there!
oh Nashville. my home town. I've lived about 20 minutes away from Nash for my whole life of 19 years. I have so many recommendations for y'all! 1. the pharmacy in east Nashville. aka the best burgers in all of Nashville. 2. frothy monkey in the nations. there are many locations around Nashville. there's even one in Chattanooga! but I love the nations location. this is the best coffee in Nashville. 3. otaku ramen in the gulch. its actually super close to biscuit love. the best ramen in town. 4. yin yang tea in germantown. the best boba in Nashville. participation award goes to royal boba on white bridge pike. still really good boba, but yin yang is wayyy better. 5. satco tacos on 21st ave south. I would say these are the best tacos in town. 6. JENIS ice cream. there are many locations across Nashville. I love jenis ice creams. they're more artisanal flavors unlike a normal ice cream shop. 7. the baked bear on division street. I went here the other day and it was sooooo good. they're a little overpriced but still delicious. 8. sun diner in Downtown Nashville. also very overpriced but its simply just Nashville comfort food. 9. fido on 21 ave south. their coffee isn't the best but I really love their sandwiches. 9. the grilled cheeserie on belcourt ave. this place has every grilled cheese imaginable. they also have a food truck that wanders around the city and even out if the city sometimes. 10. frutta bowl in the nations. the best açaí bowls in town. there is another location right across from Vanderbilt. 11. mellow mushroom on 21 ave south. a cool pizza spot where drunk people and people who have smoked illegal substances come to devour whole pizzas. Not my favorite but would probably taste 100 times better if not sober. 12. J alexanders. DO NOT GO TO THE WEST END AVE LOCATION. the best location is in Franklin. its an upscale restaurant with pizza that will blow you away. 13. Stoney river on west end ave. if you want to drop a pretty penny on food, come here. its super good. 14. Barista parlor. there are multiple locations. this Coffee is soooo good. its pretty expensive but totally worth it. 15. burger up on woodland street. if you are craving a greasy burger, this is the place to be. 16. Right next to burger up is the soda parlor. I love this place so much but it is a little pricy. they have sodas and ice creams. 17. mas tacos por favor. I've personally never been but a lot of people rave about this place. Its right across the street from the pharmacy in east Nashville. 18. Bar taco on 12 ave south is super good. Also pretty expensive but I think its worth it. 19. Five daughters bakery. there are 2 locations I believe. I haven't been here before but again, a lot of people rave about it. 20. L&L market on Charlotte ave. This place has a whole bunch of cute shops and food places. Its brand new and everyones raving about it. Well, that's it for my virtual tour of the best stops in Nashville. when y'all come back, come try some of these places. you'll be blown away. P.S. the pecan goo goo clusters are just as good as the original. :)
We love you guys and it's so great to see your faces. The difference between where you are in America and here in Victoria, Australia is astounding. I can't remember the last time I ate out. Melbourne is in stage 4 restrictions, masks are mandatory, you can't leave your house unless it's for food, medical or essential work, and then it's only one person per household within a 5k area, except for work. I haven't seen my family in over 3 months. It is interesting to see how different countries are dealing with Covid. Stay safe and awesome🤟
The Ritter Sport Flagship store in Berlin allows you to create your own chocolate bar as well! You get a choice of chocolate type and choice of multiple mix-ins, then they assemble it for you.
Judith Lawtie Reminds me of my first trip to Nashville in 1995. On our first day in the Country Music capital we went into a bar just off Broadway and playing on the jukebox was.... The Beatles.
Oh my goodness!! I’m moving to Scotland for school next fall for 3 years. That is if the borders open up and things are better by then, but I’m so excited. Do you have any places you’d recommend?
Hopefully when the world gets better, you can come back for a meet up. Seems quite a few Nashvillians are subscribers. We have great food, cool attractions, and traffic for days! Makes for quite the adventure.
I’ve binge watched you all through the pandemic and now you’re in my city! I wish I could have bumped into ya’ll! Have fun and enjoy the break from the RV. Good to see ya’ll traveling again!
