      You are the target audience! I try really hard to be able to help people that are either thinking about getting a tiny camper or figuring out how to take care of one.
      Most of these projects are simple and fun! Thank you for watching the videos and commenting.

    This worked great on my 2017 Forest River 2304KS - I got the 1" size and had zero problems doing the install. Thanks for sharing the links, I had no idea how to find the part!

    I’ve done this job on a larger trailer and found that a inexpensive car panel tool set had a good none marring tool that worked well for guiding the plastic strip into place. This tool set , something Harbour Freight might carry, is inexpensive, re-unable , and comes in handy for all sorts of light prying or fitting tasks on car panels, RV fittings etc.

      Excellent tip, I actually have one of those in my truck and didn't use it. That would be a great tool for helping with the tough spots, this one went in like a breeze.

    Thank you for all the information and tutorials that you post for us less knowledgeable individuals. Lol. I love your setup on your 10 SS. And I am curious as to what tongue box you have on your trailer? I like how there is an open box behind the main box. Again thank you for all your help and amazing info.

      I will post a link to the box, I really like the set up. I slid the box up and built the open bin out of wood. The bottom is the tray that came with the BW... easy peezy

    Thank you. This is a perfect timing for me because I was about to replace it on my small toy hauler. I couldn't figure out what size I was supposed to use because we bought used 17 or 18 ft RV Vision Packer toy hauler. Since the trailer is over 14 years old it needs some maintenance on exterior. Roof looks good but the trim is old and needs replacement. Do you by any chance know where can I order window trim? My older windows have very old "white" one that looks awful. It doesn't leak but due to age looks gross so I want to replace with black one. Again, thank you so much for the videos, you always explain things well and fashion that is easier to understand. I am glad that Drew pointed us to your channel.

    • @DIYOutdoorLife
      @DIYOutdoorLife  2 місяці тому +1

      Thank you, I appreciate you watching the channel. Unfortunately, there's a bunch of different types of window trim. Your best bet is to search on Google until you can find the RV window trim that matches yours.
      Hoping to team up with playing with sticks again soon, I'm glad you swung over!

    Hey Brian, do you recommend putting sealant on each of the screws holding that track down? Mine are screwed in kinda wonky, and maybe could be infiltration points. Just gotta say, I am a bit jealous of the number of screws that holds yours on. Lol, maybe they are only allowed a fixed number of screws, and they have to space them out on the bigger BWs.

    • @DIYOutdoorLife
      @DIYOutdoorLife  2 місяці тому +2

      I hope they up their budget to cover enough screws... lol It's important that its screwed down very well, in every hole in the track.
      Sealing the screw can only help, just make sure that you don't dam up the flow of water escaping if it gets in there. If you're neat, it won't obstruct you putting the rubber in at all.
      Thank you!

    • @J4Julz
      @J4Julz 2 місяці тому +1

      @@DIYOutdoorLifethank you! I thought maybe the track was a kind of gutter, lol, and was concerned. about damming up any water on this Chonky Beast. I'll do my best to keep it neat. 😊

    I appreciate you always responding to my messages, you recommended the Honda 2200 generator for my Bushwacker mainly I want to use it for my air conditioner in the back country here in northern California when it gets really hot for my dog after a long hike, you can’t get the Honda and you can hardly get anything, harbor freight has a 2000 portable generator do you know if that will work on my trailer I have called everyone and no one can give me an answer it’s small enough light enough compact if it works I’ll go buy it today as per your instruction otherwise I have to drive over 200 miles to Nevada to purchase one, thank you so much. Jon😊👍

    • @DIYOutdoorLife
      @DIYOutdoorLife  2 місяці тому

      I do my best! It looks like I'm gonna catch this one within 10 minutes... lol
      Yes, the 2000 predator will work fine . You'll have to realize that you're working at capacity, so you might not get as long a run out of a gas tank, but it's going to get the job done. It's also nice because it's light and quiet.
      In all of my testing, 99% of the time there was no issue , just make sure not to run other AC appliances while the air conditioner is running, your small DC stuff is fine.
      Every once in a while, I could get it to trip when turning on my air conditioner. When that was happening, turn your battery disconnect switch off and try again. The only situation that overloaded it was the AC starting up when the battery was charging full speed, it was a simple fix.
      Get yourself that 2000 and keep me in the loop, let me know how you make out.

    great vids! I have an 18 foot "teardrop" free solo fam by braxton creek. Am I really a teardrop like you guys or is there another name for a trailer like mine? I am working on an upgrade to an 8000 btu window unit from the original 5000 btu. I am going to have the box rebuilt to have the bigger a/c fit in. If you would like I could keep you posted?
