this was on the radio a lot, but the real magic was in the arcades and the roller rinks. This was just a perfect song, for a perfect time, back when people didn't care how you voted, only if you could play pac-man.
I agree 100%. Listen to The Headpins Breakin' Down as another example. Just an awesome in the pocket player with killer thick, muscular tone from a stock single coil Strat and a Music Man 130 hybrid SS preamp/tube power section based combo amp no less. May not sound tough in this day and age, but back in those days, a player would usually go the humbucker, and higher gain master volume Marshall route for fatter hard rock tones. He's just so dialed with his rig. He's greatly missed. Fantastic guy in person as well. Real shame we lost him so young.
Ab Bryant was the bassist. But yeah, Brian played guitar, drums and keyboards in the studio. I think what happened was that the band's previous drummer and keyboardist had quit, and instead of replacing them in the studio, Brian and Bill (who played some of the keyboards and rhythm guitar) would just overdub everything themselves. They did at least a couple albums that way.
Totally LOVE Bill Henderson, Brian “too Loud” McLeod and this whole fantastic Chilliwack group! Yes, I guess I’m still stuck back in the 80’s!!!!
Fantastic live performance ❤
Rest easy Brian

Brian MacLeod is in my opinion one of the best guitarists ever!

He was a great drummer too...
Yup...I learned to play guitar listening to Brian with the Headpins and EVH...both in the same league..different styles... @@shanejb2121

R.I.P. Brian Oliver MacLeod,
nicknamed "Too Loud" MacLeod
thanks for sharing this vid!
I'm unfamiliar with this band but the sound is pure 80's and makes me very nostalgic for that time. Huey Lewis, Pat Benetar etc. ♥
love these classic Canadian acts!!
Great Venue for shows !! I have seen the Police,Bowie,Triumph, Rush and the Kinks there back in the early 80's
Love this song ❤ I never hear it on the radio but brings back great memories for me living back in Cairns in 1981 ❤
I was at the PNE for this and saw them a few time's after this. Bill Henderson. ❤
1981 FALL MTV !!!! saw these guys 1st. GREAT VID ! THANKS !
Thanks, Joe, for sharing this kick-ass, Canadian band classic video!
I had this on a 45 way back in the day one of my favorites.
Makes me smile. Loved this band. Not a karaoke song. Pretty hard to sing accurately.
Still awesome todaty
Such a kick ass tune. All parts except vocals were played by Too Loud MacLeod on the record. Such talent!!
