I got 2 of the heritage audio motor city eqs and I can't say enough good things about this style of eq. So simple to use and the color is lovely, happy more companies are getting on it!
Have you tried the UAD version of this eq? That plugin was actually a pretty big deal for me. For about 10 years I had been on the Slate subscription. I was tired of paying for it because I was only using a couple of things from it, but I needed an eq that could do what the sub band on their custom eq could do on my kick bus. I tried tons of different eqs and nothing could do it until I tried that 50hz band, and so that plugin was what allowed me to cancel the Slate subscriptions would absolutely consider buying a hardware version if this can do that thing even better lol.
Seems like a slight shame that the MQ-2 lacks the harmonic LED indicator light that the MQ-1 has? I know use your ears, but a visual representation like that can be handy for saturation. Does that light on the MQ-1 work well/usefully? Also - assuming there's centre detents on the EQ knobs? Going to buy one of these units, just can't decide which yet.
Those are mind blowing really specially when you first see them as 500 series!! The compressor is THICK!

Thanks for your videos David. They are always very engaging and informative 😊
Pretty 🤩 cool thanks 🙏 for the demo
Great review! Love my Drawmer 1968
Great review and showcase as usual David. Thank you.
Little stick of dynamite!💥💥
I love all my 500 series modules!!!
I have a similar one like this as a plugin and love it, though nothing beats hardware!!!!
🔥 Another good one
Given the price as well... dam good
Awesome! Now make software emulations of them.
If you go easy on the crush the MQ2 could be a drum bus no problem
Got to have 1
Thanks!! authentic but bad? Like a DBX alternative?

That's how my acoustic guitar is supposed to sound!
Ok so great for parallel drum bus, is it a vca comp?
It's not specified but it's mostly likely a fet. Program dependent and most drawmer designs are fet based.
Hey David
İmagine that i buy it, and i want to use this mq2"only" for my mixing..only this unit as a hardware unit. what is your suggestion.?

Yes they have a center dent. And I would personally get the 2 unless you need dual mono eqs
Thanks for the review they will go perfect with my Tom Hilbe Mo 5
These are going to sell like hotcakes…
Yep
That crush isn't subtle at all.
Gee David I was kind of wondering how the MQ-1 sounded what happen?
What do you mean what happened? It sounds the exact same as the MQ-2 😄 it's the same exact eq
You must be very rich my friend
That's pretty random lol
@@mixbustv well.. having all this it is not that random