Hi guys. Love watching you. My wife and I have been subscribers for a while now, and we even started at the beginning and working through them all. Been to Nashville and Memphis - you’re right, Tennessee is great. Love the food. So far, my favorite barbecue is at the Rendezvous. By the way, eating a juicy, raw tomato is far better than drinking milk after eating hot, spicy food. The capsaicin in chilies is an alkaloid and tomatoes are acidic. Acids and bases combine to neutralize each other and make the pain go away. See you on the road.
also grew up around the corner from the original princes. it also depends on who you have cooking. since they do it by hand worong day makes medium much more like hot.
Ah, number 4!:) I was at the NAS Memphis, for my A School, back in 1987. I went there because the Navy trained us Marines at one of their Air Stations.... Semper Fidelis
I'm new to your channel having just starting watching when you purchased your project RV. Wanted to thank you guys for your frozen coffee ice cube idea from a few weeks ago. Tried it immediately and now I'm totally hooked. What a great idea! Thanks again!
love the video...i am actually planning on frying chicken tonight but not the hot variety...however..would love to see Nashville and try the hot chicken there!!!
I first made and tried American biscuits earlier on in quarantine and they were sooo good. I can just imagine that that chicken sausage gravy egg concoction is bomb.
You had me thinking of Hot Chicken since the last time you visited! Really didn't think you'd go this time around, but boy you proved us wrong! Congratulations, you are now Hot Lips! Well, guess we've got to wait to see Ole RV.
You guys have no idea how much I LOVE Nashville! I love all of the places you went and I screamed when you went to Goo Goo! Now I’m craving Nashville Hot Chicken. Eric, you really did look like you were gonna cry after eating it lol. Glad you guys could get away!
I love you guys. Always enjoy your videos. You inspired me to drag hubby on a restaurant hop and go eat some food we tried a long time ago and that we never tried before. Keep it up. Can't wait to see what the mistake was.
I'm a Nashville native, and I like to consider myself a connoisseur of hot chicken. Prince's is THE BEST hot chicken I've had. It is often imitated but never duplicated. It's the grandmomma of all the others and is definitely a must try in Nashville!
Hello! I stumbled across this video (and your channel) about a month ago right before I went to Nashville for the first time. My flight arrived at 5 PM and I left the next morning at 9 AM, but prioritized having breakfast at Biscuit Love thanks to this video. I got the biscuit that had Nashville hot chicken on it so that I could try that for the first time. We didn't go to Prince's or Hattie B's for dinner because I love barbecue and wanted to try Peg Leg Porker. :-) Anyway, I just wanted to say hello from a new subscriber and thanks for this video!
In loving this guys! Getting to see you traveling... showing us new stuff! Back to your sharing great food with us!!! AND THEN... BACK TO THE RV!!!!! 🙌🙌 I really love all your episodes and how this one combined it all! Can’t wait for more! Keep it up with the RV! Don’t let it win! You’ve got this!!! 😉😂
In a number of videos you both referenced how your teeth “hurt” after eating sweets. I’m 61, born in Kansas City and never, never ever have my teeth hurt after eating sweets. I’m the dad who would eat the leftover cake icing from the birthday cakes. 💪💪💪
What you call biscuits we call scones,in UK,what we call biscuits you call cookies. Those goo-goo clusters look nice. I wonder if I could get one via Amazon. I guessed peanuts would be involved. Nice to catch a glimpse of the Johnny Cash Museum. I love American Country &Western music, the more down home the better. Randy Travis, George Strait,Willie Nelson et al.
Eric, it was good to see you in that Buc-ee's T-shirt at the end. Allison, did you take up my advice and find a Minnie Pearl hat while you were in downtown Nashville? Lol! I'm a woos when it comes to spicy fried chicken. I take medication for high blood pressure, so I can't eat anything near as spicy as what you kids tried. The hottest chicken I've ever had was from the legendary Gus's Fried Chicken in Memphis, about 10 or 11 years ago. Whew! And that was the mild version. Now, you kids hang in there with your RV. Stay the course and learn from your mistakes (even if you think buying the RV at the outset was your first mistake, lol!).
