I could listen to this version all day…. That voice still gives me the chills…. And the way he so effortlessly glides into those high notes…. Wow…. Where light operatic meets cantorial style…..
This song was from a documentary of the same name that was nominated for an Academy Award and released to theaters. Though a documentary it was also part dramatic story and starred Sam Levene and Arlene Francis. The project was produced by the ILGWU and was put out in honor of the 40th anniversary of the 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire, the worst industrial tragedy in American history. About 150 men and women died, almost all Jewish and Italian immigrants, many forced to jump to their deaths from a burning building, due to poor safety conditions and fire fighting equipment that could not reach to the upper floors of the factory.
The first version I heard was the Delfonics. (Great version). But when I got the double cd of Tom Jones Greatest hits... One of the tracks I loved the most was "With these hand"... He put his Heart and Soul into it... And for me, it was theBest version I have ever heard
What a voice. Eddie was one of the best male vocalist.EVER.

Beautiful Voice,
He could belt one out as good as Perry Como could. I love there song they did together, MAYBE lovely song.
he's lovely. I love Vera Lynn's version too. Powerful . I love Eddie's version though - its intense but gentle. Lovely sweet voice. RIP handsome.
Many thanks, Cost, for uploading!!!
You are welcome!
He had a pretty voice...
Nobody sings this song like Tom Jones, with all due respect to Benny Davis.
