AMS2 is full of these little gems. When I first started playing (years ago now!), I described it as a car museum, crossed with a boutique car dealership and a scrap yard. It’s completely unique.
I'm with you on these little cars, for me they're a mixture of the best of karts & Caterhams, fantastic to drive with no science to help so it's about thinking & reacting, sort of like the proverbial 'old days'. Great content again, analytics on a level laymen like me can understand &, as a bonus, some much-needed love for AMS2, which is very much my personal favourite sim :)
Yeah AMS2 is really great. The Formula Vee does indeed feel like a mix of Karts and Caterham, you are spot on. They are another great car too. When a sim gets the FFB feeling on a car like this, so right, it is a sign that the developer has really given us a great driving and racing sim. They have so much going on, and I was never in doubt as to what steering input was needed. Mega impressed with Reiza.
@@GSSimRacing idk exactly, in RF 2 i solved sharpness somehow, but in this bundle feedback feels like in over RF2 cars. AMS1 has great feedback in all aspects.
A week ago I took the Reiza Formula Vee around Laguna Seca in rF2 and it was very challenging, oversteery off the throttle and you had to have just the right amount through the corner to balance it. Great fun though and teaches you a lot. I then thought I'd compare it to the AMS2 version, and they are very different, it feeling more four-wheel drifty and much less off throttle oversteer, making it quite easy in comparison. I've done a similar comparison with the AJR (Honda) and preferred the rF2 version, which somehow felt more connected to the road.
No aero assistance! Love these things and I find the more time I spend driving this and the Tatuus in Rfactor 2 the faster I am in other cars with more power and/or aero. I would just like to see more tyre degradation in AMS2
I've never been to Brazil, but I would like to take some time next year to maybe visit some LATAM countries and Brazil too. Maybe a formula 1 race will be the push 😁. I've started to watch some Brazilian Stock Cars on UA-cam and a little of the endurance series. Although my Portuguese needs improving.
I wouldn't say directly comparable to the skippy. But not a million miles off. The skippy is kind of between this and the Formula 3 in AMS2. I think the driving experience will be comparable, even though the cars may not be "as" comparable. The Formula Trainer feels more stable vs the Formula Vee.
I know. Its a crime not to drive these. I use ACC for GT3 and these for everything else. More to life than GT3 for sure. And I'm a GT3 bunny saying that 😂
💯 these are a brilliant car for actual car control and the fundamentals of driving on the limit. I'm going to go back for more this evening. Sometimes people assume formula vee and similar cars will be slow and boring. Nothing could be further from the truth.

I think it may be because I race in a 21:9 screen. The FOV when I'm driving feels OK. I may adjust the video capture for future videos though, as I don't want you guys getting a bad viewing experience.

You should try this car in AMS1 or in Rfactor2 Reiza bundle. They are much more challenging thre, esp in AMS1 but even more rewarding
I may download AMS1.... How is the FFB in the Reiza bundle in RF2 compared to the S397 cars? Is the FFB still as sharp in the S397 models?

@@AndrewHollom interesting thoughts. I might download this for rf2 and see how it compares. Them cars really do teach car control and patience.

AMS2s answer to the Skippy? I used to prefer the Formula Trainer but I need to try them both again post update 1.4

Server with this car should be always on, but i guess people only want to drive GT3.

Yep if you can drive these and the trainer formula fast you can drive anything quick
