The real life rumour was actually worse… it circulated after her death, claiming the *act* was what actually killed her, with the horse collapsing onto her. Actually it was a stroke. 🐴 😟
Women didn't wear corsets at this time they wore stays. And contrary to the myth. We're in fact comfortable. Like extreme dieters or weight loss people some women wore their stays and corsets very tight. Also corsets and stays were about shape of the gown not about the size of the wearer.
YES!!!! EVERY SINGLE MOVIE/TV SHOW ACTS AS IF CORSETS ARE THE DEVIL AND IT'S ANNOYING! Also they were basically a precursor to bras and offered extra support
Pretty sure the show says it's inaccurate.... So the same would go for costumes. I fact yes there were corsets that err later on made comfortable. Especially for the nobility but it still wouldn't tarnish the reputation it has made. There's still truth to it. And what's we?
@@priyachoudhary9896 yes this show can be excused, but every single other show/movie who says they are “factually accurate” portrays corsets/stays in this way, it’s super frustrating
Well, I do wear corsets sometimes, and it's annoying to wear, they don't let you move, just be there. As long as you don't want to move and you don't have any vascular problem, it's ok. In other case it's fucking hell
@@PAULAGDIAZ but it’s not a corset, they wore stays in this era. Also modern corsets that you get off Amazon, Etsy, Wish ect. ARE uncomfortable, but authentic, 19th century corsets aren’t

people saw no evidence of her purported sexual preference, yet the rumor perpetuates still...
When you're as much as a freak as she (allegedly) was, people would believe it because it couldn't be that far fetched.
She had an amazing taste in terms of furniture
"....His name is Mr. Ed." lol
I though the British stared that rumor about the horse?
Congrats on your progress with English as a third language.
Mr.Hands 😂🤣🤣🤣
Who knew Catherine had Indian advisors in late 1700's Russia. 🤔
Yet she had an elaborate pulley system in a stable house lmao
Just ripping off the bandaid lol
