Lover Boy was so great in the 80s. I loved their songs!🎼🎶
I was at this show with my Dad (Socan/BMI) who was good friends with Burton. Good times. 🎶🇨🇦
Hard to believe this was 40 years ago.
Burton BABY!!! 😍 Sooo freaking HOT then & even HOTTER now!😈 I never ever tire of his voice 🤗 A stand out voice that has stood the test of time❤ I love you Burton Cummings! Mwa!💋
Burton Cummings, the best ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He sounded great here.
Burton has a great voice.
GRANDE BURTON COMMINGS, gran artista. Saludos desde Lima Perú
And the first presenters forgot to read Loverboy as the nominee of the first award who wound up winning! 😂
SAGA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHOOOOOOOOOOOO! I WILL ALWAYS LOVE THOSE GUYS! WUSB.FM NY / WAXX TRAXX TO THE MAXX!!!!
The Dreadnoughts brought me here but I don't know what to look for.
Wish I could see the whole show
This is awesome, I have met burton, I watched this back then - plus B. B . Gabor !i have a fb page dedicated to him called B.B.Gabor- Music and Stories please feel free to check it out !
Carole Pope and Rough Trade. Making all the nice people uncomfortable. Love it.
This video is a treasure trove. But is there a part 2? What a cruel tease that the BB Gabor part was not included. I'm sure I'll see footage of Robert Johnson performing before I see a clip of BB Gabor onstage.
How did Burton get that beaver joke past CBC’s Standards And Practices? 😂
"My Girl" by Chilliwack!
The Rovers in country? They are more folk or world, if you're going to label them.
Speeches...it might be best if artists would prepare speeches ahead of time and though achievements deserve thanks, hearing the same comments over and over is arguably boring. Share a small anecdote in thanks. Talk about the album or song.
Bob and Doug botched their announcements.
Burton was great as always, the rest of it really sucked!
Awards shows...at least The Junos was/is Canadian.
I like The Irish Rovers but their song was too repetitive.
Loverboy's big night? I prefer "Thirsty Ears" over "Turn Me Loose" though I love Loverboy.
Too little of that unappealing first preview artist, too much of the stereotype Bob and Doug.
