My first attempt at Airbrushing fishing lures.....How do you think I did? I ain't never arted before

- Art is fun! Never really tried it before. I've painted 3 things not including walls of a house and middles school art class ever.
I think I'll start filming my time behind the airbrush.
Any suggestions?

Hey man super long time fan/subscriber and pretty jealous that it took me about 2 years to reach that level airbrushing lol. If it’s not too much to ask I’d like your advice/input if you’d be so kind. Daiwa BG MQ 20000 or New Saragosa 20000 for land based shark fishing. Will be spooled with 80lb braid and paired with a 11’ ODM Jigster Exteme 6-12 oz rod….I know these are not at the same price point but just based on the specs
looks really cool. I had actually been thinking about trying my hand at this for fun as rainy day projects when I am wandering the country in the RV fishing next year. Looks fun but not sure as I am not artistic but ahhhh-tistic as in "...ahhhh, at least you tried..."
Those are beautiful. I just make bucktails so I have no experience in spray painting but I can't imagine a pro doing a better job. Been making butterfly jigs lately. I go to all kind of extremes trying to make them look pretty. Then you take them out and one drop and the jig is gone.
Don't be afraid to paint a solid eye that contrasts with the bait's main colors. A contrasty solid eye can really pop.

What airbrush? Did you do dual action? I literally was looking at airbrushes last night and 3d printed files for lures.

I have a question: I watched your video on tactical angler's clips. you mentioned reforming split rings after they've been deformed from putting them on a large tin. How would I go about doing that? If you can make a video about that, it would be amazing and a big help. thank you
I somehow doubt this was your first time lol. They are more pieces of art then lures I think.
See the dude in the comments JMC Fishing... The last time I airbrushed a lure was at his mom's house I'd say a decade and a half ago. I'll take that as a huge compliment! Did you see the bunker I painted that I posted on Instagram? I like that better than these.. My first attempt at dots lol... I've done art 3 times in 27 years prior to this.
I like how the paint on the hook hangers exactly matches a real fishs'hook hangers. Just kidding dude. Great job. I couldn't do that if I was Bob Ross.

Looks good! I do it sometimes too and i like to use colored glitter instead of paint. After that a couple of layers clear epoxy and they are like new again. Never paintbrushed them, but i have to say your results look professional!

All look wet and glossy, I used a polarized filter to remove the glare othewise it's tough to see the paint. 2 dips of kbs diamond clear

That looks awesome, better than I could do. Now you should paint patterns on reels like false albie, striper, and other fish patterns on conventionals and fly reels
That's originally why I got all the stuff and did all the venting...but I can't find a safe clear to work with.
not sure how all the createx clears I have will hold up to abuse
and I don't want to cerakote at home

I'm having trouble getting the chrome paint I have to really pop. The gold paint I made with candy yellow over top of it has a nice gold color. (shown in the video) But it's still yellowish.