Potato chips and chocolate! Yes that would have been an awesome combo. Next time right? Lol. NASHVILLE HOT chicken? Amazing. Not my cup of tea, but my husband would love it. Food trucks have become way more popular since the pandemic broke out. Love it! Thanks for sharing!
They used to make Goo Goo Cluster ice cream when I was younger, and it was, by far, my favorite ice cream ever. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen it since I was in high school. Anyways, I have loved watching you guys since quarantine started. I’ve gone back and watched a ton of them, and have enjoyed watching you guys work on your motor home (from the comfort of the couch.)
The Endless Adventure Be sure to use chocolate ice cream! The original was chocolate with ribbons of caramel and marshmallow with chocolate covered peanuts. So. Good.
It always cracks me up to watch people try hot chicken for the first time. I personally have a rule for handling it: I only touch it directly with my non-dominant hand, so I’ll grab it with my left hand and if that’s not enough I’ll use a fork with my right hand. Because it takes a bunch of hand washing to get enough cat Anne off my fingers for rubbing my eyes, etc. to be a safe proposition. I find that the cut of chicken makes a difference in how I perceive the heat level, too. Since it’s mostly on the surface, a big, meaty piece like a breast dilutes the effect of the spice a little. As for KFC’s Nashville Hot, I like it but I think it’s a different animal. To me, the flavor profile is pretty different from true hot chicken, and the way they do it is just to have it be a rather oily sauce, where one of the big distinctive dog hot chicken is the use of a thick paste that may get greasy but is never drippy. But I’m kind of a purist. There’s a very popular second wave “hot chicken” place in East Nashville called Pepperfire that I don’t really count as making the real thing. Their spicy chicken is quite delicious, but it’s not really the true hot chicken flavor or texture. Oh, and by second wave I mean the first places that started popping up after Mayor Purcell insisted white Nashville pay attention to what Prince’s and Bolton’s had been doing for years, Hattie B’s being the other big dog of the second wave. The only other thing I’m as picky about are biscuits. I’ve actually never tried Biscuit Love, partly because the Gulch is the closest location and I never have patience to deal with parking there, but partly because I’ve never heard a Southern native say the biscuits are good. Transplants to a Nashville from places like Chicago or LA love them, but I don’t trust them to know a biscuit from a scone, kwim? I mean, these people also line up for hours at the Loveless and think the things they pass of as biscuits there are anything more than a mediocre delivery system for their (admittedly great) preserves. Pro tip: the Loveless does meat really well, fwiw, and their catfish is fantastic! Go there for supper and you’ll have better food with little wait, as opposed to camping out for four hours just to get a table during the breakfast rush.
My first and last time in Nashville was in March, the night that the tornado hit, and about a week before all the lock-downs. Was there on a work trip, crazy to think how much life has changed since. Still hopeful 2020 has something good left to give.
Aww man! This video gave me so many flashbacks to my trip to Nashville which was almost 2 years ago! (September 2018) I'd love to go back! 100% agreed that the hot chicken was incredible!
Welcome back to Nashville guys! I have lived here 4 yrs and you have just opened me up to some new places here! I love it! I am hoping you can do Hattie B's next time as that chicken is delicious too! Not as good as a cheeky Nandos, but you know what I am talking about there lol 😂
@@Paige11148 Oh yess! If you ever get a chance to try Nandos especially in the UK I highly recommend it as there will be no looking back afterwards! Lol 😁 Check out these guys' video in tge UK on it as well as another vlogger called the Travel Beans on the same thing 😁
@@Paige11148 That is Amazing! I lived in England for 8 years and it was so awesome! Lots of ups, downs and culture shock ao brace yourself for a major change! It is amazing though! Are you moving from the states for school?
