THANK YOU TRAVIS! I've been researching this for 2 days now. What size fridge etc.. Couldn't find interior measurements anywhere! The Cornelius has 8 1/2 inch base x 25" tall. I was trying to calculate interior measurements by looking at pictures of them on Amazon, Walmart etc. I was measuring pop cans/bottles on top of each other. Trying to get exact height. My conclusion was the Danby 4.4. height wise but wasn't sure about the base. I see you removed the plastic shelves off the door. So, you pretty much answered all my questions in one video. Thanks Bro! Thumbs up!

Great video! My mini fridge will be inside a closet/crawlspace area. The plan is to run my lines through the wall and have a recessed shelf with the taps mounted to the wall instead of a tower. You mentioned reinforcing the top for door taps. Are there any foreseeable adjustments required for the setup I’m envisioning?

Are you planning on having the taps mounted to the wall in your house or the wall of the mini fridge? From what I recall, the top of the Danby mini fridges are pretty safe to drill through as most of the cooling likes are in the walls.

Yeah, taps will be mounted to the wall. I think I will opt to drill through the top of the fridge instead of the side wall in case I move or decide to do a tower later on.

@bretschueneman1222 that sounds great! Depending on how far the lines run outside the fridge you may need to devise a way to keep them cold. If you made a tube of pipe insulation around them and attach it to the top of the mini fridge cold air could travel down the insulated tube.

So a mistake I see lots of people doing is putting Teflon tape on the threads going to the tank. The seal doesn't happen on the threads. The seal happens against the surface of the regulator connector attached to the nut. Adding Teflon tape will damage the nut overtime and it could prevent a good seal.
I used to sell and repair gas equipment. I lost count of all the nuts I had to replace for the same reason.

Great video. I did the math based on the items used in your description. Why not just buy a kegerator ready to go and not do all of the diy? It's almost the same price minus all of the labor.

Prices may have changed over the years since I built this. I wanted a remote kegerator tower, and when I priced out pre built ones they were way more money, and I'd have to pull it apart. I always had this kegerator cabinet in mind, so I wanted to build it to custom fit. I also just like building things:)

i'm more a fan of the duotight connectors myself (not a criticism, just personal preference). good video though.
