- We've all heard of the Taliban, but another semi-autonomous group to come out of Afghanistan and neighbouring Pakistan is the Haqqani Network, a secretive branch of the Taliban with close ties to Al-Qaeda and who now look to be one of the most powerful groups within its overarching umbrella.

The story of Haqqani networks began, when US president Jimmy Carter administration requested to release prisoners extremists from prison of Jordan and Egypt gather them together with extremist ideologist from Palestine and Yemen and send them to North Pakistan to indoctrinate the Pashtun's refugees minors (people under 18 years old) and send them to war against the Soviets. For not mentioning that a BIG dislike to your video.
And your video is another mumbo-jumbo that saying: "We are from West and We are the Angels among the mankind and never done nothing wrong". And on that note I want to say to you to become adult and fulfil the lack of deontology and reduce pro-western propaganda in your vids. Otherwise among your subscribers you will have none of critically thinking people and only people that you will have would be the believers in "Western Holly Media"

Fun fact Anas Haqqani fancies himself as a Pashto Poet. The Us jailed him for four years with a lot of solitary confinement for no crimes.

Haqqani is the same as taliban, says taliban. Not a different entity. Haqqani is a deeply devoted fighter who has lost 57 members of his family as martyrs including 4 of his sons. He really believed in his cause and he is deeply appreciated among supporters of the new government of Afghanistan

3:06 Operation 'Zarb e Azb' was not launched under US pressure but because the Pakistani Taliban had attacked an airport in a Pakistani city (Karachi) and in response, a military operation was launched into The tribal areas called Operation 'Zarb e Azb'
lol get your facts right. The whole operation was orchestraed by CIA and ISI , the first string was pull by naPak army by allowing US military to bomb the tribal area.

Go into roots of pislam and you will understand. They have not anyone to fight with and they are eager to j-ihad. So they are killing each other. Lol
Operation Zarb-e-Azb (the final blow) was launched after a terrorist attack on a school in Peshawar in which more than 150 children, mostly of classes 8-10 were martyred on 16th Dec, 2014. Also, Pakistan Army had been fighting the terrorists for a fair amount of time before then Operation Rah-e-Nijat (Road to Riddance), 2009, and Operation Rah-e-Haq (The Righteous Way), 2007, are two examples.
The reason Pakistan launched a huge operation in 2014 was not American pressure, but the fact that those guys had murdered more than a dozen of a dozen young boys, all their facade of holy warriors was shattered and the fanatic elements that used to support them no longer did, therefore the government was now confident that it could take stern action with public support. Hence, Operation Zarb-e-Azb.

very well put together! I ended up getting into fights with factions from the Haqqani Network in NE Afghanistan. These guys fought MUCH differently than Taliban. The Taliban never really seemed to want to actually fight. They would just kinda shoooo us away with some harrasing fire, maybe keep saying on the radio theyre about to attack us (knowing we can hear them) as like a scare tactic and the second air support came? They just threw down their weapons and hid and ran away. The Haqqani guys? Complete opposite. They wanted to get into a fight. They would almost never talk on the radio unless it was really necessary, they seemed to have talked on cell phones alot more than radios knowing it was a bit harder for us to hear cell phone traffic and required more work (I wonder how they knew that?) they never gave any warning to us they were about to ambush us...they just did so. Super up close, almost always within hand grenade range, and fought super fierce like. If we called in air support on those guys? They would actually shoot at the birds and in fact actually shot a pilot doing a call for fire into a court yard one day. Thats when we knew who we were dealing with was not the Taliban and was deff someone alot different. Intel was always unclear who was Haqqani and who was Taliban so we always just said they were Taliban, but when all the leaders of these factions were constantly moving back and forth from Pakistan...thats when we knew. They would come back with more weapons, more men, suicide bombings in Kabul would rise when they came back (probably because they got more bomb making material, typically a compound we called HME) and fighting got worse when they would come back. It was still unclear if there was direct correlations from OUR point of view to the Pakistani government but we thought there was NO WAY these guys were getting THAT much equipment and weapons, THAT much men, and its somehow right under Pakistans nose. There was just no way. We do remember a sister team doing a patrol one day on a day they had intel, guys were going to cross the border back into afghanistan and actually got into a firefight with Pakistani border patrol which was completely provoked by them. Our sister team saw them on the border, they waved at them, and the border patrol started shooting at the team. These guys definitely made the Afghanistan situation much more......fragile. Alot of them actually getting foreign fighters into the country from Lybia, Iran, Jordan, Chechnya, Yemen...the leaders spoke Urdu when we heard their voices on the radio or a cell phone (what they speak in Pakistan) and in fact we had 3 men come up behind us one time on a mountain ridge line while my element was giving support by fire and sniper cover to them and someone yelled out there was guys behind us and fired a warning shot and they stopped. They were unarmed and we were telling them to slowly walk towards us in Pashtu and they just werent responding. They just kept staring at us weird. One of the guys with us actually spoke Urdu and started speaking that, and suddenly understood and came over as I searched them. Funny enough, 30 mins after we let them go in the direction we let them go....we got ambushed from that direction.