LadyM 2020 oh wow! That’s incredible! I know I’m kinda nervous but super excited. I’m 19 and have never lived on my own so I’ll be living in a new country the first time being on my own haha. And yes I am! It’s a lot cheaper tuition going directly through a school there than going through a study abroad program
This looks like a amazing farm to table spot can’t wait to check it out some time. We’re fixing up the rv wanting to do a cross country trip in the next year. Going to check out Puerto Vallarta next month to see how it’s doing during COVID
😭😭 can’t wait to get back to Nashville! We had really bad luck at Biscuit Love 😝 but loved Hattie B’s hot chicken! We will have to try Prince’s next time 🐔
I'm one of your newer subscribers. I just love you both. Loved this episode and got a major sweet tooth now. This Californian needs to make it out to Nashville for some of those tasty treats!! Not sure about that hot chicken though. 😬
Try Gus's Fried Chicken in Memphis...spicy- but wont kill you. I am not a spicy girl but Gus's is great especially dipped in Ranch dressing. I have also heard The Peg Leg Porker (back to Nashville) is a really good BBQ place in N-Ville especially the Alabama white style BBQ. Love you guys!
I still dream about those bonuts. Prince's is hands down the best Nashville hot chicken. I managed to go to the original location a couple years ago before it burned down. I got the "hot" too and it is not a joke. I personally was underwhelmed by Hattie B's.
Think of coming to Michigan in a trip. Beautiful nature, amazing food and unmatched automotive industrialization history. Water from inlet lakes that compair to the blues found in the Caribbean. Step back in time and visit the historical Mackinac island, see picture perfect rocks in northern Michigan where only a kayak can give you the best picture. Detroit is busting at the seams with amazing small mom and pop restaurants from commercially abandoned neighborhoods. Thanks for such posative vibes in your videos. It always makes my day.
You guys are champs eating that hot chicken! I would have liked it if you had checked out that Johnny Cash place that was across the street from one of the restaurants though. I love JC.
Y'all were in my city just days ago - so crazy!! The hubs & I would totally do a meet up here if it ever happens. Definitely check out Epice or Once Upon a Time in France next time you are in town - best restaurants in town at the moment!
We went to Nashville for Kara and Nates get together. Went to the Old Whiskey Bar for the best Yee Hazy beer, Hattie's B's is worth every minute of the wait for amazing chicken
If you two ever have an inkling to go to Silver Dollar City (Branson, MO).. My treat. I'll fly/drive up from Houston. I think you'd love the fun, the food, the festivities. It's their 60th anniversary this year and they are open. Christmas is amazing there!! But earlier in the year for roller coasters.
We’re so glad to be back in our old city, trying some delicious dishes! What’s the hottest thing you’ve ever eaten??
awesome video. hmm dang its been a while since I had something particularly spicy. probably hot wings from a local St. louis place. If you come to st. louis hit me up for tips or to show you around (their are constantly things changing here etc)
In a Pakistani curry house in Bradford, UK, I ordered what was listed as “Chicken Ceylon”. The waiter leant over and said “Are you suuuure?” I’d got a few pints in me and dismissed his concern indignantly, as did my friend. The food arrived and sure enough it was blisteringly hot, but also intensely delicious so I got stuck into it. My friend gave up after a couple of mouthfuls so I had his too. Full of beery pride I went home and hit the sack for the sleep of a champion. In the morning I got up and was surprised to not have that churning gut feeling often associated with reckless curry consumption so I started to make breakfast. Then it happened. Urgency so intense that I ran to the toilet in fear. What happened next is not for the comments section of a respectable UA-cam channel, but if you can imagine dry retching at the wrong end then you’re halfway there. Worst. Day. Ever.

My OH is from a family of Nigerian origin. So when he cooks it is always right at the edge of my limits.
Anything hot made with red chili pepper just chokes me to bad to eat it very hot at all.

NASHVILLE HOT chicken? Amazing. Not my cup of tea, but my husband would love it. Food trucks have become way more popular since the pandemic broke out. Love it! Thanks for sharing!
Wow looks so good! Glad you guys got a little break!
I really liked your trip in TENN. and the great candy you made, good video, thanks for sharing ,
They used to make Goo Goo Cluster ice cream when I was younger, and it was, by far, my favorite ice cream ever. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen it since I was in high school. Anyways, I have loved watching you guys since quarantine started. I’ve gone back and watched a ton of them, and have enjoyed watching you guys work on your motor home (from the comfort of the couch.)
