- This 1962 Fender Stratocaster is one of the latest slab fretboard Strats I've seen with a May '62 neck date! I purchased it from the grandson of its original owner out of Oliver, BC in Canada. It's 100% original inside and out and in fantastic playing condition.
I'm always looking for the nicest examples of vintage Fender Stratocasters. You can contact me here if you're considering selling a vintage Fender: truevintagegui...

I bought this guitar . I am 70 and have played and owned vintage guitars since 1972. John is an excellent dealer of no nonsense guitars. He is fair and is wonderful to deal with. Last, if you ever heard of Danny Gatton, I managed his shop in 1976.
Damn, you beat me to it! Congrats on a great guitar, I'm happy for you! I own a 1960 three tone, and a 1963 three tone. They're great guitars!
He had a pristine 1960 and somebody beat me to the Punch! It was gone within 48 hrs. Anyway, John got the 62', and I bought it as soon as I saw it. 10 O'clock on a Sat, morning right after I was notified of it via Gbase. I was happy to pay $33 Grand for it! One owner, 9 plus condition. Better yet, it sounds amazing! Some do and other;s don't. I have owned a 54' for 50 years and I have a wonderful 58' that I have had for 48 years. The 58' has always been my go to guitar, until I bought the 62'. Amps! I do not play them, but I own a 58' Deluxe and a 61 Harvard. They are 10's . I am interested in aquiring a 60 three tone. The prices are a little up there. Simply due to the finish? Your thoughts would be appreciated. Best Regards, Dennis@@ccaputa
Sounds lovely!
Glad to see you post again!
Thanks for having me in man! Loved playing and capturing this guitar - someone is getting a fine instrument!
Great Demo, Thank You
@@hkguitar1984 thanks so much!
@@RiggsTaylor IMO, Your demo/performance perfectly fit the era-correct guitar/amp combination you were playing through. 👍
@@hkguitar1984 man, that’s high praise. I tried to do it justice!
@@RiggsTaylor 👍😉
Sounds killer!
Cogratulations young man , really excelent true vintage guitar. I own a Fender Roadworn 60 Strat with Toneriders Pure Vintage pickups and sounds as good as this, AMAZING. Greetings from CHILE , the End of the World
Yes, awesome with some videos from you!
More to come!
You're back! Great to see
Yes thank you! It's been too long. Pandemic and parenthood really distracted me from videos. I'm really stoked to have help from Riggs on these!
great to see a new vid from your channel John! I've said this to you before, but I really hope you can show us more behind the scenes. You undoubtedly have by far the best guitar safari documentation on the internet, and I think people will look back on them like we do when a vintage guitar has any pictures of it being played back in the day.
Hey thanks so much for this kind comment! I am looking forward to showing more behind the scenes. Thanks for subbing! You're the best!
