This is very creative, Clara! I love the scale of the popsicle sticks and the color variants. It’s a big improvement from a blank white expanse of desktop! Kudos for experimenting. The top looks great.🌸

Great work! I love seeing how an “imperfect” process can still turn out wonderful! I am about to DIY/renovate an entire house, so I need all the inspo I can get.

It’s adorable!! I love this hack, I’ve seen it on dressers and drawer fronts but not for a desktop. Super creative look for your office, Clara!💜

Lovely, creative idea that turned out great! I have a wildflower garden. Ok, it's just dandelions :) But I do have butterfly bushes, roses, and yuccas.

😲 Gorgeous desk top. You’ve really done some very interesting projects since you’ve begun DIYing.

Loved the final result Clara-so happy you share your trial and error and how to fix it. Thank you! My husband's the gardener, and we now have two tomato plants planted so far, our goal is nine!

The end result is lovely Clara. For the first time in years I planted some Sweet Pea seeds on St Paddy’s day (that’s the last day to plant them here in Australia) and I’m thrilled that about 15 of them germinated and are now about 15cm tall. I should have flowers in a month or so. Woohoo!!

    Very nice desk makeover!
We just planted three different types of tomato plants, a cucumber plant, a pepper plant, and three marigolds.

Really cool look. I love gardening, I grow everything I can cram into my small urban backyard! I even put growbags along the driveway for extra plants.

It really turned out well. It is an interesting technique that I may try in the future, since I have some mid-century modern furniture that I would like to flip. I would be interested to hear how well this project has held up. You didn’t mention doing a scuff sand on the desk. Especially given that it is a slick, laminate surface, I don’t think I would personally be comfortable skipping this step. Bottom line, after you went back and fixed the edges, it does look great. Considering this is the first time you have done a project like this, and given the available tools, a big 👍🏻!!! (I don’t critique on an easy scale, so that is high praise.)

This came out pretty good. I think this would look nice under epoxy resin.

Pretty sweet! It took a minute but it came together nicely. I grow scarlet runner beans in a big wine barrel. It trellises up and gives vertical interest.

I have learned my lesson not to plant until after mother's day here in Colorado. We like to get blizzards out of nowhere in May! Fingers crossed it doesn't snow on my little herbs next week when I plant!

Awesome job! I made a small herringbone side table with scrap wood so I can appreciate how much work it is. I'm currently doing starter plants inside that i'll put out in a couple of weeks since it's cold in Michigan.

Container gardening tomatoes and green peppers. Also planning on adding some herbs. Lettuce is going in the ground. Hopefully the bunnies will like it and come feed.

I've been trying to figure out what to do with my kitchen cabinet doors since they are SO WRECKED!!! I'd probably have to put a walnut stain and some Polly on it, but this looks just TERRIFIC!!!! Where did you get your sticks? I just love this!!!!! Thx!!!

I love how you compiled this video and waited awhile to see how it held up. It looks beautiful! But how did you get rid of those rough, jagged edges? Was that a wood filler you used or was it the wash you used?

    • @angeladickson9894

Love this! It's like DIY meets crafty meets high-end fabulousness 😍 How do you like the sit/stand desk? I'm thinking of maybe getting mine at IKEA to test drive the idea. So, our gardening season is just wrapping up here in Phoenix, soon (like, this weekend) it'll be to hot for plants. We just harvested some string beans, tomatoes, and chives!

You should used a clear epoxy top coat for a smooth finish and would be much more durable.

I’m just curious…. Why is it when one channel does something most all the other furniture flipping channels do the same thing?

I don’t think that this is necessarily true, but in this case I was inspired by Katie and wanted to try this.
