This is awesome I've been looking for a dentist over there for a min. Your video put me at so much ease lol
You just earned a new subscriber !! I loved the video simple ,full of information and entertaining
I just saw your recommendation on Facebook and came straight to UA-cam to watch your video!.
Good info!! Thank you!!!
You’re welcome!
I’ve been thinking about getting work done in Mexico.. thank you so much for this
This was so helpful as I'm considering going for dental work. What train / train line did you take from San Diego? It looked so simple!
Thank you! Great video, thanks for sharing all your dentist information. What information can you share on getting braces in Mexico. (If that is even a thing lol)
Thank you for sharing this. I am looking forward to having my work done soon!
feel free to contact us in google for our dental services in Mexico City: dentista general Coronas e implantes Altata Condesa
Thanks Courtney. Loved it. I subscribed.
This is just what I was looking for. Thanks for all the well-thought-out details you included, especially that the dentist's courtesy driver's car is not a real tooth. Ha! No, but even the footage of walking at the border and seeing the process was helpful. I can't believe they did all that work in that amount of time at that rate. QUESTION: Have you looked into whether going a bit deeper into Mexico can get even cheaper? Do you have any recommendations on cities that would be best when flying into Mexico, I live in Wisconsin.
Thank for tour video! Im plannong on driving down soon - i live in san diego - and parking in san ysidro and walking over like you did.
Ive narrowed it down to New age dental or baja dental, looks like theyre both 5 star rated online. :)
I found a dentist so far so good; Alvarez Dental. How did it go at either of the two 5 star u suggested? And where u find the rating, Google reviews?
Courtney thank you for the video. So many videos are all salezie type videos. You are the patient and walked us through the whole process and shared your dentist's name. My question. I have an expired passport will an Enhanced Driver's License work and I do have my son's birth certificate (16 yrs), Thank you again making an appointment with them. PS your teeth look great, and your daughter is a trooper.
Thank you for this helpful video as I'm looking into getting dental work in Mexico. Your teeth look amazing. Did you get them done in Mexico as well? The border looks very entertaining, food, shopping and a show. Love it!
I did!! Same dentist. The two from teeth are Veneers because I used to have a gap.
Can you share the dentist I for please. 😊
Thx so much for sharing your adventure! Hope to head down there for InvisaLine or braces. Also wondering if I can use my HSA card? Greetings from Temecula :-)
Thanks for the info
Thank you so much Courtney for sharing..🙏🏾
You are so welcome
Thanks for the video , do you know if they do implants??
I’ve been actually thinking about getting my dental work done in Mexico which doctor do you visit and do you think that you had a good experience?
I need to see them, have a broken toot, how I can reach them for appointment, please
Thank you for sharing this video
Thank you so much for posting this video. I am looking for a dentist in Mexico. I live in Canada and if you think dental work in usa is expensive you should check out prices in alberta canada. 7,000.00 cdn dollars for extractions and full one denture either lower or upper. I have no insurance either. Driving to Arizona and then on to the border. Could you tell me the name of the dentist you used at this clinic?Thank you. I am looking forward to getting new dentures. Until I hear from you; Thank you again Courtney.
Please answer how much is the root canal in TJ and congrats.
what would the time process be with a dental tooth implant ,how many days would I have to stay on my visit to Mexico coming from the US.
Thank you!
Wow nice video Iam looking as well getting my mouth done can you tell me is they’re Handicap assessable over there thanks
Actually yes. Everywhere has ramps.
Thanks soooo MUCH for sharing, since you are a black sister I will consider going to mexico to get implants
Thank you.
That is really awesome ... Can you give us more detail on your dentist and how to go from there? Appreciate it.
Hi how much for a crown?
Thank you
Its nice that you took your Daughter with you!!
Excellent video thank you so much. You literally nailed it. Also my father's name was Courtney 😀
That’s so cool! Happy you enjoyed the video
Would u recommend for extensive work. I need lots done
I’m very excited for you I also would like the opportunity to get my teeth done what all do they do and also what’s the best time to go I’m so ready for this to happen for me thanks for your help 😊
It was just like going to a dentist in the states honesty (minus crossing the border). They do all treatments. They so do a full assessment. If you need a lot of work you may have to make multiple trips that’s the only downside. I love in AZ tho so for me it’s an easy car ride.
