To think this is only minutes from the noise in Niagra Falls. The wife and I fell in love with this town. The people, the food, the flowers, the atmosphere believe it or not the parking wasn't bad. Would recommend 👌 👍🏼
Just when we thought Niagara-on-the-Lake couldn’t get any cuter, we saw your video! It was super informative! We were just there but now we want to return and explore more of the town.
I was just at Niagara-on-the-Lake last month and spent a very nice day there. After watching this, I realized how much more there is to discover in that area, and I definitely will be visiting again!🤩 Thanks for your video!
Well done! Thank you!! NOTL is a favourite place of mine - the garden colours (in summer's full bloom) are especially astounding. Cheers to you and yours.
Oh,, my pleasure Mark - I am a new subscriber and will enjoy watching your other videos. (I saw the one where you rented that big swimming pool for a day and I loved it - who knew that someone could do such a thing? I didn't! LOL!) Cheers from the lovely town of Fort Erie! Just as a suggestion, our beautiful and historic race track (opened in 1897) might make for a fun "video visit" on your part next year, when live racing is set to resume in late May 2024. Your daughter will love being close to the horses (as all the kids do) as they are being paraded around "the Oval" before each race. Thanks again! @@glasbo
Oh, I should have mentioned that I have no business/political connections to the Fort Erie track whatsoever. After I sent my last message, I realized that I might be seen as being the "track manager" - or somebody. LOL! I am just an older guy who enjoys going out to meet up with friends - for a few laughs, a couple of beers, and a modest bet or two.
Very well done. Looking forward to all of your other videos. Be sure to go back for wine trail and seasonal holiday festivities. Incredibly rich historical area. Great food and lodging options.
I'm planning a trip to the falls next year september. [first time in Canada] I've started watching a bunch of videos about the area, especially Toronto, but boy does that city give off weird and bad vibes. I'm thinking that looking at these smaller villages, around the area, might be the way to go as a base station for me and my family. Looking at things from a European perspective (Netherlands), this first village entry immediately piqued my curiosity and ticks off the right boxes for what I'm into: serene, tranquil, friendly/warm/welcoming appearance, beautiful nature, small town historical vibes. Main concern is probably ease of transportation access from the airport to the selected small village of choice and then to the falls and back. Luckily, this short introduction is already pointing me into a preferred direction of research.
Toronto is very congested and if you plan to travel around Ontario and explore different areas I’d definitely suggest staying outside of Toronto. Niagara-on-the-Lake has some beautiful hotels and restaurants. I would recommend staying here instead of staying in Niagara Falls. Not sure how far you are planning to go while in Ontario but some other areas to check out would be the Bruce Peninsula and Muskoka, but you’d have to book hotels for those as they are about 3 to 4 hours north.
Great and beautifully captured video! It would also be helpful to put the names in words to each place you mention so we know how to search for them and their address. Thanks!
Great video! Where do you recommend parking for a lunch visit? Where did you all eat? We’re going next week to Niagara and would like to squeeze in a visit. TIA
Thanks! We parked on the street for free on Regent St. between Johnson and Gage. If you park any closer to Queen St you have to pay for parking. We ate at the Irish Harp. Food and service was great. Have a good time!
It’s expensive. I think most homes are over $1m. You can find townhouses, condos, etc for less but still pricey. Nearby St. Catharines and Niagara Falls are more affordable.
lol well I’m going to be passing through there for a video I’m making next month so I’ll be the judge of that! Looking forward to seeing Goderich again. It’s been years since I was there last. Thanks for watching!

Hello sir! Can we use WEGO going to niagara on the lake from niagara falls?
There is a Niagara-on-the-lake shuttle that connects to the WEGO but I don’t think it’s an additional cost.
Ahem, Queen Elizabeth declared Goderich, Ontario as Canada’s prettiest town.

Say goodbye to your pleasant town. Canada's immigration policy will destroy the pleasantness of your little village. Say goodbye! Its over!
There’s always that one malcontent comment.
