I love the format of this seasonal series. :) I really want to read City of Brass, Scythe, and Nevermoor! Some of my winter favorites were Renegades, Quintana of Charyn, and the Shades of Magic trilogy.
You're the only booktuber I watch and for the most part all of the books I read are recommendations by you (and my sister lol). You have such great taste in books! The lightbringer series is one of my favorite series ever and I got my fiancé hooked on it too. Keep up the great work! 👍❤️
The Cruel Prince was such a fun read. I loved the story while simultaneously wanting to scream at least 236748 characters at any given time (but in the best way possible, if you know what I mean)
It’s really minor. There’s some in the middle, but it’s hardly there. And there’s a weird thing going on near the end, but I don’t think it really counts? Overall, the plot is focused on the actual story and not some love interest.
I always wonder if you're so incredibly lucky you always pick up books you like, or if your rating system starts at 3stars 😅 can't remember having heard you rating a book lower than 3,5 - much less anything below 3.
Glad you enjoyed Neverwhere! One of my favorite reads of last year. The City of Brass is high on my list to read. I'm also currently reading Scythe. Such an interesting novel.
I have like four more chapters to read in The Cruel Prince I am SO EXCITED IT'S SO GOOD and there are so many plot twist my goodness! also Neverwhere reminds me of the app/game Fallen London, it's super cool! Perhaps I'll pick up the book! I also just picked up Scythe and I can NOT wait to read it!!
ahh yess so I JUST started reading Scythe (well, a couple of days ago but I've been so busy I haven't gotten very far) but to me it kind of harkens that classic Jurassic Park quote: "Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should." and I am so HERE FOR IT.
Great video (new subscriber here)! I agree with you about Scythe - I’m nearly finished with it and it’s fantastic! Love the politics of the “scythedom”.
The Cruel Prince was one of my favorites I read recently! I'm glad you loved it too! (by the way, is that humming in the background your heater/AC unit? your audio quality would be so much better if that wasn't going on 😩❤️

Can anyone tell me - does the cruel prince have a romantic element at all? Thanks.
Tasia it has the smallest amount in it (and I wouldn’t even call it romantic)
Hmmm ok thanks - I really like to have a relationship to root for in my books
Tasia hi, it will definitely have a love line in the following books. :) Not so much in the first as we are just being introduced to the backstory and characters.
Top top top book I've read in the last several months - Unbecoming by Jenny Downham. Omigod, so amazing.
Kitty Machine OMG that book is amazing! I never see anybody reading it though! Love it so much!
I've become downright evangelical about this book bc EVERYBODY SHOULD READ IT. I've already had one friend who read and loved it too :)
Nice video :)
❤❤
Not gonna lie but Conspiracy of Kings not making into the list kinda stings a bit.
Watching you while drinking a hot chocolate is delightful
[SPOILER ALERT]I just finished reading assassin's blade...I'm mentally unstable.. Sam's dead. I don't know whom to talk to. Just saw your video come up... Thought you'll understand
Raashi Taneja hey i haven't read the book and i don't have any intention to, but someone who might could be spoiled by your comment! Maybe you could edit it with a warning 😊
Raashi Taneja Please put a spoiler warning in the beginning! I finished it as well last month and it was awful.
froncifresh and fgl I'm so sorry I didn't mean to spoil anything..I'm wasn't thinking clearly.
Raashi Taneja don't worry! You seemed very upset over this sam's death, we all felt that way over a character 😢
froncifresh thanks for understanding...
