MY STORY
Rewind, July 2018, inspired by a friend, I had the ‘crazy’ idea that I would step out of life’s conditioning to enable me to live my life to its fullest. I made the bold decision to leave my job, buy a campervan, rent out my house and go travel the world.
After living in my van for three years, travelling to Scotland, Scandanavia and Europe and living in Portugal through Covid I decided to make a new life in Portugal. I am now renovating a previously abandoned village house on the west coast of Central Portugal to live a more sustainable life.

You've made your home so nice, so many lovely beaches nearby too. If I lived there I'd be on those beaches every day especially after October when they're empty - perfect!

You have a nice house there and and I love the walled yard. I love that. How much did you have to do to to the inside of the house? Wisteria growing up those posts would have been gorgeous. You have so much room at your old house there it's amazing. You have so many nooks and crannies for you to do things with I love it. I love how you used your roof tiles to Make your gardens cuz I love terracotta myself. Lovely! Now you get to do it all over again with your new place and start all over it's exciting at the same time it's sad with all the work you've done at your old house but I'm excited to watch what you're doing in the future!!!! Yes I knew that about the fig fruits where the wasps get in there and when I heard that the first time like maybe 5 years ago I was horrified so I guess it's one of those things you just have to get over if you want to eat figs!
As the house hadn't been lived in for more than a year I had to do a lot of cleaning, rub all the walls down and paint all the ceilings and walls. Also had new windows and doors. This house has a lot of potential but it was always only going to be a temporary home until I found the home I fell in love with.
