Hi Tom I did a search online and found a PDF about getting the owner to clean up the site. BOARD OF REVIEW - DANGEROUS BUILDINGS MINUTES WEDNESDAY April 25, 2012 Laurel Hill clean-up at Quonset Hut Site - According to Ed it has been cleaned up. I always wondered what they were for too. There's so much fun old stuff in Norwich. Thanks for the video
I wish I could have asked my uncle, when he worked for years at the Thermos Co., what these Quonset Huts were used for. I will ask around myself and hopefully come up with some answers for you. It's too bad you couldn't get a peak inside any of them. The next time I visit the Norwich City Hall, I will ask the right people there. I am sure that neighbors living by this area, would also know the history of this area. Once again Tom, you have given us something to think about. The history of good ole Norwich touches us all in some way.☺Sincerely, Bill M., Uncasville, CT
This was a bus stop for me as a child; mostly bad memories of bullies, weirdos and the like. I always wondered why those huts were there. We moved to a nicer neighborhood and I could finally play without looking over my shoulder.
@@RickOshay... Yep. They do look connected. Whatever is in there is getting exposed to serious cold right now and I assume brutal heat in the summer. I’d love to look inside.
I found this fascinating, Tom. 🙌🏻
@@norakaszuba Thanks Nora.

@@jenniferhadley3818 Wow. Thank you Jennifer. Very interesting find. I’m grateful for the information. Thank you so much for watching.
Fascinating! I remember them in other Connecticut cities in the 1950s. But they have long since been removed.
@@dolittle6781 These have been there as long as I can remember. Thank you for watching.

@@discgolfbilly Bill……you’re so right……I was wondering what in the world is inside these huts. Someone out there knows. 👍🏻

@@tdm5790 I’m with you. Bullies, weirdos etc can ruin a perfectly good childhood. Glad you got away from them.
Makes you wonder what goodies lie inside...
They look like they are all connected by the
walkways in the middle, Even to that brick garage...🤔
