Can this be used in conjunction with a third party reputable immobilizer?

Yes it can be used in conjunction with other Anti-Theft systems, and in fact this is what we suggest. Layered protection is best when combatting the car theft issue.

@@LockdownSecurity 100%. Example would be if the third party immobilizer doesn’t have a car jacking mode. The immobilizer being one which already requires a pin to enable the owner to drive the car.
This is exactly what I tell my clients in the cyber security field. Having a layered approach. Defense in depth.

@@CybersecProf Exactly, ALL the pin-code based anti theft solutions, whether from Author Alarm IGLA, Autowatch GHOSTII, Starline E9, their anti hi-jack features are from bad to great (IGLA is the worst, E9 is the best).
The best way to defend against car jacking though, is using a standalone measure, like the Amber Connect GPS
