This movie, this moment and this music, are all absolutely outstanding. From the moment Tristan yells NOOO, Alfred shoots the sheriff and the camera pans around to reveal it was him, up to when their father finally gave Alfred what he's been waiting for all his life..a loving and warming fatherly embrace - the music send shivers down to my spine. Susannah was honest with Tristan about her fears that she might have wanted both of their partners to die so that they could be together. It's a horrible but honest moment. Tristan is kind to her in that moment but it's clear to her that he no longer has any feelings for her. It's a tragedy that the bright woman with so many ideas that excited Samuel is brought down by misguided love for another man. Practice some empathy yourself and try to imagine what that might feel like, those feelings of deep guilt and unrequited love.

Many fine performances in this film. The ensemble cast collectively made this movie excellent. I remember watching A River Runs Through It, and thought what a beautifully made move then Brad Pitt made this.

Think, too, about the horse that Tristan had given One Stab and how the whole family saving fight began with that. Terri

😅😅😅 Hopkins reportedly has a wicked sense of humor. Thank you - I love him and I love that story. I wonder if Aidan cracked up or if he managed to stay in character?

Fantastic movie. Music, scenery, acting’s outstanding. If there’s any questions about Brad Pitts acting abilities, this movie answers that question. I am disappointed he didn’t do more parts like this

Still one of the best movies ever & still to this day holds the record the most romantic kiss in movie history. To many amazing scenes in this movie to even mention. It had a great short novella thats only about 100 pages. Why there's no actual physical 4k copy of this movie blows me away

You want to see Brad Pitt expressing love like it was his first time ever then you must watch Meet Joe Black he plays Death. Anthony Hopkins is also in the movie. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed

Zeb - Before ever there was a script Harrison wrote the story brilliantly. There was so much that never made the screen, which is typical for adaptations of prose to film. What is so remarkable is depth and breadth of the story which can easily be read in one sitting.
