    Impressive flying skills !!
There’s nothing like flying your own contraption for the first time…
    Couple of pointers:
    1. An 8 x 4 prop is probably a bit much for the motor and ESC. If I recall a 6 x 4 might be more appropriate for your motor. Sizing the prop is best done by looking at the spec sheet and using the manufacturers recommended size.
    2. Balancing the plane is VERY important. The rule of thumb is that the plane is balanced when it sits horizontal or slightly nose down when supported under the wings at a point 1/4 to 1/3 back from the leading edge (approximate center of lift). If it is tail heavy controlling it can be very difficult and often results in a crash.
Having said that… great job ! Welcome to the hobby !

      Thank you very much Chris!!
This is the best corner of the hobby we’ve found so far 😉 Flyin’ has really become our jam.
After a few flights and very poor battery life and rather warm motor, we went to a 6x4! It was a lot less lively and left us with similar flight times, but the motor was much cooler!
It CG’d out about 1/3-1/2 way back on the wing but still felt a bit tail heavy. The closer I looked at it the more I realized the horizontal stab was angled a bit down 😂 I promise to measure things more next time haha.
Thank you kindly for the wise words and advice! We’re starting the next one soon and plan to film the process this time 👍🏼

👏👏👏nice concept and really interesting proportions. Thought out and built by yourself is always something special. I'm excited about M1.1!
