Five Nights at Freddy's Gameboy Color Demake! UPDATE: Endings & Extras ► ua-cam.com/video/c3IZ9Y9f9bE/v-deo.html 0:20 - Night 1 6:08 - Night 2 7:56 - Puppet Easter Egg 8:51 - All Jumpscares
The looping chiptune music, the talking cutscenes, the jumpscares with their eerie sounds This nails that classic horror game feel right on the head gg to its creator I can totally imagine my younger self playing this on a game boy and genuinely getting scared
I dunno if it's a GBC ROM but I'm definitely downloading it when I get my new computer next week. I want to say it looks easier (better word might be simpler) than the normal one, but it's already flicking my Fear switch.
I agree, I can imagine being a kid playing this on a GBC/GBA and be very creeped out by it. It would definitely be one of those “nostalgic terrors” we have
Imagine you are a 7-year-old kid, you are playing this in mid of a storm, lights went Down in your home and at the same time, lights went Down in the game, and Freddys Smile appear in the darkness, dreadfull...
I think the easiest tweak to make to the cameras is to make the player select each room and press a button to see if an animatronic is there. Simply showing all of their locations by default makes it too easy to flip up the camera for a split second and see exactly what's going on. Since you already have to hold left and right to interact with the doors, I'd make the camera flip up with the A (Z) button and close with the B (X) button, and while the camera is up, you move a cursor to your desired room and press A to display if anything is inside. This emulates the frantic camera swapping of the original while keeping it simple for the Gameboy.
This is actually pretty damn brilliant for a GBC game. I especially liked the power outage game over, as it had such deceivingly jolly music while Freddy's somehow creepier face just remains locked on the player before actually interrupting the song and jumpscaring them.
I could totally imagine, like, this being a rife conversation topic on the playground “I got golden freddie!!” “You didn’t!” “I did! It crashes your game and then haunts your sleep” “No it doesn’t!” “Yes it does!”
And then some kid would come into the conversation "I got golden Bunny to! Apparently all the animatronics have golden forms, and if you get killed by all of them you unlock a secret animatronic. But the others are really rare, so it's almost impossible to get them. But trust me, my uncle works at nintendo"
I wouldn't say so. The jumpscares are definitely scary but the atmosphere isn't. I'd play this because it seems like an interesting version of the game.
I wouldn't say it's creepier. That jumpscare definitely got me, so it can be considered scarier, but not creepier. The original game's atmosphere was very creepy, but this one isn't.
Problems in game design: Phone Guy unskippeable; You know automatically where they are, which was a big part in the horror aspect of the original game (trying to spend as little time as possible in the cameras, while still trying to painstakingly find the animatronics); That said, I'd definitely play this on a game boy
I think golden Freddy’s death screen and the power outage screen are the creepiest parts of this game, I can totally imagine myself or other kids being very creeped out by the lack of sound and the void eyes of golden freddy, the game over screen actually holds up pretty well too. Gotta remember this isn’t scary to us but if it were a kid playing it which would be the target demographic it would be terrifying
This is sure to give nightmares to kids if this was actually for the Gameboy Color. This is actually more creepy than the actual game, not gonna lie! Well done!
@atomskreborn5740 you got to think of what playing this as a kid in the late 90s early 2000s who has no prior horror experience would be like. It's like if you haven't played any horror games before and then play fnaf 1. I remember when I first played it I was 8 and it scared me so bad I got nightmares from it and deleted it but glad I came back recently lol😂
Freddy,Bonnie, chica and foxy jumpscare: "their head pops out while their mouth open and close" Golden freddy: "Static with loud noise and recieves a death screen"
This is so well done! But the only thing that I find inaccurate about the transition is that since Five Nights is so sound cue heavy, there naturally, as is the case in the original source material, not have any background music. Ambient world building music that goes for a few seconds at a time at random (like the music in some of the later games) does work and serves to also make the setting more creepy and uncanny. Not so however in this case
I mean... Not really? Microtransactions and bloated day one patches are about to cause another video game crash like the late 80s. Indie-wise, we're at a golden age, but the game industry right now is not in a good place. Nintendo is really the only ones who have been killing it lately.