How long did you have to wait for an appointment ?
Yep, this is it. I just got told today I need an implant, 10k. I need to pay 6. I said okay at first but I can’t wait for the morning because I’m calling and cancelling that. I’m getting my tooth extracted though cuz it’s only $100 with my insurance+ I paid for a flipper already. So glad I found your video though, cuz I will need an implant. Such an awesome tip about the bus, I was stressing about transportation over there. Thank u!!!
Did you ever get a implant in Mexico?
What made you decide on Tijuana instead of Los Algodones?
Can anyone guide me in the right direction for tooth bonding/ composites please
Hi do you have an email? would like to ask some questions like the contact for your dentist in TJ. great video, you just convinced me to get work done there
So there's several locations in Mexico that perform dental care. Were you in Tijuana? Los Algodones?
Great video, did you send pics of your needed work to dentist before you went in order to know the cost?
You can send us pica about your dental status, feel free to contact us in google for our dental services in Mexico City: dentista general Coronas e implantes Altata Condesa
Do you guys know how much they charge for a root canal?
I wish I could just cross the border to Mexico. :/ I live on the East Coast.
You can! I'm on the East coast, and I'm planning to go!
Take a flight to cali lol
How long do you have to stay can you do a walk in
what's your dentist info? and how much were your veneers?
thanks
Interesting. I live in San Diego, but am planning to go to Los Algodones for My Dental. Thanx for Sharing
You’re very welcome
@@ItsMeCourtney do you think it's safe to get implants in TJ?
Oh no! Tj doctors are great, no need to go all the way over there.
3 crowns for 300 bucks holy heck. Yeah, I was quoted about 2,000 at two Utah Dentists for 3 teeth to have root canals, not including crowns
Well you’ll be paying double the amount when you run back to those dentists to fix the infections in your mouth that could have been prevented in the first place
@@AMM-vo2in cry more american dentist.
@@AMM-vo2in lol, in mexico we have an exellent medical care, don't be racist about it.
I also live in Utah and I had ONE root canal and crown done here and it costed me $1850. I went to visit family in Honduras and took advantage to fix my mouth there as I hadn’t for a long while due to costs here. I got 2 root canals, 2 crowns, 12 cavities, and a cleaning all for $600. It’s been 8 months and I’ve been super pleased with the results.
Im actually headed to Mexico this week to get an implant and veneers. Your video has given me alot more confidence and peace of mind. Thanks for posting this my sista
Let me know how it goes. I need to get my teeth worked on but really want to make sure it's safe.
Hi, did you get your implants? How did it go for you?
@@SuperMobly It went well. Paid just around $800 for everything, xrays, temporary flipper and all. My bone has fully accepted the implant and in February I got back to get my permanent crown. Should only cost another $350 or so. Im so excited. Im happy I finally found the courage to go to another country to have major dental work done, thanks to your video.
@@BlackAnonymou So happy for you. Do you mind to share where exactly you went to ? I'm ready to get implants too. It's been years since the last time I laughed confidently.
@@SuperMobly I had my implant done at Lopez dental in Los Algodones MD. Try and avoid any dentist located right on the border. Their prices are usually a little higher than some of the other 400+ dental establishments you'll find when you go further into the town.
Can we walk through the land border now?
I want to go sooner than later. My teeth need it asap. I will try to go within the next few weeks.thank you for this video!
Yup you sure can
@@ItsMeCourtney thank you so much for quick response.
I think I want to do this. I want to fly into San Diego and walk across the border, but I'm Canadian. Do you know if there are restrictions?
I don’t think you can fly from Canada to the US right now, I believe the Canadian borders are closed for air travel
Thanks for documenting your experience. Love dental tourism videos from black women.
Just wanted to know what would be the cost of full upper and bottom implants. My teeth are bad and growing up in a shelter my parents really didn’t think about taking us to the dentist. Then I started smoking at 15 and now my teeth are bad which hurts my pride and ego and causes depression. I really want to fix my teeth so that I can at least smile in a photo with my son on his wedding day before I pass on.
THX
What was the name of the dentist ? Do they give a discount if you get multiple procedures
Very helpful! The cheapest quote I've found for the work I need is around $12k! Seems like I need to book a trip to Mexico soon!
