I used the fab form Zonts for my house build. Much cheaper than renting or buying the traditional supports and when I was done with my build the 2x4s that were used for the bracing where then used in the interior walls of the house. Great product. After I poured the basement and upper level to the roofline I was then able to sell them to the concrete guy so he could use them for other ICF builds. Only way to go. And the house is very well insulated and solid as a rock.
Not trying to sound like a jerk but what is the point of this for a vinyl liner? Yeah I suppose it’s structurally way better than a steel wall but in actual use what difference does this make? This must cost anywhere from 2-3 times as much and accomplish the same thing.
Cinder blocks don’t have the greatest lateral strength. Not saying it wouldn’t work because I don’t know the specifications but I would definitely consult with an engineer.
@@kd8118same strength when core filled as is being done here. You are paying to fill with concrete either way, makes more sense to have your form be part of that concrete too. Unless you are making some sort of year-round heated pool, the insulation adds nothing to the pool.
This is a vinyl liner! What difference does it make! If the pool was finished with a plaster type of material it would be a different story. There are vinyl pools with literal plastic walls! This is like doing the framing of your house with the steel beams they build skyscrapers with!
No, just the bits you cut of were blown to the side of the slab into the dirt. When it could easily have been put in trash bag. All through the video this waste was visible between the icf and the ground. Don’t take it the wrong way, you have uploaded a video with an active comment section, except people to give their opinions. Great job your work looks awesome and it should be a nice pool. All the best
Ah understood We put all cut offs there and get one guy at the end to bag all of the garbage. Most of the year our crew was a 3 man crew, so bulking tasks help increase productivity

What thickness are you using? 8"? I very much appreciate your videos! Thank you.

can't wait for the next episode
Thanks for the kind words 🙏

insulated pool and cheaper if you do it your self.
Why not cinder blocks? No bracing needed.
Because proprietary = can charge more

block will crack even with infil as it is not as solid due to the cores in the block@@Luckingsworth
Spencer Curve
Why have a cold joint? Why not pore the footing and wall same time? Difficult detail but better strength.

Drop in vinyl liner?
Correct
Why not clean up that polystyrene instead of just blowing it to the side. Unprofessional imo
What are you talking about?
Are you complaining that we used a blower to clean the floor instead of a broom and a pan? 😭
