I have an 11 pro, storage has been full for quite a while now, it's gotten pretty annoying(64gb was a mistake lol). thinking about a 15 (non-pro), not sure if I should wait another 6 months for the 16
if you can, i recommend subscribing to icloud. if you really need an upgrade, buy now, in my opinion, the 16 will not be that much of a meaningful improvement. If you work professionally in the field and in need of pro features, i would suggest buying the pro version just in case you would need it in some scenarios. But overall, it is up to your needs
Just ordered a 15 pro max from an iPhone 8. Gonna be a huge upgrade but I was tempted to wait for the 16 but a higher megapixel ultra wide sounds pretty useless in my opinion. A higher megapixel telephoto would have been better.

In your analysis, you just made a splash info about the most important leak of 16 line-up, which is AI-supported Siri with upgraded ML cores on the next A18 Pro chip and on-device LLM processing. There have been numerous videos on that topic lately, and the supporting evidence of Apply buying tons of AI startups just confirms that leak. That's HUGE, and I think worth another 6 months wait. Unless you think Siri is great as it is, and you don't use AI at all. I'll wait for 16 Pro, at least until WWDC, which is just 3 months away, so the AI functionality gets confirmed in iOS 18 beta.
i have an XR also and i wanted to upgrade to something better but i have a limited budget so i went for used pixel 7. and i regret buying it since then. now i am planning on selling it with minimum losses and get an iphone 15. fortunately i can get it brand new for as low as $660. it is still more than i want to spend but if i keep it like XR for 4 years it's ok.