It’s worth it! I’m going back in June!
Greetings! I need 4 implants, a crown, and fill. Do you know the cost of these?
@Justme83 My dentist in mexico charges $900 each implant, and each implant 4 months later requires an "abutment" to screw into implant ($425) and then crown glued onto abutment is $425, so each implant with a crown is $1759. Now for just a crown where tooth existing compromised tooth is shaved down costs $450. I think fillings are about $50 to $80 each. Any reputable dentist in Mexico will have a price list on their website.
@@stevehay463 This a little cheaper than it is here in NYC but I don't need to take off work or pay for airfare and hotels each time to get work done. If I lived near the border, MX makes sense but not from all the way up here.
@@stevehay463 so how
Many trips do you have to take in total?
Do you have to COVID test?
Do you have the information for the dentist you went to I'm looking to have my whole mouth done how much did it cost you please leave any info anyway
Hi Courtney!
Thanks so Much for sharing your adventure with us! Nice to know I could go for a grand vacation and get dental work done! I am on the east coast and even going to a dentist, endo or periodontist or dental surgeon and paying their fees, their work can still be questionable or worse. And don't even go to a student dentist at a local dental college they will pull a tooth in heart beat when it just needs a filling so they can get their credit/quota for graduation. And their professional oversite is just as bad.. No Joke it not just buyer beware... I paid close to 2K for a gold crown and his buddy intern endo. who did the root canal left part of it unfinished hence 3 years latter it still hurts! Another root canal was done and they left a broken drill in the root canal and just patched over it!! Why even bother with warranty at the prices you all can pay! It would be more important to find a great Dentist with an equivalent talented support team. They need to be accountable, transparent and know what they are doing. So even paying the high prices with or with out ins. you are still at risk where they do harm! Talk about fear and paranoia of folks the that work dental field!!
Thanks again and Way grateful for your info hear!
Nice video so you didn’t have to negative covid test crossing back over to USA
That waiting line is kinda weird, at least when crossing via car, citizens can cross pretty much instantly through the Sentri lanes.
Only if you have sentri though
this video is exactlyt what I needed! I wanted to see how things were when actually going through the border walking. Could you provide the address of the parking lot?
Here you go www.borderparking.com/
I would love your dentist information please. Great video!
Updated the link bit.ly/DrMexico sorry about that
@@ItsMeCourtney Hi, I need to do dental bridge can you please recommend me the best place in mexico?
Hi Courtney, thank you so much for your video. Did you take an Uber there or you got a rental car ?
Nope my dentist picked me up from the boarder. It’s included in the service.
Omg whaaat? That’s so nice .
I’ve crossed the boarder with just my ID And Birth Certificate going to Rocky Point . Can I use this documents going into Tijuana?
Yes. Passport required for flights
Very informative. I actually need a root canal on a pre-Molar. I basically need a small root canal because it’s not a very big tooth. I saved about $1700, now, overall would I spend all of that or half? I might be able to get two root canals at that budget ! I live in San Diego, let me know where you parked when you ended up going there. Hopefully coming back into the United States is not long. I have a USA passport.
You can get both tooth canals for less than 1700 and should still have some left over
I’m thinking about going to Tijuana for some dental care, do I need a the Mexican tourism card?
Also another serous question: how did you root canel take? Is your root canel still good ??
You need a birth certificate, passport or passport card. Root canal is great. I’ve done several procedures here over the course of 10 years. Never an issue
@@ItsMeCourtney thank you I’m considering going still just been hard to make that decision but thank you so much !
How much work can they do. In a few hours ?
So cool that you made a captivating report of Dentistry in Mexico! We look forward to receiving you at Los Algodones! Los Algodones is also known as Molar City, the Dental Capital of the World. We have been guiding, for free, patients from the US and Canada for over 13 years. We provide with free scheduling on the top dental clinics, lodging assistance and transportation too! Feel free to contact us to collaborate! 😎🥳
I'm going to Mexico to fix my teeth. I had a beautiful teeth but now I am embarrassed to smile.. thanks for this video
I have a question. When you walk across the border like that do you still need a passport? In another video I watched someone said their passport didnt come in time so they flew to San Diego and walked across the border. I am trying to find out more info regarding this, just in case❤
To walk across you just need a birth certificate. You only need a passport if your flying. I’ve walked over before without my passport
I have one important question, is there dental work you'll have an American dentist perform instead of a foreign dentist. If I received Porcelain crowns and a tooth chipped or needed minor adjustments, will you travel back to Mexico for follow up appointments and does the foreign dentist have warranties on their work.
