MINDBLOWN!!! I skipped my chemistry lectures for physics. Unfortunately, organic chemistry was happening. But you my man, are saving my life over and over and over!
I've been reading the book 100 times, but I couldn't understand this topic;((( And here BOOM, this guy with his video. I got my chem* together. He is amazing!!!! I wish all my professors were that good in explanation.
Great and easy to understand explanation! Would love to see irl demonstration, different techniques ie chromatography vs distillation etc. But fantastic explanation, danke
Do you have any videos that outline the process in more detail for example showing this as a mechanism and step by step outlining exactly what reagents are used to convert from enantiomer to diastereomer, and then revert them back once again? This gave me a great understanding of chiral resolution as a concept I was just wondering if you have any more vids that detail a specific example? Many thanks, your videos are wonderful!
Yeah, but this is kid of a chicken & egg problem, because in order to separate your enantiomers, you need to add only one chiral version of another enantiomer. So how do you separate _that_ enantiomer to begin with? :q
