British band formed in Liverpool in 1960. Consisting of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, the band made music history and influenced generations of artists. In this video, we explore their story from their beginning as a Merseybeat band to their rise to global fame as Beatlemania.
The Beatles' story begins in 1957, when John Lennon formed a band called The Quarrymen. Paul McCartney joined the band in 1958, followed by George Harrison in 1959. The name 'Beatles' was adopted in 1960, after the band's original drummer, Pete Best, was replaced by Ringo Starr. The Beatles' final line-up had been achieved.
At the beginning of their career, the Beatles performed mainly in clubs in Liverpool and Merseyside. Their musical style was that of Merseybeat, a local music movement that developed in the late 1950s. Merseybeat was characterised by acoustic guitars and an upbeat beat, and was popular among working-class youth.
In 1962, the Beatles signed a contract with the EMI record company. Their first single, 'Love Me Do', was released the same year and reached number 17 in the UK charts. Their first album, 'Please Please Me', was released in 1963 and was a great commercial success. The band quickly became famous throughout the United Kingdom and began to attract attention in the United States.
The Beatles' real success began in 1964, when the band performed in the United States for the first time. Their appearance on the 'Ed Sullivan Show' was seen by 73 million viewers, a television record at the time. From then on, the Beatles became a worldwide sensation, known as the 'Fab Four' and their music became a global sensation called Beatlemania.
The Beatles' discography is vast and includes 13 studio albums, as well as numerous singles, EPs and collections. Their first album, 'Please Please Me', was released in 1963 and was followed by other hits such as 'A Hard Day's Night', 'Help!' and 'Rubber Soul'. In 1967, The Beatles released 'Sgt. Grazie del video molto informativo. Purtroppo quei tempi non li ho vissuto, però mi piacciono molto i Beatles. Non tutte le canzoni, ma molte. Sono collezionista di vinili, quindi ho iniziato con "the red album, the blue album, the white album". Adesso ne ho un paio in più. La mia canzone preferita è "let it be".

George organizzò personalmente il concert for Bangladesh al quale gli altri Beatles furono invitati ma solo Ringo si uni' a George!!! Gli altri due non andarono al concerto!!!!!!
