    The authorities should confiscate any car driving in wrong lane.Nigeria is why a country should educate her citizens,people just drive on the wrong side of the road for no reasons.lt makes me agry.Awful attitude!Wike has done well indeed in Abuja,especially when you think he did all these in a year.lmagine what Nigeria will look like if all the state governors are working like wike then.Nice one,thank you.❤

      @Priscaoriade That means the road construction company did a bad job. In just two years, the road is going to be completely eroded with sand and mud.
      This is unacceptable in other parts of the world. Wike should be notified about this huge error in the construction. They should have used concrete interlock blocks to push all the open and naked soil far off the shoulders of the road. How can you have a new road with sand and mud smeared all over it? This won't happen in the contractors' country.

    Look at a newly built road looking like an old road because the construction company did not clean up the sand they left during construction and now people are marching them all over the road. Only in a corrupt Nigeria will a construction company packup and leave a site without cleaning up it's litters

    the walk way should be the last lane and the cycling way besides d main road. it's not safe for people to be walking between cyclists and cars

    • @sylviasworld9397
      @sylviasworld9397 Місяць тому

      exactly, why would they direct pedestrians closest to the cars? They need to understudy how bicycle lanes are designed elsewhere. There at least needs to be a boundary between walkers and motorists, even a hedge or a railing would do. I'm in Nairobi right now and they have bike lanes next to foot paths, but they did not design it so that walkers or those cycling are so exposed to the road and motorists.

    • @muhammedmuniru9840
      @muhammedmuniru9840 11 днів тому

      You're totally wrong, assuming car wants to pick passenger and the someone is coming with a bicycle where you said the bicycle lane should be, You'll Agree with me that collision can occur between the passenger and the cyclist,but where they put the bicycle lane there would hardly be collision between both the motorist,the cyclist and the pedestrian,if everybody act rightly.

    Those people driving on wrong directions of the road need to be ticketed, also they should disallow people parking cars on the sidewalk and bike lane and definitely make sure they don’t turn the sidewalk to market places. Lastly those commercial vehicles need some parking spaces and not anywhere they want.

    Why are we not always doing a finished job? Why? You can tell from the video that it is not completed, Jeez! I am not happy with the way things are done in Nigeria and in Abuja that is overrated. Just look at the open drainage with no protection and not covered. What sort of thing is this? Can't the contractors see that is not a good job? There is just so much wrong with our cities.

      Abuja needs LASTMA. There's really no authority that controls traffic in Abuja. Keke and taxi run the red light, park indiscriminately and cut you off at will. I just came back from Abuja and I have seen it all. The government needs their own version of Lagos LASTMA to check and ticket these people.

      There is a need for education of pedestrians, drivers, keke guys etc. These are things that go before and part of implementation of cycling lanes. In London when the cycle super highway was designed and created there was soooooo much education and research into change behaviour even with local schools and businesses. There were specific people employed by Transport for London, for this for years. Aside that schools as standard, do cycling proficiency with kids, even years before cycle lane were even a thing. We see things abroad and do not study what went into it and end up getting it completely wrong.
