It’s always interesting how Greek Myth can get people to feel sympathetic for people who are toxic. And Jorge definitely captures that well cause even if Calypso is definitely wrong for what she has done to Ody, it is very easy to sympathize with a girl who was basically marooned as a child. And this isn’t even the first/only character Jorge does it with. In the first two songs of Epic Jorge gets us to sympathize very much with Odysseus and his desperate desire to go home despite being a manipulative war criminal who kills a baby. Or even how we sympathize with Athena despite her trying to groom Odysseus from a young age to be heartless killer and didn’t always reciprocate his attempts at friendship(plus all the other things she has done in myth). AAAAAAAAAA YES THANK YOU YOUR AMAZING!
The crying expressions I love it 😢
sdlkfj AAAAAAAA Him starting to cry tears of joy at FINALLY being FREE!!! aaaaaaaa I love it!
Edit to add: I love how you have Odysseus look exasperated and basically tired/annoyed/frustrated when he kneels in front of her like this is something he's had to do often. Comfort her despite what she's done to him just to make sure she's not too angry. AND HER BRUISING HIS WRIST?! Showing him crying as he sits on the bed?? AAAAAAA THIS POOR MANNN
The fact that Calypso canonically kicked off the war makes me not feel bad for her here.
OMG YOUR ARTSTYLE IS SO PRETTY😍

@@ThePen214 oh, I see what people mean now
i hate how people incorporate SA themes to epic calypso when jorge said that it wasn't canon to the musical, people hate on calypso for something that never happened. i clicked off as soon as i read the trigger warning, such an unsufferable part of the fandom nontheless
