● DPU Realism Enhancements ◦ DPU Fencing has been changed to operate from the rear-consist towards the front (or from right towards left as you view it on the DPU screen). Therefor, use Fence Decrease to initially enable the fence (which will start by fencing off the rear-most consist), and Fence Increase all the way to disable. This is more in-line with how a real train would fence the various DPU consists, also preventing a sudden change in train forces when the fence is first enabled

The mention of Clarkson's Farm... early in the series, Jeremy goes and buys a tractor, and of course, it being Jeremy Clarkson, he goes all out and gets something completely excessive, a Lamborghini (they made tractors before they started making sports cars). It's huge, doesn't hook up to the farm's implements, and he has to cut the side of a barn door opening to get it to fit. It also doesn't do well on local roads.

As of like 2013 or so you no longer have to stop at a red signal indication with a number plate and no G plate, you can just proceed at restricted speed whether it has the G plate or not. Great video though!

According to something I watched, the San Bernardino train disaster in the 80’s was because of a series of negligent mistakes made by various people. The weight of the train was like 2000 tons more than what the crew thought it was, so they left Mojave yard with not enough power. Also, the dynamics didn’t work on one of the helpers and the crew in the lead unit was not made aware of the problem.

Gaming saturation began with Minecraft roughly in 2012. Then the run up on anything GTA, CoD, and so on really pushed the market. It got worse once Google bought UA-cam, which caused them to change the algorithm so that gaming channels where not burying the corporate content they wanted (such as VEVO, Paramount, etc.) Unless you were an influencer (I despise that term) they'd prop those channels because Google could sell that to investors. Thus small channels died off, and what made UA-cam great died. UA-cam gave up the "Broadcast Yourself," star ratings, limited comments for shareholders. Twitch is not the Twitch of old, and in fact they hurt content creators more by taking half the profits (sounds a lot like the music industry). I game up content creation because working hard for nothing made no sense. I'm results driven, and it seeing little to no growth despite the tips out there was no longer worth it. It was no longer fun.

Have just watched up to the tractor purchase at the 44 minute mark and gotta say this is way better than TV😂😂😂 I'm getting vibes of that pommy bloke at Clarkson's Farm, an unmitigated disaster if ever there was one. I'll bet Mrs Spur is looking on thinking "please don't give up your day job" lol!!! All good fun and knowing Spur from his Run8 efforts fully expect him to master it all in good time. I haven’t done Mojave sub in a while. I think I’ll have to revisit it soon. Only problem is that it’s a big commitment because there aren’t many good places to stop.

Watching you play Run 8 on one monitor while I played Run 8 on another monitor is probably the reason that I missed my red signal when watching you take a green one. Oh well, I'm glad for backup saves.😁😁

We call these Slinky's where we are, they are 50 cars max since every car is like that first car you have on your head end with EOC's (End of Cushion drawbars). Ours usually consist of one motor on the head end and two on the rear. Making it a challenging run in our undulating terrain. Definitely a bowling ball for sure and can get out of hand easily. We were taught to always push on the rear even going downhills must always be in power. Great video!

Spur do any of the West coast vehicle trains take imports out of the ports to the East? So that way they could be loaded out of the basin.

Hey man. Love the videos. And you have also caused a major conflict for me do I want to get run 8 or railroader lol. I don’t have a question if I may. What find of failure system does run 8 have are they service based or you can trigger random failures

I like how the speedometer has the added indicator of your rate of acceleration/deceleration. I imagine that would be pretty useful in mountain territory. You can immediately see if your brakes are working and whether or not you're applying enough brake.