The fade out after each jump-scare is very good, too bad there aren’t any cameras though, that’s most of what made the original game scary to begin with
I like the music oddly enough, has a catchy vibe to it somehow Graphics are pixelated and nostalgia inducing, and it looks like the gameplay translates well enough Shit if this were out when I was a kid I'd probably have bought it I know the phone conversations are straight out of the main game but I feel like it would be best if they were snipped a little
This is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen! Also I like how the Text box around phone guys dialogue has the eyes from the keypad in Sister Location
Blank D yea it’s kinda showing his stages from the real game how he slowly leaves (moves up) and then one you can’t see him that means he’s coming for you
it prolly works like when you have the camera up he doesnt progress as much or at all through his stages, and when he dissappears then well... ye fucked
The jumpscares are actually quite frightening, well done?! A steady, single unnerving tone during the Golden Freddy jumpscare would've been an improvement, but other than that you did a good job!
Funny thing is, Scott used to make 8-bit games before he made Five Nights at Freddy's. Imagine a universe where Five Nights at Freddy's was made into an 8-bit mobile game instead.
This is all really well done and expertly made, but my only gripe with this is the music. I feel like if only the title screen had music, that would make things a whole lot more ominous.
Knowing that I was afraid of a lot of things as a kid, if this was a thing back then, I would’ve been so scared from this hypothetical game that I would’ve been freaked out by the soundtrack that would be looping in my head constantly (which was also what happened when I was playing Pokémon Yellow and the Lavender Town and Pokémon Tower music would loop in my head constantly for a while)
Pros: Artstyle is interesting, keeps a creepy aesthetic, jump scares feel more creepy with a lack of screaming, but instead an ambient bleep. Cons: I would’ve preferred the music to be Silent or more ambient sounds to be there instead.

Can I get an explaination on how Foxy works here? The others are still the same, right? If not, can I get explainations on them too?
In the left of the camera you see a foxy head going up when it disappears that means he's coming to get you
Blank D yea it’s kinda showing his stages from the real game how he slowly leaves (moves up) and then one you can’t see him that means he’s coming for you
@@notzajoc502 yep
It's a Gameboy Color. I bet they don't have any.
it prolly works like when you have the camera up he doesnt progress as much or at all through his stages, and when he dissappears then well... ye fucked
When the power dies, so does the backlight.
Oh wait...
What
JESUS CHRIST, FREDDY’S LIGHTS OUT ATTACK SCARES ME ._.
The jumpscares are actually quite frightening, well done?! A steady, single unnerving tone during the Golden Freddy jumpscare would've been an improvement, but other than that you did a good job!
imo the silence is way bettee
If Fnaf Was a Part of Nintendo History

God no......Its bad enough where dealing with "him" (COUGHCOUGHsansCOUGHCOUGH)
Gosh...Matpat was right!
I'm READY FOR FREDDY!
if he joins in i'm gonna stop playing that game for the rest of my life
Funny thing is, Scott used to make 8-bit games before he made Five Nights at Freddy's. Imagine a universe where Five Nights at Freddy's was made into an 8-bit mobile game instead.
This is all really well done and expertly made, but my only gripe with this is the music. I feel like if only the title screen had music, that would make things a whole lot more ominous.
Taking "Game Boy Horror" from Luigi's Mansion to a whole new level
I like how Golden Freddy just resets the night.
Knowing that I was afraid of a lot of things as a kid, if this was a thing back then, I would’ve been so scared from this hypothetical game that I would’ve been freaked out by the soundtrack that would be looping in my head constantly (which was also what happened when I was playing Pokémon Yellow and the Lavender Town and Pokémon Tower music would loop in my head constantly for a while)
Pros:
Artstyle is interesting, keeps a creepy aesthetic, jump scares feel more creepy with a lack of screaming, but instead an ambient bleep.
Cons:
I would’ve preferred the music to be Silent or more ambient sounds to be there instead.
It’s a game boy 😭
