The only one of my old hardware synths I've missed as a vsti! Great news. Sold my CS-01 back in the 90s to a dj that also worked in a fastfood stand and got free meals for a year 😂.
I was totally uninterested in this synth until I actually demoed it - it feels "alive". Big fat dirty sound, great FX, and very minimal CPU hit. I've been using nothing but BA-01 and the outdated, but still good Sylenth1 for everything this week. Great combo for 90's D&B/Jungle sounds 🤷♂
This music sounds so familiar and yet I can't place it. It's very effective at building tension whilst sounding melancholically elegiac. I don't have the time to sift through lots of music to try to find it, though. This synth has a good basic sound, some nice options, and a good user interface. It's not a bad start for Baby Audio in the synth world.
Baby Runner synth! lol Seriously, I use this synth on 70% of my projects these days. BA-1's Neon Black expansion is fire, check that out if you haven't.
Interesting synth, but I'm not sure if it would replace any of the other synth emulations I already have (Arturia V collection, for example), so I'll have to look into it a bit more. You did a nice reproduction of the Blade Runner End Titles track by Vangelis, but it sounded a little faster than the original 🙂.
I can’t say. Could be so much. Check if your levels aren’t clipping on those sounds is one place to start. Other thing is to check if it happens when you increase the buffersize of your interface.
not every developer can make a good VA filter for synth by completely removing the "digital harshness" on first try apparently. I have high hope but this one not for me I guess. Thanks for the super fast video review, appreciate it. 👍
This seems like a nice little analog synth emulation at a decent price for anyone just getting into synth plugins or who wants to add this particular flavor to their existing virtual synth arsenal.
@@cedricdixon99 ah I get where you're coming from..I guess everything is worth it when your looking for a sound and cant find it.. I guess lets get everything...yeaaah!
Did you recognize the tunes in the videos?

Blade Runner End Titles Vangelis. Duh
Yesssssssss hahahahah
I really like these simpler synths. Having a million options can be cool, but sometimes having something with constraints is awesome.
As long as it sounds good, right!
Easy. Sandstorm by Darude
Ooooooo. hahahaha nice one ;-)
Wrong channel ;)
That drum and bass clip at the end was epic
Thanks!
Great demonstration (and tune!) Baby Audio makes some great plugins, including this one!
Yeah, baby audio has a standard to keep up because of their previous plugins and I'm happy that this one delivers as well!

Ah you mean someone who worked in a fastfood stand and also did some dj-ing ^^

Yeah man, this is quite a stunning little beast.
I am so in love with this synth. Will buy it very soon. Love the 80s sound ❤.
Ofcourse buy it with my links ;-) BA-1 sounds great doesn’t it!
Man I love blade runner so much, you really nailed that outro!
Thanks man. Honor the greats, right!
Wow, "Jump" and "Blade Runner End Theme?" Very cool!
haha yeah ^^

The right answer was already given here somewhere in the comments ;-) But yeah, i'm impressed with BA's first synth.
@@whitenoisestudio Ah, yes, the outro! Vangelis did wonders with the Blade Runner score!
@@BF-up5xw Absolutely. Such an epic soundtrack.

Yeha man, its an awesome synth.
Vangelis!
Yesssssss!!!!
6:10 D&B Reese
Yup!
The Reese drum&bass is sick !!
Thanks!!!
If I well understand (I don't understand english perfectly), it's a preset but you automate the cut off and a little the FM sliders, right ?
Yeah mostly. I think I enabled chorus on it and some delay / reverb. But nothing special.
Ok cool, thanks ;) Now I need this synth...!
I would have love to have a line input for other instruments to share the nostalgic signal path and meld sounds further.
What exactly does the breath controller of the CS01 modulate?

Yeah it's 120 BPM here. The synth is fun though, i would take it for a spin and decide then.
@@whitenoisestudio I just might do that 🙂
made the mistake of buying before listening. It's a toy I'll never use.
Always watch my videos first ;-)
Great synth especially for lofi and pads shame the filter isn’t great
O I think the filter is very capable. You do need to find the sweetspot. And its absolutely a great synth :-)
I've enjoyed it but some sounds break up like my CPU is having issues, but it shows only around 12% usage so I'm not sure why I'm experiencing it.

TRON-TASTIC
I think the BA-1 could do that!
Is that the end credits of Blade Runner?
Absolutely Bladerunner!
@@whitenoisestudio my old memory still works :). Esp remember it from the Director’s cut

haha maybe the release was fast, but the video took a few days to create.
Filter is sweet. Can selfoscillate. Reminds me Roland TB filter.

Neuh, zit zo'n 70km tussen. Je hebt zalfjes voor steenpuisten trouwens ^^
How'd they get something that simple looking and easy to use to sound so thick and grimy? The mind boggles.. Thanks for uploading :)
Maybe they squashed it in ;-)