That sounds delicious!! We'll have to add the extra ones we bought to some ice cream asap 🍦So glad you're enjoying the adventure!
The Endless Adventure Be sure to use chocolate ice cream! The original was chocolate with ribbons of caramel and marshmallow with chocolate covered peanuts. So. Good.
Yummy...the scones look so nice.
Omg all the food looks so good.
Not havinga kitchen sucks during pandemic. Milk and veggies is my best meal these pandemic days.
The bonut is the bomb. The mascarpone pairs really well the princess.
I Remember eating Goo Goo clusters in my youth, it brings back good memories!
The content is crazy good. Love Nashville. The food tour even makes it exciting
Agree on all accounts. So good.
I wonder which made y’all more sweaty: Hot chicken or the RV reno! 😂😭😂 you guys are so awesome!
everything looked delicious, going to Nashville JUST TO EAT!!
Yeah, thinking I may need to travel north on my way back to FL
You will not be disappointed with their food selections!
I know right? What a job 😂
To be honest, both of you always brighten up my mood, keep the videos rolling in !!!! 😇😇😇
(September 2018)
I'd love to go back!
I’ve never had nandos but I’ve heard it’s incredible!
@@ladymc2021 awesome thanks! I am moving to scotland next september for 3 years so I definitely will try it
@@Paige11148 That is Amazing!
It’s a lot cheaper tuition going directly through a school there than going through a study abroad program
nice to see you out exploring again. Love the Bucees tshirt
GooGoo Clusters and RC Cola at the Ryman with my parents as a kid. Vintage Grand Ole Opry. 💙💙💙
We will have to try Prince’s next time 🐔
Not gonna lie, kinda missing the RV 😆
I've said it before and I'll say it again... you guys consistently kill it with these food reviews.
Food in Tennessee is Heaven
I'm one of your newer subscribers. I just love you both. Loved this episode and got a major sweet tooth now. This Californian needs to make it out to Nashville for some of those tasty treats!! Not sure about that hot chicken though. 😬
Totally try Party Fowl next time. We loved it.
The food is great and all but where did Allison get that blue dress? I'm in love!
She always has the cutest dresses!
She looked AWESOME in their last video too. She's always adorable, even when working on their RV project.
And a little farm place that looks cool and the tiny house
Try Gus's Fried Chicken in Memphis...spicy- but wont kill you. I am not a spicy girl but Gus's is great especially dipped in Ranch dressing. I have also heard The Peg Leg Porker (back to Nashville) is a really good BBQ place in N-Ville especially the Alabama white style BBQ. Love you guys!
I love Nashville too! That chicken looked amazing!
The Biscuit Love in Franklin is amazing!!! We definitely hurt ourselves on the Bonuts! My husband got the East Nasty and said it’s anything but nasty!
Glad you had a great vacation!
This is a wonderful vlog!
Never mind 'setting you up for the day', that breakfast would finish me off for the day. I feel full just looking at it
Bonuts, GooGooClusters and Hot Wings 🔥 Yum, Yum and Yum. I can't wait until your next epitoad 🤔🤣🤣🤣
we will always forgive mistakes guys its part of the fun :) loved the vid keep em coming! get that RV looking gooooooooooooooooooooooood! :)
I still dream about those bonuts. Prince's is hands down the best Nashville hot chicken. I managed to go to the original location a couple years ago before it burned down. I got the "hot" too and it is not a joke. I personally was underwhelmed by Hattie B's.
GooGoo Clusters are the bomb. Also... the Moon Pie is made here in Chattanooga
Can’t wait to see another RV video
That guy pumps that thing on weekends, Guaranteed.
Can’t wait for the next epitoad
We went to Nashville for Kara and Nates get together. Went to the Old Whiskey Bar for the best Yee Hazy beer, Hattie's B's is worth every minute of the wait for amazing chicken
Nashville native here. Biscuit Love is my favorite ❤️❤️❤️
LOL Love you guys!
Katz's Deli NYC (When Harry Met Sally) has to take some beating, no human I know could eat one at one sitting.