Well the reason I went to Mexico to began with is because a dentist in the US messed up a root canal and refused to fix it without charging me 1k. My dentist in Mexico fixed the US dentists crappy work at 1/4 the cost. I’ve had 3 awful American dentists, so far my dentists in Mexico has been awesome.
Plus, there are several dentists offices in Mexico (including mine) that have dentists that are actually licensed in the US as well as Mexico and practice in both Mexico and the US. My dentist tells people. You can see me on Monday and Wednesday in the US for triple the price or come to Mexico.
If I needed to fix a chipped tooth (which I’ve actually had to do), yes, I would go to Mexico instead if the US because it’s more affordable. To fix my chipped tooth it was $85.
Unless it was something where I was just in awful pain and couldn’t wait then yes, I will always go to Mexico.
@@ItsMeCourtney
1 thousand bucks for fixing a root canal?! I have done that same procedure for like 1/5 of the price in Tijuana...
How much did it cost and how is your mounts now
I need to get full arch implants and I don’t know who to go to in Mexico. I also want sedation. I don’t want to be awake! Do you have any suggestions? Thank you!!
Hmmm I’ve never done sedation in Mexico. Probably not a huge deal I’ve just never had work that required it. This is where I went tho www.tijuanadentistcenter.com/
@@ItsMeCourtney Thank you!
Good luck, I live in Mexico and go to Turkey for better quality and lower cost, more than covers the plane fare, the clinic pays for the Hotel.
I want all my teeth out. I want full mouth top and bottom with dental implants. About how much would that be?
What’s the name of the dentist you went to?
Wish I had someone to go with. To get dental work done. I’m terrified to go by myself.
They can meet you in San Diego and take you across if you’re worried. Mexico is just as safe as the US as a matter of fact our crime rate is higher
@@ItsMeCourtney oh who?
Which dentist do you use? I will need that pickup at the border service.
I went do Dr. Mexico they pick you up from the border or San Diego airport for free
How much are implants over there
Excellent info , I have to do so much work on my teeth but you know how rip off prices are in USA , crazy , anyway you had a root canal , post I guess build up core and crown , how much ?? , Thanks great info video , I don't understand the price you did show is that pesos or dollars ,

What is the name of the dentist office
Can I use id and birth certificate to go in and out of tijuana?
Yes actually you can. They say you need a passport but if you don’t have one they will still let you come and go. I saw several homeless people doing it.
Yes! ID and birth certificate
Thank goodness you asked this question I get my teeth done May 21 and miss placed don’t have my passport and not enough time to get in for another one it’s good to know that I can use versus typic it and ID I am driving across the border from San Diego well my ID and birth certificate still be OK for that by ID I mean my drivers license

Do you pay cash to your dentist, or do you pay with credit card?
Cash or credit card. They don’t accept insurance but they will accept care credit if you have the card. They will also all you to make payments
What kind of identification is required for crossing the border? Passport??
Yes you'll need a passport and ID
Was the price on pesos or USD? Almost 10k
This was in Pesos
Nice be we lee lot lay 3 German set scene rest.
Hi Courtney this is Thomas can you give me some information on the dentist
Hey Thomas! Sorry just seeing this. This is who I have been going to for years. www.tijuanadentistcenter.com/
How did you go about choosing your dentist?
I read a bunch of reviews and spoke to 3 different dentists before booking an appointment. Honestly every dental office I called was great and professional I went with this one only g because they were all female owned and I liked that.
How much would an implant and a crown cost?
Where I went to, crown $350 each and implant $1200 each.
Do the dentist accept credit cards for payments?
Yes they do
For a root canal 9thousand ridiculous high
That’s pesos 🤦🏾♀️ it was $400 USD
Wow you couldnt just say how much it cost? I couldnt even tell what the total was on the receipt, it looked like 460×20 = ? Whats that like 10 thou?
Sorry about that. The price you see is in pesos the total in US dollars was about $400
So how much did your dental work cost?
Right I couldn't see
