Sorry Dre but your June 27th 2020 vid sounds WAY better in every way. I've never found in life doing things the easiest way gives good results. You know I am a big supporter of yours but needed to say this.
That's crazy I just went and checked it out thanks for the trip down memory lane haha. I def agree that easier isn't always better but the thing is many producers like myself suffer from overthinking/over doing things. Tools like this aren't meant to completely replace a skill but really just take one more extra thing off the plate of those that need it
This helped me out so much L.Dre! Man I need these mixing tips in my life. Less is usually more.. I also love this beat you made for this video so fun, chill and catchy! Superb job! Well done!
Side-chaining the foley creates a nice breathing affect, real vibey.
Dope tips bro 💯
Right!
Definitely going to try mixing as I go. I'm sure that will save me some time than waiting until the end. Gonna give mixea a try. Thanks for the 💎s.
Thank you fo this amazing video L.Dre😁
Love those GIK Acoustic Panels, have the same ones on my studio. They're neat. Great video Dre!!!
Literally was planning on uploading beats again starting today. Perfect timing.
You got this

This is truly an excellent video!!! I really appreciate our Lo-Fi Big Boss L.dre! To all the producers who are on their great journey, I sincerely hope that everyone can reach their own happiness after a period of perseverance💕
Thank You, I wish you the absolute best ❤❤❤❤
Much love !!
Information so important! thank you !!
You saved the day. Much needed!! 🙏🏾
Gotcha 🤞🏾
Tanks for the vid! Dope Interface you got there btw...
beatmking process are my fav thanks to share !!!
fire as always
I definitely agree with your last point to try this tool and then try it yourself a different way. I think this is a great tool for beginners looking to get their music out before they tackle the mountain of information out there on mastering, but you can save a good chunk of change once you get that skill worked out and even make yourself valuable to other musicians that aren't able to master themselves. Love what you do L.Dre!
Wow, I tried Mixea mastering and, for me, it works wonders!
I like side chaining everything too
Man you should finish this song, the song is fire ❤ 🔥
Sidechain everything 🤟
Dope video
Thanks for the game bro🙏🏾
Always

We need a video explaining how an "engineer" would do things vs this, and also the more i dig into "mastering" i found its a lie its like L.Dre said all about mixings as you go and put a soft clipper and Eq on the master and keep it pushing. but idk what yall think?
I somewhat agree with you but I do feel mastering engineers serve their purpose too. But when it comes to lofi you can definitely get away with just mixing properly and adding a soft clipper/limiter
I'd love to compare my mastering to the AI, or to just the EQ / Clipper method.. Mastering is so much more crucial than one might think. It's def a trend now a days to think nothing is needed to be done professionally and it's solely because companies wanna take independent artists money to make them think a product is going to serve your music better than a professional with 20+ years of experience in the field. Sad culture.
Respectfully though in todays world it's all about the listener and with genres like lofi having, a high quality master by a professional isn't really necessary. Most people are just passively listening through phone speakers so I can understand if producers would rather use the money they'd spend on mastering on something else like better artwork/animations or running ads or something.
👏👏👏
I always sidechain my atmos with the kick. Gotta make room for the low end
What equipment do you use to mix beats and how do you count the beats so it makes sense. Do you use 4;4 time?
I had wondered if ppl side chain lofi, imma have to give it a shot
Every time
🌱🌻🔥
Hey L Dre could you do a vid going into side chaining in detail?
I could possibly do a UA-cam short but in all honesty it's not really much to it outside of what's shown in this video
Dope video bro! What is the wireless keyboard /touchpad your using at 2:39? I love the layout is mushed together like most wireless keyboards
It’s apples Magic Keyboard and track pad
Or maybe you’re talking about the Ableton push 3 actually
@@LDreTheGiant nah the Magic Keyboard is what I was wondering about. Thanks for the tip, I didn’t realize those worked on macOS! The ableton push 3 looks like an awesome tool too
How did you get a motion cover on Apple Music without a label if it’s in distrokid I can’t find it
Ive only had that twice. Once with a label and the other someone at DistroKid was able to hook it up for me.
@@LDreTheGiant Idk why apple makes it impossible pretty much
@@LDreTheGiant do you have this person who helped you’s email or is it basically outta the question
Damn L.Dre. Huge supporter here (following since the garage days, i buy your packs n stuff) but,…i gotta say, seems like your encouraging a lot of out-sourcing. Need musicians? Hire them. Need mastering? Outsource it. Just saying bruh..Still love your content & to be clear, you’re not saying “this is the way” but, i’d like to see more work put in on your end. Look forward to the next vid👍
Ok, now I'm confused. I just watched your video comparing your trusty Sennheiser HD600 to the 820s. Now in this video you're not wearing either so what are those and why not wear your 600s? I ask because I have the HD660s and considering the 800s or 820s. My biggest concern is them being out for so many years and buying them and then something comes out this year.
I’ve moved on my friend lol these are the audeeze mm-500 they are phenomenal and have replaced the 600’s. They are open back as well
You switched to RME from UAD. Can I ask why?
Decap man lol I just needed a new interface with more inputs and Decap took me down an RME rabbit hole. I have to say there is alot about RME I do prefer over UAD. One of which is I found UAD to be really buggy. I often hat to restart my computer because something was up with it and so far I've had 0 issues w RME
@@LDreTheGiant wow that’s good to know. I thought the experience was smooth for Mac users.
Which Audeze Headphones are they?
MM-500

Is this a real song because if not then I need it to be.
I learned nothing about how to master.
I showcased the easiest way to master lol that was the title
do u rilley get money
Bummer this turned into a an add.
Creators gotta eat too man lol but it genuinely is the easiest way to master beats
the mastering cheat is not good, its just louder thats all
🔥Pin me 😁
I'm first pin pls
You are stealing beats from other artists!!
Why does everyone always glosses over the volume like literally is the only thing you should actually tell us how and u didn’t show it at all compare the volumes between the instruments or elements u know
