Some stories I can follow. This one I can't. Im expecting to hear two people in therapy telling dark secrets like in the title. But no.
So I'm not the only one 😭 I'm usually really good at following,even the more complicated stories. But my brain was waiting for them to go to therapy the whole time
Thank you. I can never follow these stories. They’re so bloated, meandering, and slow. I forget what’s even going on or who’s talking half the time. I find myself repeatedly skipping ahead out of frustration.
This was like the story about the robot in the lake. It spiraled completely out of control and the ending gave no hope as they had learned nothing and were going to go back.
In this one it starts grim but it only got worse. Her secrets were indeed horrible. Especially with the implications it's goings to continue and they will be forced to do things as they truly have no power

Depending... Some of your managers/bosses probably wished they did.. I can not tell you exactly what I did but very high stress job.. But then again it was that way for everyone involved.. Sadly lost my best friend to that job as well... Retired now thankfully but I still sometimes get pulled in for things..

simple, the author dint include the parts that tie the story together.
The only thing more terrifying than a creature that kills people for food is a creature that kills people for pleasure. Hungry creature you may negotiate with, sadistic creature on the other hand, will never stop, and will take any opportunity to make things as bad as possible for it's victims.
I wish you did audiobooks. Your voice is almost exactly what I imagine when I read the asylum series

I felt like this story wasn’t quite as well as it could’ve been, I feel like the location was jumping around too much and the whole story could’ve been told differently and more effectively other than just “there are monsters using humans as skin suits” because that’s pretty tame compared to some other concepts. Don’t even get me started on the whole cliche “ooooo we eat babies” thing

I listened to this while at work (so with only half my attention) and I have no idea what I just listened to but I know that I’m last part was the most chilling thing I’ve heard in a long long time...
While the narration was really good, I have to say that this story took a great premise and unceremoniously dumped it out the window. I expected a story about, like, psychopathy or stalking or psychological abuse. This didn't just go off the rails, it completely left the theme park. What a shame.
I had to replay the first 5 minutes over and over again, the writing is a little confusing??

Not a bad read but your characters need more personality. Unless I paid avid attention I couldn't tell one character from the other. Had to rewind several times to figure out who was speaking.

Deeper and darker than any that I've run across here before .

Why would this stupid , confusing, rambling mess of a story be selected to be read?? Nothing makes sense. The narrator doesn't use even the slightest inflection when reading for different characters so i have no idea who's talking most the time. Or what is going on
You know how hard it is thinking of secrets you actively keep from those closest to you?
Most of the time people only withhold information because they either think it's not pertinent, not relivent or because they simply they don't think of it as interesting.
99% of the time it's not anything you would even consider worth listening to. Certainly nothing worthy of relivation.
If your therapist asks you to do this excercise, then its pretty clear that they think that there is somthing really messed up with your relationship.

These stories are always so bloated meandering and slow. I can never follow what’s happening. I have to skip ahead repeatedly to stay interested.
This is one of those stories that after you finish it you find yourself just sitting in silence staring into the abyss. A unique kind of hopeless despair.
I’m glad someone else felt this way because yeah, just yeah. Hits a weird place in your soul and you just don’t know how to handle it exactly
