Can you update this
GR is my original (birth and more) home city. Portland OR is my current home city. Has been since August 2 2000. GR is much less expensive... home prices and rent...compared to Portland. I still have family in GR. Being a long time vegan person Portland is far superior as far as farmers markets (mostly organic fruits and veggies), restaurants, stores, etc. GR use to suck for vegetarians and vegans. Still does. I transitioned when I was still living there in 1991. The appeal (or lack of) of GR depends on what you want from your community. If your politics is liberal/left it's also a place to avoid.