We in Europe have been struggling against religious obscurantism for centuries, we are winning but the war is far from over. 6. I heard from trump saying that taliban are weak. I saw Americans in fear signing a deal for no attack on them .
7. I heard that Taliban during and after capturing will shed blood on street . They captured without bloodshed and streets were operational .
They were either always underestimated or either portrayed wrong by the media.
And
It was ahmad masood's plan all along .they will let the government fall then move in panjshir where they had stock pilled weapons and munitions then demand for one third of representation in the taliban but little did they knew their plan will fail . When they held the panjshir districts they had the leverage to negotiate now they have lost it so no negotiations just surrendering is the better option. you are not that good fighters . You are just there for power , not fighting for nation to give up your lives for the Afghans. Now fleeing to Tajikistan living safely with all the black money while the Afghans die in the war started by him Karma britch !

Mullah Umar didn't Study From Haqqania, many journalist did say that But He isn't a graduate from Haqqani, a Pakistani journalist Hamid said He did spoke to the incharge of Madrasa and He stated that They have records of all graduate where Mullah Umar isn't there.
The reason some journalist say this is because alot of Mujahideen leaders who fought against the soviets did study and train there.
Mullah Umar However did fought alongside with Mujahideen and lost His eye in Jihad after which He is started teaching in a mosque in Kandahar.
But He might have studied from some small Madrasa, He was not even a known person during Soviet Jihad and Even after becoming leader of Taliban He kept low profile and still much of His life is mystery.

Arab fighters were there and they were fighting with Afghan fighters but under their leader Abdullah Azam. And Al_Qaddah was founded by Abdullah Azam and Osama changed the name and made it official. But Arab fighters was called at that time Al _ Mohajreen , which means immagrant.

And you are correct to state that the majority of Hindus want Hinduism to be dominant in the social and political life of India. They have turned their back on the secular nature of India's conception. To be a alternative to Jinnah's Islamist Pakistan. And have now embraced Hindu nationalism.
Unfortunately this will tread on the rights of religious minorities. I would disagree that Congress is like the BJP. I think the RSS have likely done a good job of changing people's minds to become Hindu centric in thinking. So Congress has to appeal to those sentiments to get elected. It will take a decade for India to get back to it's secular roots. But the media needs to play a large role in reconditioning people to secular values.
And I believe if India's economy goes in a tailspin people will vote Congress in. Then they need to start reconditioning people to a more secular pluralistic mindset. If they don't eventually civil war and India's split will occur. Or a Fascist will take power. And this goes for many countries even the US. We have a third of the population that would want Trump to be dictator. These current events echo the 1930s.

2:08 this is completely wrong they wanted a place in the new Afghan set up but were denied, they lobbied for years and then in 2006 they gave up and decided to join the Taliban, which was to be a big mistake (like a lot of other mistakes) as the Haqqani fighters proved to be the deadliest faction of the Taliban.
