Everything looks amazing, but I think I'm most looking forward to FINALLY seeing Antiva! Treviso looks spectacular and was definitely my favorite of the showcase. Can't wait to drink coffee with Lucanis there
Hope you enjoy it! Lucanis is such a great character. I'm working on his art analysis and lore video now. And when the game is out, we all will need the best coffee we can get for a sleepless weekend haha
@@thewolfpaladin1858 I respect your opinion, not everyone has to like it, but i genuinely don't understand why people think the characters looks cartoony. I'd say some of the darkspawn look a little cartoony, but the humanoids look pretty realistic to me, especially compared to Origins or DA2 where they did look cartoony. (of course, I am no lover of the airburshed megamind qunari foreheads, but that's a different story)
Re: the water animations you mentioned @6.25 - I think we already saw how bad it looked in the mage gameplay trailer last week: whilst Rook was walking in ankle-deep swamp water, it produced a large 'V' wake, as though the character was waist-deep, rather than splashing through with their legs... it was very unconvincing!
My favourites are Treviso, Rivain and also Minrathous. I really like the cities in Dragon Age and when we become embroiled in their plots so I really can't wait to explore these regions. Also very curious about the Antaam occupation and I suspect the Teventir/Quanari conflict will be explored/referenced so I can't wait.
@@harveysidhu7030 I wonder if this means Antiva's King Fulgeno will die. Every Dragon Age game has a head of state or authority killed and succeeded by someone we choose. But Nevarra's King Marcus should be suspect because he's the oldest living monarch so far.
I'm in awe looking at this locations. They are really really beautiful, no wonder they made photomode. Something tells me there will be few spots with scenic view for vibing to soundtrack. Also, Treviso under antaam occupation sounds very intriguing. Showdown between qunari and crows must be something to see 😏
I wonder if the assassination of the Talons has something to do with the Qunari invasion that led to the occupation, or that they simply stepped into the chaos of the Crows' situation and took over the city. And what about the rest of Antiva? :o
@@flooferdoofer maybe, killing nominal leaders of the nation look like sabotage Ben-Hasrath could do in advance of invasion. It is always going to be Arlathan for me. The elves and their lore captured my heart from the very beginning and it's stayed the same ever since. Ma seranas vhenan.
Of the ones shown here, my absolute favorites are Treviso and Arlathan Forest. I've always wanted to explore Antiva, and this city is absolutely stunning. That perfect interplay of shadow, color, and light to express both beauty and danger - a perfect representation of Antiva and the Crows. Arlathan Forest is a place of such brilliant, wild magic that's remained hidden from the world at large - it reminds me of my nature walks when I was a kid, I would explore the forests on my own and I felt connected to the world around me without society making noise or pressing into my presence. I'm so excited to explore the mysteries and wonders there. As for Minrathous - that's another city I've always wanted to explore. But I'm hoping it's more than just the poor districts. I'd love to see how normalized magic is in their higher society, including the streets of the noble districts. Much like Treviso, I'd fully anticipate it to be both gorgeous and dangerous - with much darker twists than are usually visibly evident in the open streets of Antiva. I'd also very much like to see Nevarra, including but not limited to the Necropolis. Their perspectives on death could make for a truly fascinating architectural style inspired by their rich and alien culture.
I love the darkness, so my favorite was Hossberg by far. I'm also a Grey Warden at heart. I'm absolutely not biased here! But I agree that all Locations look very good and I can't wait to see them all.
So cool! Being a Grey Warden when the blight didn't really come back but the end of the world is closer than ever is thrilling!!! Hope you'll enjoy your darkness haha
They all look dashing and I can't wait to explore them! Can't say I have a favourite at the moment: it will really depend on the whole package (atmosphere, music etc) once I'm actually in game. I do have a tiny hope that we'll witness these locations become (more and more) tainted when and if the blight progresses.
I actually can’t pick a single favorite location, I liked them all! I did like seeing Minrathous in daylight. I’m definitely hoping that Minrathous and Trevino are more dynamic and substantial than Val Royeux in DA:I. I really wanted to see the Grand Cathedral and explore The Pit, and the double layered oval we got was a big letdown.
