You just reminded me of my conductor days on the CSX in Montgomery, Alabama around 2002. You were talking about pulpwood, we had pulpwood !!!. I remember it hanging out over the sides of the cars and every time you met another train you would have to get on the radio and announce " Pulpwood in train ", They were so badly loaded and some would slide out and hit oncoming trains.
I remember those pulpwood calls and hanging out on the engineer's side for a bit lol. Yeah, from what I've seen, and heard, they didn't load pulpwood nowhere near as good in the later days, as they did way back when.
The NYC Trash trains are pretty brutal in the middle of summer. However the side of the road in the Meadowlands with all its sulfur is pretty rugged. I think you have a valid argument there.
Some slop freights could do 60 on the Fitz back in the day. Provided they had zero empties, zero restricted cars and not a key train or maybe it was zero haz mat period as I cant remember. The reason most freight trains are restricted to 50 is bc most all of them have empties in them. I never had a 60 mile an hour train that met all the criteria above.
Soo line didn't have SD50's they had SD60's but either way I used to have a fit seeing them on molten sulphur unit trains back in that era. Mist of the unit trains in my neck of the woods was headed for the bone valley or Tampa
Thanks everyone for watching! Be sure to destroy that like button!

LOL it all stinks to high hell lol. I've heard the Farmer John pig/livestock cars between Nebraska and L.A. left a really good stink cloud behind.
I love that stop sign at the end lol.
Pretty serious violation if you go by it lol.
Great video as always
Appreciate it!
Thank you for answering my question. Awesome Video

Assuming you got the Depot Plus world save, we have W. Siding blocked off due to a track occupancy glitch.
Oh? Its showing continuous occupancy in there?
Gotta love those Soo engines. Is that the K5 horn?
I think it was some kind of K3 actually.
Hell ya to MRL, Grinstein's, and does CSX use advanced speed limit signs.
They didn't use any kind of advanced warning to diamond boards on any of the routes I worked. You were just required to know where they were.
Why is the top speed for freight on this route only 50mph and not 60mph.
