I saw that lol, I measured them twice thinking i made a mistake but the ones that come with the 507k are the longer then the ones with the mounting plate.
My Holosun HE507K-GR X2 came with TWO sets of different diameter screws: one thin and the other large. The larger diameter screws are needed for the 43X MOS. The screw lengths ( head-to-tip) were approximately 12 mm using a zeroed dial caliper. I added a CHPWS adapter plate. With the Holosun and the CHPWS adapter plate combined, I had to file off exactly 1 mm or 0.042 thousands of an inch to match exactly what the screw depth needed so as not to hit the rod underneath the screw hole.
Seriously, you should re-shoot this whole video, or edit out and replace the part where you get the sources of the two different screw lengths mixed up, and erroneously tell your viewers not to use the screws that come with the mounting plate. Not everybody will read all the comments. You could really save people a lot of headaches, and you would have more credibility.
I have a gen 3 g26…would the holosun 507k x2 fit on the gen 3? The slide width on the g26 gen 3 is 1 inch and the width of the holosun 507k is 0.98. Would the holosun 507k fit? If so, I would need to cut my slide to fit a red dot. Would I need to use a plate also before putting the holosun on top to mount it? If I need the plate, what plate number is it? I heard there are 4 different plates to use
Some people say you should use the screws that came with your chpws adapter plates while some says to used the screws that came with the 507k.. I'm so confused lol
I Agree. I have a Glock 43X MOS Gen5 model. The Holosun 507K V2 arrives with two packages of different screw size diameters: one set is thin at 3.89 mm, the larger at 4.83 mm. You need to use the larger diameter size screws. They will fit the thread well on the Glock slide perfectly. The others will just spin all day. However, the Holosun screws are too long and will hit the Extractor Depressor Plunger Rod when you torque down at the recommended 15 inch/pounds per Glock. It happened to me. When adding the C+H adapter plate on the slide with the Holosun you'll need to remove exactly 1 mm or 0.042 thousands of an inch from the screws. I based my screw length needed from measuring the Glock's MOS adapter plate screw length protruding from the base of the MOS cover plate. ( FYI: I did multiple measurements and triple checked all. Perform this at your own risk. )@vvolfgangs
For sure that is one way to go about it. I guess the plate if for those that don't want to mess w/ the slide you know if they ever want to sell it for whatever.
I know you meant " inch pounds" : that torque wrench is an inch/pound (in/lb) torque wrench only! I have it. Great video. Thanx!
Great tip on the 8mm screws! Thanx
Thank You.
Aren’t the screws provided by CHPWS a little longer because of the addition of plate?
Awesome Job Aiden.
Thank You.
The screws you measured at 10mm come w 507k. You showed correct screws to use but verbally stated it wrong smaller screws come w mounting plate

I was going to say that. You are correct.
Good thing I watch multiple videos and always read the comments. Such a great community out there that does not make videos but is always on standby.

Do you have to use the mounting plate or will a 407k or 507k mount directly to the slide?
You need a mounting plate or there will be a gap in between your slide and your sight

Thanks , good video
Glad you liked it!
Sorry im newbie. What was the lotion thing that you put in the screw before mounting it?
Blue Loctite.

INCH POUNDS, NOT FOOT POUNDS!!!!! (Reference at 5:00 in video)
Yes. Thank you for the correction.
Why is the video backwards.

Can you mount the HOLOSUN HS507K-X2 Classic Multi Reticle on a Baretta 92fs
why not just file off the rear recoil boss and not use a plate/shim

13 foot pounds! You mean 13 Inch pounds.