I've been pretty impressed with the areas I've seen. I don't mind spoilers at all. I do hope there are more places to see. So far I guess Minrathas seems the most impressive. I've liked all the areas honestly. As far as visuals go, I'm still blown away by the clothing and hair physics. It's so good. It really makes a world of difference. The battle mechanics too have been exciting to watch. A bit off topic, sorry. Trying not to watch too much or read too much on Veilguard to make the wait shorter, but I look for new info everyday. The only game this year I'm excited for.
That's a wise choice, my friend. Bioware gives a lot of emotional rollercoasters haha. However when it comes to locations, I'm at peace and happy. I hope DAV will not disappoint you! 🍀
I hope we also visit location in the past to like one of my biggest hope either it be this game, DLC or a future dragon age that we go back to where our first hero came from or go to where Hawk live
Finally we see other places like Antiva everything looks beautiful I must say I'm always a bit uncomfortable with dark and horroresque (so to speak lol) places like those swamps they give me anxiety lol.
They should add Starkhaven this time and after Veilguard if it is a success I hope Bioware do remaster/remake DA origins and DA2, they will focus on new Mass Effect, I also would like Jade Empire remaster as I haven't played the original game.
They might revisit Kirkwall in a future game, but they won't be remastering DA2. That engine is so outdated they have no tools to access; they would be forced to rebuild from the ground up rather than remaster. As we saw with Pinnacle Base dlc, rebuilding is not a viable option, especially for a game that, thanks to the fan backlash, probably isn't even considered profitable. However, I would absolutely love if we did revisit Kirkwall in the future. DA2 is actually one of my favorites, I can just imagine how the Hanged Man might look now. Or the Rusty Metal Spike District. 🤣
I'm also wondering what happened to my beloved Dorian Pavus 😢10 years passed and it looks like he couldn't manage the Venatori. I hope nothing bad fell onto him
At 3:05 you can see there is some kind of magical shimmer within the circular gates :o I also love the shimmers below the stacked rocks on top of the statues' head and holding up that slab of road on the left of the docks at 3:40. Arlathan Forest has got to be one of my favorite places already! Especially because of the air having a green to rainbow tint softly shifting over the sky everywhere, it just feels so magical. The Minrathous location is probably Docktown, where we meet Neve and where the Shadow Dragons are the most active. It's great to see the open and sunlit area shift into the covered area, instantly it feels more dark and dangerous. Not just a market in a poor area where you hold a hand on your coinpurse, but a place where you fear getting stabbed in the back xD 6:25; did you see the golden-highlighted contraption up on the wall? @@moonwatcher99 if you arenot paid for this then i really dont understand why you are really happy for this.. it look so bad so boring so lame. the gameplay look so boring like it was made 20 years ago and graphics look it was from 2015.
look like a fortnite game and fortnite is really bad.
@@ASAFYY Why wouldn't I be happy for this? I think the combat looks interesting, I can't wait to explore that new base, the environments look amazing, and I see no problems with the characters. It doesn't look bad, boring, or lame to me. And I've looked at Fortnite, whoever first came up with that complaint must have been trolling. Tell you what, I have my copy locked in on Day one, I'll get back to you after the release weekend and tell you if I found it boring. If you got the guts to hear an actual player opinion, you check back with me.
The 1,000 people that think this looks good are gonna be real surprised when it flops and we dont get any more dragon age games, the pre orders are abysmal and its under 200 in the best selling section on steam no ones buying this game. Everyone with two braincells to rub together sees this for the ideological viechle it is, my favorite series has been reduced to a generic arpg with woke rehtoric everywhere 😢
The way everything looks it feels like the witcher 3 but the characters look dont match🤷 hope for patch updates
wow soo many cool locations,so antivan crow gays can fight against qunari trans people amazing
I like what I’m seeing but I need to see them actually craft something like armour recipes I need to see what happens when you level up and I want to see if you can also get creative with crafting armour recipes and runes so let’s hope make some really cool wacky powerful build 🙏👍🏿
damn girl, you work fast haha
For favs I guess Arlathan and Rivian, I remember they showed pics of those two some months ago. Also of course Treviso Antiva so excited finally get to experience it.
The slums of Minrathous tho, thought they'd show the upper echelon instead. I imagine Minrathous will have the most zones city wise.
Haha, there is too much news we can talk about and I still have 2 half-cooked lore videos 😅 Idk when I'll be able to finish them
All locations have something special about them. The amount of details is unbelievable!
